Description of Work: Chris built a wood mantle from a photo my wife gave him. We are very pleased with the quality of the job. We needed a mantle I looked extensively at rental and could not find anyone i really liked nor could i find anyone with imagination in our area outside of decorative magazines. That is where I found a great mantel from a magazine Chris was able to take this tear sheet and duplicate it FANTASTIC I have my mantle. And not to mention the ones at retail that I felt I would be forced to settle with where more expensive. Chris made the mantel in. His shop so there was no mess in my living room,Regardless Chris is very neat a big big plus in my house. I don't have to present him with surgical booties as I do most contractors or workmen . Chris and his workers take their shoes off at the door.. All in all I was very happy with this project

Description of Work: Rob and Chris painted our 5x8 bathroom for us. The bathroom is very old and we have recently updated all of the fixtures and flooring. The paint job was the last to be done and was rather involved. We needed the ceiling scraped and patched and several places on our plaster walls also needed to patched and sanded. When all was said and done they painted all of the trim, the bead board, and the door; as well as, scraping/sanding, patching, and painting the walls and the ceiling. They were consummate professionals and the finished result is absolutely gorgeous! We couldn't be more pleased! Chris fielded all of our questions with patience, right down to exactly how much of each color paint we would need. Rob made sure we knew exactly how long the paint would take to cure and how much moisture, etc., the room should have in the first 24 hours after the job was complete. Rob made sure the bathroom was spotless when he left. There was no indication, other than the beautiful paint job, that any work had been done in that room. We would HIGHLY recommend Clean Cut Painting and we will definitely use them again in the future!!

+ 1 moreVery prompt estimate. Work started the following week. After all the paint dried, all the textures and colors matched existing textures and paint very well. The work took two days. Chris cleaned up after each day. I am very happy with the work done and the people who did it. I will use Clean Cut Painting again.
Description of Work: I had water damaged ceiling and wall. Chris replace the damaged drywall, taped, resprayed the ceiling patch with sand texture and matched and repainted the repaired wall. They also resealed the tile grout in the tub area.

+ 1 moreWe had already talked and got an estimate done. He gave an estimate the first time, and then I added a few things, and he gave a second estimate. When he called me at work, he said that he wasn't sure when I wanted to have the work done, but I had already told him that I wanted to make sure I had everything finalized before the third week in June. He seemed like a very nice person. I had called him back by the third week to be able to do the job. So, when he called me last week to say that he now had two new customers, that was very disappointing.
Description of Work: I’m trying to get his price down. I was about to make a decision about whether to go with him. He called my place of employment and he said that he had to push back my appointment for a couple of months to complete other projects. He didn’t have these other projects when I talked to him. He told me there was only one other customer ahead of him.

+ 0 moreChris was here 3 days and on time every day. He worked continually - if he took a break I didn't see it, tho I did make him stop & have lunch. The tile backsplash is beautiful and perfectly done. Tho I probably drove him nuts when after applying grout to 1/5 of the wall, I wanted to change the color of the grout. He did so cheerfully! Chris is the ultimate professional and can do anything - and he is meticulous - vacuums up every day, leaving the place spotless and is extremely considerate of your posessions.I just can't say enough good things. He is a gem and I'm so glad I found him.
Description of Work: Chris installed backsplash tile, replaced broken tile on hearth, replaced weather stripping on front door, replaced latticework on 10' fence, replaced electrical switches in kitchen, repaired front door screen and made a dump run.

+ 0 moreI was extremely pleased. They arrived ontime. They were extremely careful as I have 2 cats that can't go out. They finished the work in only a few days. When I discovered what I thought was a paint spot on the carpet, Chris came back within days of my call and cleaned up what was drywall paste residue. The job they did was beautiful and I would hire them again and I would recommend them to all my friends.
Description of Work: I had this company come in and paint the ceilings in my kitchen, dining, living, hallway and foyer. In addition they painted the foyer and as a last minute request painted the kitchen.

+ 1 moreWe were impressed by Chris the moment we met him. Clean Cut not only applies to the quality of the paint job, it describes Chris to a T. He arrived punctually for his appointmentt to develop a quote, and promptly submitted via email a detailed quote for doing the work. His quote was the most complete and the lowest of all the quotes we received. He billed us at a very reasonable hourly rate for the work. We provided the materials (flooring, vanities, sinks, granite tops, etc.). Chris was punctual throughout t the job and he and his coworker worked steadily while on the job. Their work is top notch. We also received a quote for Chris to paint the exterior of our house. He and Mike will be back in a couple of weeks to begin that job. I will submit another review when he completes that job. We have worked with other painting and remodeling contractors int he past. Clean Cut Painting ranks at the very top of the list!
Description of Work: Chris and his coworker Mike repaired and painted the walls and ceilings on two full floors in our house, which included popcorn ceilings and white woodwork throughout. His quote included the replacement of three old bifold closet doors. We were so impressed with the quality of his work and his professional manner that we also hired Chris to help us remodel two bathrooms. He removed 2 old vanities, replaced old vinyl floors with new bamboo boards, and installed new vanities, including granite tops and sinks. This required removing the baseboard and adding quarter round molding after reinstalling them. . All we did was priovide the materials for the extra jobs.

T hey broke for lunch each day at approximately the same time...finished lunch and right back to work. At the end of each day they cleaned up thoroughly. Including vacuuming..and left our home as clean as when they entered in the morning. As far as the actual painting goes...it looks great. There were no mistakes or accidents. From prepping the surfaces to repairing small holes and sanding....these guys were great. The owner..Chris Soule..was also nice enough to clean our large hanging light fixture as well as our large foyer window...for no charge. The truth is there really wasn't anything they did wrong. From estimate to completed job...they nailed it. Chris and his helper Mike were terrific. They both had great senses of humor and were a pleasure to have in our home. We've already told Chris he's our guy for all our projects. Simply put....we highly recommend Clean Cut Painting to anybody looking for home improvement pros you can count on and trust.

+ -1 moreI hired Chris over the summer to paint the back porch. At that time I got a number of estimates. The companies that I chose were all As on Angie's List. They turned out to be too high, way too high, extremely arrogant, did not respond at all or didn't seem qualified. Chris was just right. He provides a detailed estimate. He is punctual. He is very professional and his work and customer service are excellent. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Clean Cut painted the cabinets in two bathrooms and changed the hardware. They prepped the cabinets with two coats and then painted them.

Description of Work: The services provided by Clean Cut Painting included the following: Removal and installation of a kitchen fan/light fixture. Cleaning the gutters, removal of heavy objects that I the homeowner could not lift. Installation of stainless steel chimney caps and sealing two vents on the roof to insure that there would not be any leaks this winter.

+ 0 moreI got a detailed estimate and also a possible start date. After I settled on Clean Cut, Chris moved the start date up which was great. He gave me an am start time and was willing to accommodate my schedule. He arrived on time. The next day he let me know he would be a few minutes late. He was very responsible and completed the project in 3 days. The porch looks great. I can't see any drips at all.
Description of Work: Chris painted the stairs and back deck which runs the length of the house. He also repaired a number of woodpecker holes in the front of the house and then stained the patches.

+ 1 moreChris came referred after he had cleaned snow off the roofs of acquaintences. Yes, he does that, too. More money had been offered to him but he refused. He would only take "what is fair". That's why I hired him. He painted my entire kitchen over 4 days. Absolutely wonderful! No drips, very clean, neat job, and he always cleaned up at the end of his day. He wouldn't even use one of my coffee cups for the coffee I left him because "I didn't want to dirty any of your dishes." Very considerate guy. Young with an exceptional work ethic. Listens to what you want. His job was great. I will definitely use him again, soon, for my counter tops!
Description of Work: My kitchen was a mess and old and in need of a face lift. Chris did a full painting of walls, trim, and cabinets.
