I was amazed at how smoothly this went. Richie responded quickly, followed through and came by to check his crew's work and cleanup. The crew lead was great too. He asked if I had any questions before the work started and kept checking in with me if I had any questions during the work. I was especially concerned about the rain while the work was in progress, but Richie assured me they would not remove any shingles they could not replace the same day, and he kept that commitment. I highly recommend this company.

I called Richie when I first paid for the service but also said I had some other work I'd like done (at the time I paid Angie's list the $99.00 up front) and he said he was busy and would call me back in a couple of weeks. I then called Angie's List when he didn't call back and they said I really needed to call Richie so I called again. Again he said he was busy. So, since I had already called Angie's List I had a difficult time being pushy- so, I called Richie again and asked if the money could just be applied towards our side roof (this was after a while like a year (to which he replied he was again busy but yes he'd do the work but was busy in North Stamford and would get back to me). After not hearing from him for a couple of months and speaking to my brother who works for a landscape company in Fairfield County (my brother said this was crazy and I needed to report the man!) I called again and said I wanted just what i paid for done and he asked if anyone would be home that Thursday and I said yes- well no surprise he never showed up. The only way this was resolved was Angie's List refunding my money. Because Angie's List had paid him after I paid them it was the only way for me to avoid reporting both the contractor and Angie's List to The State of Connecticut's Contractor reporting site.

Dealing with a leaking roof around the chimney can be very difficult to troubleshoot. I’ve learned that there are many different factors that can contribute to a leak in this area. It was very frustrating throughout the process trying to identify the leak and get it corrected, but overall I am satisfied that Rich was able to work with me to address both flashing issues and the chimney itself.

We met with Richard in July, reviewed the GAF Shingle options, and ultimately contracted to have our entire roof replaced in August (written contract to finish BEFORE Labor Day). Due to unusual late-Summer inclement weather, as well as the aftermath of the hurricanes down South, unbeknownst to me Richard and his crew contracted to help repair a # of roofs damaged in these storms (covered by Insurance.) Long story short, I followed up with Richard a number of times in later July and early August to confirm we were still on-schedule, and it usually took 3-4 days to hear something back on email or v-mail. So on timely follow-up, I rated Richard as "fair". That shared, I can't say enough about how professional Richard, Marcos (his crew chief) and their entire team was once the job was formally scheduled and started. They arrived promptly every day @ 7:00 a.m. (we gave our neighbors a heads up they'd be hearing some mild early morning noise), set up quickly and got to work! They took great pains to set a tarp system in place off the roof edge(s) so all debris coming off would fall onto our lawn--not our shrubs, rear deck, driveway or sidewalk. Every evening, they used a magnetic roller to ensure nails were picked up off our property and driveway, and they cleaned up the work site with all debris placed in their dumpster trailer, and put all ladders on the far side of the driveway, with all work tools and supplies covered. Aside from being prompt, organized and pleasant--the most important part is the finished product--and we couldn't be happier!!! Richie's Roofing used GAF Timberline shingles, and since we also spec'd other GAF accessories (i.e Tiger-Paw Synthetic Roofing felt, GAF Ice & water roof liner, Ridge vents, etc.) the new GAF roof is now warranted for 30+ years (some elements have a Limited Lifetime warranty). They also replaced the old flashing around our two (2) Chimney's with new Copper flashing, and it really looks great. In summary, though I wish the early communications had been a little more timely and frequent, our finished roof looks fantastic--and we heartily recommend Richie's Roofing to anyone in the area that is looking for quality roof repair or replacement at a fair price.

Richie was fantastic - quick, prompt, very easy to work with, no surprises, no trying to up-sell, great price, great crew, who also took time to explain a few things to me when I asked questions. I would not hesitate to recommend Richie's Roofing to anyone.

We needed a quote for a roof for our insurance. Rich was great, and he noted where we needed a new skylight (which was accurate), which another had not. He provided a detailed quote that broke-out everything (including the skylight).

Richie did a great job at a great price. He was responsive to any calls or texts. His crew started early and worked late to complete the job. They were very professional and I would recommend them without hesitation.

I emailed Richie about a leak I was experiencing and he emailed back right away and set up a time to come over and see it the very next day. I couldn't believe the response time and speed. He promptly sent me an agreement and within a week the whole job was done. It was a pleasure working with Richie and his crew and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for window or roofing repair or replacement.

Richie's Roofing LLC did a great job on my roof replacement and they have the best prices around. Job was done quickly and very professionally. My roof looks great now and especially I like how that copper chimney flashing looks.

Fantastic, professional, easy setting up appointment

The job went well. Richie was very responsive. We agreed on a date, and our roof starting leaking again in the meantime. He came out and put a patch and tarp over it at no additional expense due to the time between agreeing to the work and them being able to schedule our house. The job was done over a couple days, including finishing after dark a couple nights in the freezing cold. He even took the time to change his approach to a particularly flat area of our roof, went and got different materials, and installed them so that the job will last longer. The only area of improvement is that they could have cleaned up better. However, after I called they came back out and improved it. Still not perfect but really not a big deal. So far the roof seems to be installed correctly and we have had some weather but the old leaks are gone. The house looks a lot better without the stains and green moss on top!

Rich and his crew were fabulous. My neighbors were also very pleased with their work! I received 8 quotes ranging from $5,000 to $11,000. Richie's was the most complete and one of the lowest -several of the others offered the same services Richie's offered but +$300 for this, +$750 for that. He was honest (very important for a single woman homeowner!!!), professional and considerate. Richie's crew cleaned up well and were considerate of my things that were around my yard. The roof, the new flashing on my chimney and the trim(?) on the sides of the house just under the roof were all replaced and really improve the look of my house! I did see some of the other reviews when I chose to call for a quote and I understand that scheduling may not be Richie's strongest quality but have a little patience and you will be very happy with their work! I will recommend them a thousand times over! Thank you guys!!!!

We signed a contract in May. Our contract had no date but Richie said he would plan to do our roof in July. When July came, Richie said he would be delayed by a month due to a botched construction job. In August, he said September. In September he said late September, then early October, then mid October. Then he had a new baby so late October. Then his wife became ill and he could no longer promise any date soon. I decided to end the no-date contract and go with another company from our original May estimates.

Ladder to roof - Worked on gutters front and back for total of approx. 5 minutes with a leaf blower Said the gutters were fairly clear of debris. Was done in Fall of 2016.

He immediately found it, hammered in the loose nails and covered the nails with roofing patch.

Rich was punctual, professional and polite. Also, reasonable. I would give him an unconditional reference.

It went very well, Good experience, would hire again.

The first appt. was cancelled due to employee car accident. Owner came on the second appt alone to clean all the gutters which I discovered had not been fully cleaned. Also, some of my white siding was not cleaned off from the dirt from the cleaning.

Alleged a wasp nest in one of the gutters, stopped work and said would come back later .. never came back or responded to phone calls. I did not see any wasp nest when I finally did the cleaning myself.

The gutters are clean, they cleaned up everything that landed on patios/pathways. However * There was small print I didn't realize, surcharge for a two storey home. Most homes here are two storey, price should be for the common house, not the exception. Minor irritation. Price for the majority, not the minority. * The coupon let me choose dates, the provider didn't schedule me for weeks ( months? can't remember ) afterwards - medium irritation, not sure I would have bought if I had known the dates didn't mean anything. * Since the service date was so far in the future, we had forgotten they were coming, so my wife left the house. She came home to find our dogs LOOSE IN THE FRONT UNFENCED YARD. We were extremely lucky to not have a missing dog. * If you arrive at a house with closed gates, and you see dogs - YOU SHOULD PUT THE DOGS IN THE BACKYARD AND CLOSE THE GATE * I stated in the comments section when I bought the deal that I HAVE A DOG DOOR AND TO PLEASE KEEP THE GATES CLOSED. * My wife arrived home and corralled the dogs inside, then went back to work. She locked the dogs indoors since they couldn't keep the gate closed - but I arrived home from work hours after they left and the GATES WERE LEFT OPEN - has this company never worked at a house with animals before? 50% of US households have a dog Losing a dog is not worth clean gutters. So although they may clean gutters well, they cannot exercise common sense, cannot follow instruction ( was it relayed to the workers? Probably not ... but even still, common sense), have dodgy small print, and ignore the dates selected when buying the deal. I will not use this company again.

Great - rapid, affordable, solid work

It went well. The roof was inspected, and small things were fixed. I was told that the roof can last for another 10 years at least, and may want to ask for an inspection in another 5 to 6 years.
