I have been a customer of Mitchell Oil for 35 years. Every job they have done for me has been professional\y completed by friendly and competent professionals. Tim (sales manager), came to my home to look at the job and promptly got back to me with the estimate. The job was set up for the following week. The technicians, Dave and Holden showed up promptly that morning. They estimated they would be done by 2:00. They ended up working until 5:00. They worked straight through to get the job done. They were extremely friendly and went beyond what I expected. It was a great experience! Thanks Mitchell Fuel !

Everything went super smoothly, the whole thing was completed in the morning, everything back up and running by noontime! Anyone looking for a heating, A/C, oil delivery, propane delivery, furnace cleaning company, look no further than Norbert E. Mitchell. We have our A/C yearly maintenance and our yearly heating maintenance contracts with them. We are extremely satisfied.

The technician was very patient and informative regarding my many questions while he was here. He shared why and how a good annual maninatenance should be performed and suggested strategies for keeping my system in good condition for many more years (my system is quite old). He was very polite and left the area around my furnace cleaner than he found it. I have been a Mitchell customer for about 7 years and compared to other oil companies I have used in CT you can tell that Mitchell really does focus on customer service. They have always promptly and reliably addressed my service needs and are forthcoming ways that I can save a little money when possible. I feel like they genuinely look out for their customers.

They put the 2 tanks outside and all I pay for is the per gallon rate. Great compared to everyone else who charges for regulator, contracts etc...

The cost was nothing because I have an ongoing service with them. So I can just call up and say I want to pre-buy for the next season. They provide all sorts of oils, propanes and even HVACS.

I have had problems with the furnace in the past, and he did not charge for anything. Its just pay the one contract cost, and each time they come to service or repair, there is no extra cost. I have had others, who charged for everything. I'm not sure what others are charging, and I got into it with them, they said it was the same cost as the contract. They are reliable, professional, and they know what they are doing.

Mitchell is my home oil provider. They are excellent about keeping to schedule and making sure that my family and I are warm and cozy in the winter months. The thing that drew me to them though was their excellent costumer service. A few years back I accidentally let my oil tank go too low. I had small kids at home and it was a weekend when I noticed. I quickly called my oil company that I had at the time and described my situation. There was nothing they could do for me. They didn't even try. I called around and finally reached Mitchell. The customer representative was so kind and understanding. She assured me that this happens and they could help. Within hours I had a full tank of oil. Mitchell has been my home oil company ever since. I highly recommend this caring company.

Called for delivery at about 1pm on Tuesday. The very nice receptionist said the earliest a driver could get out would be Wednesday afternoon or more likely Thursday, which I said was fine. She asked how low our tank was; I replied, "very, like 1-2%, but it's not an emergency." Within two hours after calling, the delivery truck was here and we didn't have any extra emergency fees! Mitchell is the best!

A year ago I had a 500 gallon above ground propane tank installed to power a whole house generator. The propane company that installed it did not secure it properly and as a result the tank had start to tilt downward. Since it sits on top of a small hill, I was obviously uncomfortable and called the company to come out and level it out. They claimed they no longer had the proper equipment and therefore they could not do anything for me. I called Joe Flanagan at Mitchell and he came out the same day to look at the tank. The next day he had a truck out to my house to lift and stabilize the tank. All for no charge to me since I transferred my propane business to them. It is very hard to find good customer service these days but everyone should take notes from Mitchell, they are doing it right and have earned themselves a long term customer!

It took them a half of a day to do the work. The company sent 3-4 workers.

They respond promptly and are reasonably priced.
