Description of Work: Got a very quick response to my request for an estimate. Stopped by the next day to look at the job then emailed me an estimate later that day. I accepted the very reasonable quote and we scheduled it for 2 days later. Very happy with the job - Rob is very nice and easy to work with. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician.

No issues at all! Rob was there on time and the work was completed within an hour, all neatly cleaned up and it looks great. We supplied the new fan and after doing a substantial workup, he explained that there might be a need to expand the opening and do some adjustments to the fixtures. That was okay by us but fortunately the fan fit without alot of effort. We have MANY more electrical needs and Rob will be our first call!

cannot say enough good things, rob called so promptly during a very busy time (major storm damage throughout our area) and promptly came to our home to assess - same day. After getting price (we felt very fair, especially given situation), we gave him ok to do the job, and he did so flawlessly next day, enabling Eversource reestablish power connection days later. Because of Rob, we were ready customers! Extremely satisfied and would hire again for sure,

Outstanding. I dont live at the unit and needed to coordinate the time between Robin Brundage and a tenant. He arrived on time and shipped the package as discussed. The lighting fixture arrived as expected and was packaged beautifully - so that no items were broken. I would absolutely use again

Rob was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I found him through Angie's list, reached out to him and he responded to me right away. He was professional from start to finish, very reasonable in terms of pricing, and was very professional and efficient in the work he performed. I would highly recommend him to anyone who asks for a referral, and look forward to continuing to work with Rob in the future.

He is very responsive, always came when he said he would come, worked around my schedule, very pleasant to work with. I think his service is perfectly fine, I can't think of any room for improvement. The price seemed a little high to me, but I did go online, and it seemed to be relatively average.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Rob, and speak his praises to any local friends we have. We spent the entire summer doing renovations, and Rob was incredibly flexible, friendly, efficient, and patient throughout that entire process. Ours is a very old house, and the work done by previous owners seems to have been spotty at best. Rob understood that we wouldn't be able to tackle all of the issues at once, and helped us prioritize projects based on what posed the greatest safety concerns, cost, and what would be best to bundle and work on together (to avoid repeatedly gutting the walls). Rob was always easy fast to respond by phone or e-mail, and was very flexible in working with our schedules. He is quite personable, and always provided thorough, courteous responses to my seemingly endless questions. Rob definitely spoiled us from ever working with another electrician - I can't recommend him enough!
Description of Work: We will be working on electrical issues in this old house until the end of time, but here are the projects Rob has helped us with so far: removing old knob & tube wiring from attic and rewiring second floor, wiring and setting fixtures for bathroom remodel, upgrading outlet for high-amp air-conditioner, replacing a ceiling light/fan, and provided help assessing any remaining electrical issues which can be tackled over the next few years.

Did not hire - his estimate was way out of line with others.
Description of Work: Came to give an estimate within 2 hours of my request. He called 2 days later with his numbers - a separate quote for each light fixture replacement (6 in total - I supplied the fixtures) In total his estimate came to over $1,300. I hired another Angieslist electrician who did the entire job in about an hour for less than $250.

Response from Robin Brundage Electrical
If you look hard enough, you can find a company that is maybe just starting and is willing to take a big hit on a job just to get a customer. In the future they will increase prices from their initial teaser rate. Larger companies, if you catch them at the right time will send a guy to work for next to nothing just to keep him busy. We are a smaller sized company so we can't take a thousand dollar hit. I've been in the field for over forty years, if somebody did that job in 1 hour please record him because we both know that was more than just hanging 6 lights.

Rob and his son saved the day! We were in the middle of a construction project, opening the wall between the kitchen and dining room, and our carpenter noted that the existing wiring was too short to move the wall switch and an outlet to appropriate levels. Not wanting to have junction box plates on the walls, we decided to call an electrician to rewire. We went on to Angie's List and located several local electricians, but Rob was the one who answered the phone and just happened to be in the office that day. He dropped what he was doing and came right over, and his son was able to pick up what was needed and come by quickly as well. They were both professional and friendly, and had a simpler solution that saved us time and money. Our job was able to continue on without a hitch! We are very impressed and thankful for Rob's willingness to help us out at the last minute and for doing it at a very fair price. We will definitely be calling Robin Brundage for future projects and highly recommend his work.

I had an urgent situation and Robin was there for me. I woke up with half of my house having low or no power. When the electric utility company showed up and removed the meter from my meter box, they found a broken lead connection. So now I had no power, and they could not reconnect me until I got an electrician to repair or replace the box. Since the house is 35 years old and boxes have changed, there was no guarantee it could just be repaired. After calling several places and only able to leave a message, Robin Brundage Electric had a contact number for Robin. He talked to me, understood the situation, went to his office to find what possible parts could fix my problem, and came right over. He was able to repair my existing box well before the utility came back to restore power to my leads. Besides being very responsive, I found him easy to talk to. He explained and showed my the work he did, and was very professional.

Robin arrived for the appt, but after meeting with a few other electricians, he clearly was the most apprehensive about the job because it required opening up the ceiling and running wires through walls and joists. Over two weeks later, Robin called with the estimate. He did acknowledge that it was late as he joked, ‘you probably don’t remember me.’ I actually interpreted his lack of response during those 2 weeks as his not really wanting the job since he seemed a bit overwhelmed by it on the day of the appointment. As he was relaying his estimate to me, he was reviewing his notes at the same time and changed his estimate as we talked and seemed a little confused at times. His estimate was the highest out of all of the electricians I interviewed. But, I never toss out the highest estimate based on price alone. More times than not, the expression ‘you get what you pay for’ holds true. In this case, however, Robin didn’t appear totally confident about the job and he took 2 weeks to get back to me with an estimate. In addition, he had left a 16” piece of track light to show my husband in case he was interested in having track lighting installed in the home. Personally, I find track lighting to be outdated, but Robin insisted that I hold on to it and see if it’s something we’d want to use in one of our rooms. He said we could hide the wire that would be plugged into an outlet with a piece of plastic channel that runs down the wall. That’s really DIY to me. I hire an electrician so they can hide the wires in the walls and ceilings, not behind a piece of plastic. As we were getting close to Christmas, the project of having new light fixtures installed fell by the wayside. We had not yet chosen an electrician, but we had our estimates and decided it best to wait until after the new year to begin. Right before Christmas, Robin left me a voicemail saying that ‘obviously we didn’t hire him’ since he hasn’t heard from us and he would like us to return the piece of track light. I called Robin back and told him that we had not, in fact, hired anyone to do the job as we were putting the project on a hold to which he sounded relieved. But, at the same time, he asked me if I would drive the track light to his home. I told him that it would be difficult since my husband and I both work and Christmas is upon us and we have family coming, etc., etc., but he was insistent that I drop it off and I told him that I would try my best to get it to him the weekend before Christmas. That was a mistake on my part. The weekend before Christmas was much more hectic than I thought it would be since my father who was visiting from out of town had taken very ill and I just could not get to Robin’s house. A few days after Christmas, I got another voicemail from Robin asking why I didn’t deliver the track light to his house over the weekend and if I would please drop it off at my earliest convenience. Again, I called Robin back and I explained what had been going on at my household and told him that he is more than welcome to stop by and pick it up at anytime. What I found rather rude was that at the same time Robin was trying to convince me that his home was only “1/2 mile away” (which it is not), when he did ask if there was a place I could leave it at my home where it would be safe (I told him it would fit just fine and be safe in between our storm door and front door) he didn’t like that idea. He said that he really never has reason to go by my home and if I would just drop it off at his house. To put an end to this nonsense, after I got home from work that night, I got back in the car and drove to his home and left it at his home following his very specific instructions on where to place it. The whole thing was just very odd. Clearly, he was annoyed at not getting the job. I guess he left the track light assuming he was going to get the job and thinking he would pick it up on the day he starts working. On the day of the appt, he never told me that,’ if you don’t hire me, it’s your responsibility to return this track light to my house.’ I just thought that he would pick it up either way. When I first called him to schedule the appt, he made a comment about how close he lived to our house, but then when it came to coming back out to pick up his track light, apparently we were just too out-of-the way for him. My message to Robin is if you choose to leave something with a potential client that you want back, it is really your responsibility to make arrangements to pick it up. Or, at least tell the potential client that if they don’t hire you, it’s up to them to deliver it back to your house. Of course, that’s not going to make a great first impression, but at least it’s being honest. I would not recommend Robin Brundage based on price, potential quality of work, but most important, lack of professionalism.

After researching the problem for about 1 and half hours, they said that they had to run another cable to the switch, which they did. They also through that there was a junction box somewhere in the wall that had a loose wire and would have to open up some walls to find it.. After almost 3 hours I wasn't going to have that done. Who knows how long that would of taken and what the end price would be. This motion detector also was controlled by another switch upstairs, which they took apart. It also had a second switch next to it, for backyard outside lights, which was working before they came. Now it doesn't work. I don't think that it should of taken 3 hours to fix. He did take an hour off the bill, but it was still $300. There also was a 10% coupon on Angie's site that I asked about, but he said that he allready gave me a brake. I'm also disappointed with Angie's List. I could of done this on my own and had the same outcome. Angie's List was no help at all. Why am I paying for a service that was no help at all.
