It took some time to get the job scheduled, but they showed up as promised and did a good job of installing the new openers.

There has been no contact from Doug's but someone had my money. When we called secretary said that Angie's was at fault?? Not sure who is lying.

People were professional, new their job, did excellent work in a timely manner and were quick to respond to my needs.

Totally satisfied with Douglas. They were professional, arrived within two days and at the scheduled time, did quality work and were reasonably fast. Fast enough to do a good job but didn't rush to finish. The installers were friendly and courteous and very knowledgeable. I wish all venders were as accommodating.

Great - once they were able to get on your website and find my transaction - after that they couldn't have been nicer. Withing 3 days of confirming my purchase they had an installer at my house who was profssional and courteous. I would and am recommending them wholeheartedly.

Ernie came to our home and gave us an estimate for the work to be performed. He was prompt and courteous, and arrived when he said he would. Once we decided to have Douglas do the work for us, he ordered the doors and said we'd have them installed in the next 2-3 weeks. 2 1/2 weeks later we received a call for the workmen to come the next day to install the doors. The men showed up exactly when they said they would, worked solidly all day, did the work as promised and cleaned up when they were finished. They were cheerful, polite, and most importantly, did a great job! The doors run quietly, smoothly, and we couldn't be more pleased!

A sales person called me back to set up an appointment - it was to be for the next day (Thursday) at 9:30am. The next day 9:30 came and went so at 11:00 I called the company to check on him. He called me back - saying he was at the airport whereas I am in Marlborough, nowhere near Bradley. We set up a time where he was to come at 1:30, which he did. He told me he would email me an estimate after checking suppliers. Friday came and went and finally at 1:00pm on Monday I called Douglas again to see where the estimate was. I was connected with the sales person who told me I'd have the estimate at 8:00am the next day - which I did. My experience was very annoying because at no time was I called to tell me he was running late. I value my time and don't appreciate having to wait on someone who is not going to show up. Then, he did not give me a time to expect the estimate .... but if he was having trouble getting figures from suppliers, I don't think I am unreasonable to expect a status update. The man was pretty irritable - as irritable as I was at the final point that we talked. He did not seem to think that updates were in order if he was not able to meet times agreed to with the customer. Earlier this year I had called Douglas for a repair to my garage door, where it had jumped off the track. At that time, they were super at managing their worker schedules and I had really appreciated the work they did. This latest episode was very disappointing.

As instructed I set aside a two hour block of time to wait for the service call. The technician called near the end of that block to say he was running late due to emergencies. He finally showed up an hour and a half later with a surly attitude. In the end, he gave me a break on the price and the work was done properly, including some additional work that was not scheduled

Very promptly contacted and installer arrived, only to point out that there was no outlet in proper code-mandated place. So we agreed that after my electrician installed the requisite outlet, installer would return. a week later, after my electrician did his work, I re-contacted Douglas and within 36 hours the installer arrived in the appointed time window and effected a professional installation. A very smooth and professional job was done.

Initial installation went great. After a few months, we called them back because the systems was making a lot of noise when opening and closing the garage door. They came back to make some adjustments. The technician gave some sort of explanation as to why I was not being charged for a service visit. But after a month or so, the same racketing noise came back. I have not called them back because I was told the next time I would be charged for a service visit.

The service was fast, reasonable, the door works fine. The only problem was that when we paid through Angie's they also charged us at the time of service (my father was here when they came, not me). So we paid twice. It took us over a month to get it all straightened out. Other than that, they were great.

Excellent installation.

Hired Douglas Garage Door to get my lower garage door panel replaced. I was quoted 2 hours of labor for the job that takes 30 minutes. After job completion I asked technician why should I pay 2 hours of labor when it took 30 minutes and technician asked me to contact the office. I contacted the business and before my concerns were addressed, they charged my credit card without my authorization for the entire balance. After couple of attempts they agreed to refund half of the money back but never actually credited back. I tried for almost a month and finally had to open a dispute with my credit card company. Luckily, I have written documentation so I am confident I'll get my money back. I found this business quite unethical and their goal is to extract as much money as they can. If you decide to hire them, my advice would be take written quotes, keep a close eye on actual labor time spent. These guys charge 105 bucks for service call and 30 minutes of labor is included in service call. Good luck hiring them.

I have used Douglas in the past for both installations and repairs, and was very happy with there service. I called them when my recently installed garage door broke and would no longer operate. They came out quickly , identified the problem and gave me a estimate to have it fixed the next day. The repair was done and surprisingly the bill was less that the estimate.

Very fast service. I called on Monday and they were here on Wednesday. They recommended I replace my old (nearly 15 years) system, and were back Friday morning to install it. I worked with AJ. He was very professional and helpful... and my new opener is quiet. I may replace the one in the second bay!

Douglas rep came out to see what was wrong with my opener. I figured I needed a new one but the rep fixed the old one in under 30 minutes. I was completely impressed with them from the moment I called until the rep left. He told me why it worked "odd" ... my mistake for not understanding all it does. Tuned up eye, etc and it works great now. Completely happy with service!

The door wouldn't open so they came out and repaired it. They did good and I was happy with their work.

They were excellent. I was very impressed by their work, what they did, and their professionalism. They were professional, they worked clean, they left no mess, and they did a great job. The price was very good. We had purchased the doors through Costco, and they came through them.

I'm sort of a handy guy and have put in some openers so I considered doing the installation myself. Wow, am I glad I didn't. The installer arrived promptly at 8 am and began the demolition. I'm not quite sure how I would have disposed of 500 lbs of wooden doors. Within the hour, two doors, two openers, all the track and the brackets to the ceiling were gone. Now the tricky part begins. I'm glad this guy had over 1000 installations under his belt. I have a low ceiling and a high car which makes it very important to make judicious use of every inch of overhead space. To make matters worse, there is an air duct right where one of the tracks wants to be. Fast forward 11 hours and the gentleman hands me the programed remotes. The doors look great, but much more important to me, unlike my wooden doors that leaked like a sieve, these doors are tight as a drum and the garage is noticeably warmer. Highly recommended. I appreciate a guy who take pride in his work and takes the time to do it right. A less experienced installer would have made a mess of this job.

I backed into the bottom section of my garage door. I called Douglas Garage Door Center to see about getting a repair estimate. The technician said he could look at it in two hours. He arrived early, looked at the door and repaired it on the spot free of charge. I was impressed by his punctuality, honesty, and overall kind attitude. I will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to my friends.

I called him and mentioned the problems that I had, and he came and looked at everything, he also changed the chains, but it stopped working again, so I stopped using the door. I stopped using the garage door a month after he worked on it.

Workmen left a mess and took the old opener when I asked them to leave it. Then they refused to return it when I asked for it less than an hour after they made their escape, saying it had already been sold for scrap. Never set up the remote, and did such an unprofessional job I'd never call them again.

I called Douglas Garage Door and the set up an appointment. I was given a two-hour window and A.J. from Douglas showed up right at the beginning of the window. He quickly identified the problem and fixed within the hour and was very nice to talk to. He gave me some good maintenance tips and my garage door was fixed as good as new. I highly recommend Douglas for any garage door repairs.

Came out same day and put in temporary fix so door would work, ordered new spring and replaced a few days later. Very responsive, professional and reasonably priced. Very upfront about how much they charge and came in within quoted range.
