Description of Work: While we did not end up using Mike - he was very responsive, up front about pricing and presented different solutions for our needs. He suggested a fix rather than a total replace and I will use Mike in the future!

Description of Work: I've used Mike Barrett twice in the last year. 1) to change out a heating zone valve that failed and 2) put new shower valve/piping while we were giving our bath a makeover. In both cases, Mike was very quick to respond to my phone call and had a team out to the house right away and pricing was fair. The team was polite/professional and work was well done.

Description of Work: I had emailed Mike asking for a quote for a new zone valve. His estimate was as fair as anyone else and I had used his company before, so we booked a time for him to come out. | |He arrived when he said he would, was here for as long as he said he would be and charged me exactly what he said he would. No attempt to "find" other issues or stay for an extra few minutes in order to line his pockets at my expense. He's a real stand up businessman and I wouldn't have plumbing work done by anyone else moving forward.

Description of Work: I found a leak in the basement and thought it might be the hose/pipe going outside through the cement wall. I called Mike Barrett and he got back to me within a couple of hours. I described the problem and he said he would be able to send his crew to the house that afternoon at my requested time of 3:00. They were right on time and took a look. They knew immediately what the problem was and what should be done, but unfortunately they did not have the materials as this was more of a cement wall problem. They were very professional. And they did not charge me for the visit. If I ever have a plumbing problem, I would certainly call them again.

Description of Work: Mike fixed a faulty kitchen faucet in my rental house in Bethel. He said it was a very quick fix, and did not charge me for it. Earlier in the year he recommended someone to fix my (old) boiler as this is beyond the scope of his work. That person did a fine job, so I owe him twice!

They did a very neat and professional job and my husband and I am very happy with the results. Mike is very easy to deal with. He answered all my calls promptly. The guys arrived right when expected. They were finished in no time and left no mess. I will definitely use this plumber again.
