Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning

Unfortunately, the worst!!! Do not do business with Ned Stevens. I had told the workers to cancel coming to my property at two different occasions. I left a message cancelling, which of course they did not have a record of it. Originally, I was told they would come out in late fall and then in May-June. They came out on December 22nd, 2022, which I was not home. This was not in late fall or May-June as they said on the recording. If I was home I would of chased them away again. I did not receive an email that they were coming out, but I did receive an email that I was being charged. I am fighting the charge. They are very sneaky. I will continue to give them bad reviews. Also, they too left my gate open like the previous complainer. Worst ever!

I was an customer until last year when I removed the tree on my property. The came out in the spring and before I could get outside to talk to the men, they were gone. Couldn't have been here more than 10 minutes (because there is no tree to produce debris in the gutters. I reached out to them about discontinuing the service, but lo and behold they arrived on Thanksgiving day to clean my gutters (that had no debris), and charged me again. They claim that they were here, visually inspected and ran water through my gutters (my water has been turned off for a month). I would not do business with them again for their unprofessional practices.

BEWARE THE BATE AND SWITCH CON. This company insisted on giving me a gutter installation bid proposal by phone rather that come out an view the job. I turned down another bid, accepted their bid and gave them a 50% deposit. They emailed a written proposal setting out our agreed terms. The day they showed up to do the job I received a call from their office saying they had misjudged the job and now wanted to charge me over $500 more than the bid.

Contacted Ned Stevens to inquire gutter cleaning. They pride themself to be the best in the area. We agreed upon a price. Couple weeks later, they showed up and informed me that my house was too big and they don’t have a long enough ladder to clean the gutters. I don’t understand, your company specializes gutter cleaning. It baffles me that your company doesn’t have the proper equipment like a long ladder to do the work. I honestly think they saw the house and decided it wasn’t worth cleaning so they made up an excuse. I am disappointed with them. They wasted my time. I could have hired someone else. I would not recommend hiring them If you have a big house. Save the trouble and hire a professional.

Amazing- highly professional workers and very nice. They were patient when I asked them questions during their work time. They came on time. The gutters look good and work well. Worth every penny. Highly recommended.

To begin with the service was sub-par. Gutters did not drain. The most offensive thing about this company is they use large call houses to funnel business calls. I was hounded by them to allow another gutter cleaning service. Told them no. Today they showed up at the house claimed there was a recorded phone conversation of my authorization and by the time we told them to cease and desist they claimed it was done. I then got a phone call and was told we would be put into collection for the service which we did not authorize. Stay away from this company.

Excellent. They used leaf blowers to remove the leaves from the gutters. Then they cleaned up the leaves on the ground that came from the gutters.

Also requested a quote for a small portion of gutter to be repaired. The quote was so high that for a few hundred more I had the entire house redone for leaders and gutters. They are overpriced and very sloppy work for gutter cleaning

2 Months ago I had the their team come to my house, when I initially contacted them, I told them I had gutter guards and that they would need to remove some of them to perform a thorough cleaning, the agent said that they would be able to do the job. As it turns out, they did not clean my gutters to my satisfaction and as I expected and I had to do the 1st floor myself, by removing some of the gutter guards and removing some debris that had accumulated and that could not be removed by hosing them off alone. I was also contacted that I need new gutters at close to $2000 just for the 2nd floor alone. I would not use them again as they have failed to respond to my complaint about their poor performance and they are just trying to make a buck off of their customers ignorance.

Fine but I was told they'd come between Dec 8 and Dec 14. They didn't show up until Mid January.

We had a contract with Ned Stevens for the last six years to clean our gutters in the fall. The first few years we were satisfied with their services, despite the high pressure sales pitch of signing a contract for all four seasons. Since we have no trees around our house, once a year was sufficient, but the sales pitch continued. Albeit, they came out each fall, until the last three years where the crew did not make it out until the end of November into December, and those visits had to be promoted by repeated phone calls. This year, we made the first phone call the third week of November, assurances were made they would come out asap. Then, a week went by, no service, another phone call, another empty promise. When called last week we even decided to pay in advance of the service, yet, still no service. Today was the last straw, after almost four weeks, and temperatures now below freezing, the conversation is "we can't control the weather." Needless to say, this resulted in a cancelled contract. And, the kicker was from the agent, if we can assure you we will get out this week, will you reconsider? Answer: not worth the aggravation and time invested. My thoughts, company has priorities list, if you contract for 4 services a year, service is more likely expedient; yearly service, when they get there, they get there.

First off, everyone at the office that was dealt with over the phone was very nice, and tried to work with us regarding price. The on-site employee is a different story. We needed our gutters cleaned and this was the first time we used this company. After discovering we had screen covers on our gutters the doorbell was ran incessantly, and then received an attitude that they would have to take them off. Once we agreed to the extra cost to take them off, the job was done. My biggest issue was the hour I spent cleaning up when they left. Screens and dirt were found all around my house, both in the front and backyard. Even though the office staff was pleasant, we wont be having them back.

THEY DON'T SERVICE PUTNAM COUNTY. they are located in Danbury, wth.

They did an amazing job, came when I wasn't home and cleaned everything up.
