My grandmother contact John to have thermostat fixed as it was “locked” due to her messing with the unit. Faceplate was taken off and wires disconnected to hopefully reset it. Apparently this did not work as the faceplate never lit up again after. Ultimately, after about an hour visit my grandmother was left with a thermostat in worse shape than before & that now did not even light up anymore, a bill for $275 ,and told to call the thermostat manufacturer.

Description of Work: Mr. LaBossiere serviced our generator in August, as he usually does. In December, he installed outside lighting for an ice rink we purchased as a Christmas gift. It was a last minute decision, but Mr. LaBossiere took the time on Christmas Eve to make the gift an even more wonderful surprise for our children! Truly appreciate LaBossiere Electric!

The original request also included cutting in junction boxes for a surround sound system that the builder's electrician never saw clear to provide, such as there were simply loose speaker wire hanging out of the living room wall in 4 locations. The seller/buyer agent, who never saw herself clear to have the builder use junctions boxes to terminate the remote ends of the speaker cable, offered to have their electrician cut in the junction boxes as a house warming. That never happened either. The original estimate was for over $2800. I thought $2800 was ridiculous for what I wanted and had to include a PITA surcharge. Consequently what I figured most contributed to the PITA surcharge and what I could most live without was the cut in surround sound speaker junction boxes. Jon did the work while I, also, was at work. The price was reduced to $2500. When I returned home my wife said he was here only two hours. The wire used for the station ground (bear in mind this would have to carry any stray lightning to earth, was about the thickness of a pencil lead. I've used ground wire that was more like 1/4 to 3/8's inch and really be more like 1/2and quot; or better yet, copper braid. The hole, which I doubt he even touched for the access to junction box in the wall from the basement was not wide enough to pass an RG-8 coax, Consequently some else will likely have to redo that work anyway. In all Jon spent 2 hours here for an hourly rate of $1,250. Corporate executive consultants don't earn that per hour. Perhaps doing the whole house surge protector was incredibly dangerous to install but I am pretty sure that is why there is a main switch on the service panel. The surge protector itself is about 4and quot;x4and quot;x3and quot;. I am baffled by how that constituted $2500. However, in looking more closely at the other reviews I suspect he is the most expensive electrician in the greater New England area. On the plus side I'll give Jon good grades for professionalism, demeanor, and friendliness. He seemed to know what he was talking about.
Description of Work: Added a whole house surge protector to the service panel cut in a junction box into a non loadbearing existing wall. put in an earth ground for a radio transmitter to said junction box. This involved routing the ground through the sill plate to a ground rod outside.

John was extremely professional, answered calls and answered any questions we had. He took care of getting the permits, interacting with the building inspector and the electric company. He handled everything. Would definitely use him again in the future for any needs we may have. Highly recommended and very personable!

John contacted us immediately and followed up the next day after our call. He showed up and completed the work within two days of our call. He was excellent, honest and I would hire him again for other electrical work.
Description of Work: John, ran an electrical line from our garage up to the second floor and into a kitchen counter for a new dish washer. The old dish washer electrical did not meet code and we paid for Lowes to install a new one. We needed to bring the electrical up to code before they would install. John, gave us options including returning the new washer for a portable unit to save money and have not need for his services. We opted for his service.

From the very first call, John was very responsive. He was available to view the work within 48 hours. He gave us a ballpark estimate within 24 hours and a detailed quotation shortly following. He was available to start when he said he was going to, stuck to the pricing and the schedule he had outlined. The work was done well.
Description of Work: John added a new subpanel and completely wired a studio building. He also added ceiling lamps to three roons.

We called Labossiere Electric on a Wednesday evening around 8:00 PM. We had an emergency with our home that was causing most of our lights to dim, and most appliances were completely off. The owner of the company (John) answered the call and was on site in under 30 minutes. Upon arriving, he noticed some severe damage in our main electrical panel due to water penetration. There was a serious safety concern, so we immediately turned off the power to the house. John provided us with an overall summary that we could understand, and made sure that we had a safe place to take our family until the power could be restored. John and his team came out the very next day, and had power restored to our entire house by the time we returned home at 5:00 PM. He was very professional and kind throughout the whole process. Our home owner's insurance covered all of the damages, and Labossiere Electric provided all of the required documentation to our insurance company's assigned adjuster. He was thorough, neat, and extremely pleasant to deal with. Without a doubt, THIS IS THE ELECTRICIAN YOU SHOULD CALL! Labossiere Electric has earned my business for life. :)
Description of Work: Installed a new 200 amp service drop on exterior of our home, and provided a new meter socket as well. Pulled a new cable down into basement and mounted a new 40 circuit panel with a main breaker to replace our existing panel that was damaged. Installed all branch circuits back into panel and placed on new breakers within panel board. Drove ground rod to bond (ground) system, and coordinated power to be reconnected and inspected by Town.

After signing the contract, I was contacted by the company to make arrangements for delivery of the generator. They came promptly on the scheduled installation date and all went very well!!! The owner coordinated all the permitting, inspections and gas contractor required for installation of the generator. The generator was exercised by LaBossiere Electric demonstrating its operation and performance to my husband and myself. This was a considerable investment for us, but we feel we hired an excellent contractor for the job upon reviews of LaBossiere Electric and internet search including the company's website. Excellent experience and we highly recommend LaBossiere Electric.
Description of Work: I requested a quote from LaBossiere Electric for the installation of a home stand by generator and a representative came to our home the next day. Within three days, a generator and transfer switch were installed and up and running!!! The representative also made all arrangements for the gas hook up! I was very pleased with the promptness and cleanliness. A stand by house gerenator was successfully installed by LaBossiere Electric.

They were very fast to respond and the work done was excellent. Very honest about what needed to be done and did not try to sell us for something that wasn't necessary. I would definitely use them again.
