In August 2013 the water heater quit working, and investigation showed rusted holes in the tank, and the pipe was completely rusted through. The tank was replaced and the repairman indicated that we were lucky to have awoken with the state of the equipment. We replaced the equipment and pipe at an unexpected cost of $2000. When we contacted Mitchell about the problem they completely denied any responsibility for what had occurred and would not even discuss any obligation they may have based on providing an annual service for the system about 7 months earlier. We are shocked and angered by the response and want others to know that if they are relying on Mitchell for assisting with safety they should not be and should take extra precautions.

The tech was very professional and thorough. It was over 95 degrees outside and he maintained his professionalism - no easy feat. When I first moved into my home in March, it was quite cold. We de-winterized the house only to then find out that the oil tank was empty - I misread the guage. I hadn't yet signed any service or delivery agreements and Mitchell came within 30 minutes of my telephone call, on a Saturday, to give me enough oil to heat the house till my formal delivery. The tech also took a look at my system to ensure it would operate properly after the drop. You can't put a price on service like that. The techs are rivaled only by the office staff... also very professional, courteous, and appreciative of their customers. Nothing left to say, this company provides outstanding value for the costs. Even if they weren't so competively priced, I would pay the extra for this kind of service. Thanks guys!

Sales rep was very responsive, estimated cost was accurate and scheduling the job was straight forward. Work crew came when promised and did the work without a hitch. We were very happy with the whole process. This is the first provider I have contacted solely on the basis of the Angie's List rating, and our results confirm their excellent rating.

I have exceptionally pleased with them. The service is phenomenal, accurate, timely and fair. They don't waste time to get the job done. They calculate out how can they need to come over the spill like it do to call back and they should be here in over 2 weeks.

Overall I got anxious when they did not call me back quickly or perform their services to my schedule but they did explain to me up front that they were backed up at least a month or more.

We were completely out of propane for our generator due to an extended time without power because of the storm Sandy. I kept calling our regular supplier and they kept saying they were coming the next day and then they no showed, day after day. This went on for almost a week. Finally my neighbors who are all customers of Mitchell convinced me to call and I did so late Monday afternoon, Nov 5th. They qualified me as a customer and then filled my tanks on Tuesday morning, Nov 6th. The driver even made sure that my cook top was working properly given the long time without gas. We could not be happier with their service.

They were expert in the problem and had it fixed well within one hour, keeping our costs under control as well as returning our pool to usability.

I have been a Mitchell customer since 1999. They provide our home heating oil and maintain our heating equipment. We currently have a fixed price oil delivery plan, with payments split up across the year. We have an oil heat service plan which covers both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Delivery drivers and service technicians have always been prompt, neat, and efficient. Occasionally, Mitchell has not met my expectations, but they are always willing to make things right.

They are rite on the ball. You call them and they come rite out. I would highly recommend them.

We have had them for 20 years for our heating which is an oil burner. We have been very happy with them. We actually contracted the air conditioner with them because we got a really good deal. We checked with 3 companies and they had the best price. It is a family run company and they have been in business for years. They are going to start the new project on the 7th of July and will be finished in 2 days. I have no qualms; they are very together and they know what they are up to. We have a contract with them for the oil where they come each year and service the oil burner. They’ve been nothing but well to me because we’ve had problems every once in a while and they’ve come back and replaced things on the furnace. They’ve been really good. As far as the whole experience, we still haven’t finished with them. We haven’t had the air conditioner installed yet, but for the previous experience, they were excellent. All of the men they have sent out knew their job and were excellent. We have paid the first of 3 payments and we don’t pay the next 2 until 30 days after the installation and 60 days after the installation. It gives us time to be satisfied and it sounds pretty good.

They had responsive service. They were reliable. The staff was outstanding, professional, friendly and easy. The price was fair. They were trustworthy.
