Great job all around! Prompt, professional and honest. Charged less than the price initially quoted since the job took less time than expected. Neat work, nice guy, reasonable prices, and had all the parts he needed on hand to get the job done. Would certainly recommend to others and hire again myself.

After working with a plumber who recommended putting a hole in the wall in the hallway upstairs to access our shower, I called Mike based on Angie's list and a recommendation from a retailer in Town. I couldn't be happier, or more satisfied. I had already ordered the replacement parts for the shower, and Joe (Mikes very efficient, professional and competent associate), very quickly figured out what needed to be done (without putting a hole in wall) and fixed the leak and installed new fixtures. Mike worked on the kitchen faucet and managed to stop the leak without having to put in all new faucets! He gave very honest, cost effective advice about other repairs, and will be back to fix another shower. He also provided the name and phone number of a trusted tile installed with whom he works. Hire this man! Mike and Joe were very professional, honest, prompt, pleasant and most important, extremely competent. Needless to say, I was very satisfied.

Mike was prompt, courteous and did a quick yet personable and professional job. He is well known in our condo village and even took a moment to visit with a neighbor to see how she was doing. Hope I don't need him again, but if I do I'll be sure to contact him again. Thanks YOu.

Every interaction with Mike Barrett was professional. His man completed the work successfully and efficiently. We had called a number of plumbers and Mike was the most responsive. The job was done right and we feel that we won't have to deal with the kitchen sink backing up ever again! The price was a bit high but I guess you get what you pay for. I would use Mike and his crew again.

I called Mike Barrett after reading the positive reviews on Angie's List. I am so pleased I did. Mike personally returned my call in less than 1 hour. Set up an appointment for the next business day. (he offer to come out right away if it was needed). Mike arrived right on time, did the work himself. He was extremely efficient and professional. A+ work, he is neat, and his cost is reasonable. Nice guy to boot. I am a delighted customer. He's the guy I call the next time I need a plumber.

Mike returned my initial call promptly and we picked a time for him to visit and take a look at the job. During that visit Mike not only scoped out the job but took some extra time and walked through the house with me while fielding other questions that I had about the plumbing. It was clear he would take as much time as needed and go through all my concerns, even making some adjustments on the water pressure system and doing some quick tests. We then set up a date for him to return to replace the water pressure tank and install two hose bibs (I guess that's the official name but I still call them spigots!). Mike is very easy to get a hold of and was accommodating as my schedule was in flux. I like contractors like Mike that give you their cell phone number and that are responsive on text as I'm always on the phone for my work and sometimes I miss calls. On the day of the service Mike texted me that he was on his way and even arrived a few minutes early ahead of schedule. Everything was done in less than an hour and worked perfectly, with the hose bibs exactly where I asked for them to be placed. I highly recommend Mike and will use him again. He's very knowledgeable, punctual and his employees are very qualified.

As a landlord I needed immediate help to solve an issue with the tenant. With that in mind I turned to Angie's List and found Mike Barrett. He was the only one who was able to respond quickly the same day and help me out. He did a pretty good job, the tenant was happy with the response time, so was I. Very reliable and reasonable cost. I will definitively work with Mike in the future and recommend him for sure.

Mike came and helped fix our master shower that was not draining. He was prompt, friendly and helpful. He did up sell anything or charge me for more than what I needed. We plan on redoing our master bath and will have him come back to do the plumbing.

Based on my previous experience with Mike as a landlord when I needed plumbing services at home, Mike's name came to mind instantly. Again, he was punctual, fix things right the first time and was prepared with all the tools and parts needed. All this at a reasonable cost. I would work with Mike in the future and recommend him.

Mike arrived on time, was very professional, and easy to work with. He will be coming back to do some other larger jobs in the near future. We have definitely found ourselves a plumber, and highly recommend him.

My wife says his service was excellent, he was reliable and he showed up when other people weren't calling back. He had a good price too. He explained it to me and it made alot of sense and I think the job was very well done. He also gave us advice on replacement faucets and fixtures that we asked him about.

The plumbing and heating part of our new home construction was the only part we did not lose sleep over. Michael allowed us to use his discount at the local plumbing supply to help save us a great deal of money on our new plumbing fixtures. He walked us through our bathroom design and even answered his cell phone on a Sunday as we walked through Lowes looking for tile and vanities. We have used Michael and his guys at our old home many times before and have been very happy with their professional work.

A few days before the work was going to be completed I found out he was not going to pull the permit with the town until after he had begun the work. When we insisted he pull a permit beforehand and arrive with the permit in hand (as required by the building department) he refused. He would rather lose the entire job than delay starting by 1 hour so he could get the permit when the office opened. Not being willing to obtain a permit in accordance with town and state regulations was not acceptable to us, and we see it as an indicator of other possible issues that could arise if the work had been completed. If they won't get a permit as they are required to, what else are they doing improperly?

I had other plumbers look at the job and most said they probably could NOT clear the coil and they recommended replacing the coil, so they didn't do anything and I ended up paying them for looking, yeah.. I know.. ripped off. Then I called Mike (should have looked at Angie's list FIRST).. Mike used a 'green' cleaning solvent and was here maybe an hour and 1/2.. and when he finished, we went into the kitchen, he turned on the hot water and BAM...Hot water was flowing freely. Not only was I happy that I now had hot water, but Mike was the first person that did work on my house that did a great job, for a great price and he was most importantly HONEST.. You just can't find that anymore.. I have his card glued to my fridge, because he's the only person I'll ever call for my future plumbing needs.. Thanks Mike.!!!

The plumber that I had scheduled was sick and unable to come. I called Mike and he returned my call straight away and came the same day. He and his co-worker arrived promptly, finished the job quickly and charged a reasonable rate. They were very friendly and great to work with. I would highly recommend Mike Barrett Plumbing for your plumbing needs.

The new fixtures installed are top quality and the improvement in the water pressure is impressive. The price paid was $250.00 less than another Plumber. I have used this plumber several times for smaller jobs and was also always happy with the work done.

Returned phone call within 2 hours, offered solution to getting a replacement water heater - which was needed and the manufacturer was giving me a difficult time, installed water heater and corrected a pipe, packed old heater in box for return.

I contacted Mike via email on a Sunday when we totally lost water pressure at my house -- we have a pump, pressure tank, water filter, etc. I had replaced the water filter, but still had no pressure. Within a short time I received a reply from Mike via email, with a list of questions and possible causes of our problem, things for me to check, along with a promised that he would call the phone number I had provided at 8:30 the next morning. At exactly 8:30, he called, and I told him what I had found. From my description of symptoms, Mike said the trouble was most likely our pump, and he recommended that I contact the guy who installed it. He assured me that if I needed him, he would be there, but strongly recommended that I contact the pump guy. (I did, and we needed a new pump; very expensive.) Bottom line: Mike is honest and thorough. He could have charged me for a trip out to my house, but didn't. Instead, he gave free analysis and guidance that turned out to be absolutely correct. My gut tells me he's a good guy.

Mike answered my initial message quickly and courteously. He recommended an electrician to come over and estimate the cost/effort of the electrical work (plumbing and electric are separate in a disposal installation). The electrician was also quick to respond to my message and courteous. After the electrical estimate and my go ahead, Mike scheduled the appointment to install the disposal a week after the initial consultation. He was on time and did the install quickly and professionally. The electrician that he recommended also was professional and quick. The overall experience was an A+ and I will hang on to his business card (and that of the electrician) for future projects.

This was minor - Joe came out and replaced a few things in the tank. (Joe is Mike's right-hand guy). Mike has been "my guy" for plumbing for over 5 years. Maybe evern more than 10. He's efficient, prompt, courteous, professional, and funny. Joe is also a great guy and both of them do excellent work. Joe's been with Mike ever since I discovered Mike Barrett Plumbing from a random phone call via the yellow pages. If I didn't work at home, I'd leave the key and tell them to let themselves in and lock up when they were done - that's how high my regard and trust is for those two.

Mike is always responsive and prompt. I called him on a Sunday over New Year's Eve weekend when my water heater started leaking. He came out first thing on Monday morning to replace it. He's prompt and does great work.
