 + 3 moreThe process went very, very well. They communicated very well. It was easy to get them on the phone, and email. They were professional, usually wearing a "Rockfall/PALS" shirt, jacket or something. NEVER in dirty ratty clothes, not even the workers. They worked quickly, professionally. They were aware of the needs of a handicap customer and worked around those needs. They cleaned up every day. There was never a pile of junk/trash left at the end of the day, not even a dumpster. Contract dates are often vague guidelines for contractors, Rockfall met every one of them. The most important was the finish date and they were done as promised. Because of the professionalism, communication and accommodation I felt very comfortable with the whole process. I would 100% recommend Rockfall, especially for those who need an ADA compliant solution.
Description of Work: We hired Rockfall/PALSBuilt to add on to my parents home. Rockfall provided a modular built addition which consisted of an ADA compliant bathroom and a large living room and a small deck. The project also included miscellaneous updates and changes in the original home. They provided all the services related to this project from design, site work, permits, crane, electrical, plumbing, you name it, everything. Rockfall/PALS truely gets the handicap customer and that along with the price convinced us to work with them. As an example, we didn't have to ask about blocking in the bathroom for handrails, the whole bathroom has plywood behind the sheet-rock so you can add a grab bar anywhere in the future. They didn't just slap in grab bars but talked with my dad about how he would best like the position of the toilet and grab bar for his strengths. A truly custom approach. We talked with other companies who all could make something that was ADA compliant, Rockfall already knows how. We first talked in August 2012, they did the minor changes in the house in October, started the foundation work for the modular addition in November and had the unit was set and finished as promised right before by Christmas.

Description of Work: I first met with Palsbuilt.com. In my area Palsbuilt.com construction is backed and preformed by Rockfall Construction Co.LLC home based in Meridan CT. After some extensive research with other construction people, I signed a contract with Palsbuilt to stick build an addition to my 200 plus year old house. My house really didn't lend its-self for an add on modular. I will add that working on a house this old is far from a cake walk. For starters nothing is level and nothing is on center, I'll leave it at that. Every trades person working at my addition was polite, caring, and quite receptive to any ideas I had, most importantly did their job above and beyond the call of duty. The attention to detail was quite impressive even down to the smallest thing one may not think important. I was able to speak with each trades person, electricion, plumber, carpenters. The job forman Danny was so caring about everything he did. At no time was there ever a breakdown of communication. The Rockfall Const. Co. home office is warm and quite modest. I found one of the owners was on my job site more often than not. I would have this company and their trades people back in a heartbeat. There were no cost over runs and they finished on time. By now you could be wondering why I did this addition. In Aug 2012 my 31 year old son had to have a high risk operation due to Marfans Syndrone. The risk was to be left paralyzed, to the degree they didn't know, he is now non functional from the lower chest down to his toes. This addition built to the ADA spec's will allow him to come home..........Dad & Mom
