I had a great experience with Mike right from the time that I contacted him. I contacted him via email asking for an estimate on the items listed above. He replied within an hour or two. We set up an appointment for a morning a few days later. Since we just purchased our home, we had people working on our home from morning to evening. Since the painters start early in the morning, when I arrived to meet Mike for our appointment, Mike was already working on the projects that we talked about. Amazing! So impressive! Mike was very professional and kind, taking the time to explain different valve options and the like to me. There was even a valve that I thought needed to be replaced that Mike kindly tightened for me instead of replacing it unnecessarily. The total price was even $25 less than he originally estimated, how refreshing! I am so happy to have found a reliable, trustworthy plumber. I highly recommend Mike for any plumbing jobs you may have and I will definitely call him again next time I need a plumber. Highly recommended!

Mike was very responsive to our initial inquiry and he answered all of our questions. He was punctual and professional, and his services were reasonably priced. We would use him again.

The burst pipe was hidden behind a kitchen cabinet where I was unaware there even was a pipe. He could easily have replaced the pipe from the basement up which would have been 10 times more expensive and very time consuming. Instead he and his assistant carefully removed the fine wood bottom shelf of the kitchen cabinet. CAREFULLY using a jigsaw along the edge of the bottom of the cabinet which doubles as the bottom shelf, he found the seam and cut through the dowels and removed the entire bottom shelf of the cabinet. He cut the copper pipe joint where the freeze split it causing a huge leak. He and his assistant found the leak very carefully . They located it so fast that they didn't cause any renewed leaking or any mess at all. Both Mike and his assistant were very careful, highly professional, and couldn't have been nicer ! I brought an old broken toilet seat down to the kitchen to ask if he could find a replacement. He said he needed to see the toilet to see how it was attached. I was hesitant to trek two men all the way up my stairway in my main entrance since it is fine hardwood, down a wood hall and into the bedroom then bathroom. They both asked if I would like to have them take off shoes and they did without hesitation. I expect him to bring a new toilet seat and install it soon. ( you said you wanted details ! ) He was even better than my former plumber who moved away.

Came quickly, assessed the problem and corrected it quickly and efficiently. This was the second time we used Mike Barrett and when we need a plumber they will continue to be the first ones I call.

He did what he said he was going to do and in a timely manner. The price was reasonable.

Mike hooked up the plumbing for our washer and fixed the plumbing issue in our upstairs shower. He showed up on time, gathered the parts he needed and completely everything in a professional and efficient manner. He even put the new shower head on without being asked! Also, he provided quick advise on a heating question we had. Mike was great and we will always use him for our plumbing needs as long as we will in Fairfield County CT!

It went extremely well. My 50 gallon hot water heater began leaking so there was no question I needed a new tank. My oil supplier, Sippin Oil, serviced the oil burner days before and it began to give off the smell of burner exhaust. The furnace was giving off fumes also due to the multiple test holes in the stack. Sippin repaired the furnace but I needed a new hot water system. Sippin sales rep wanted 3,850.00 to replace the tank and 315.00 for parts to the Aprilaire 700 humidifier. I called serveral plumbing companies for estimates but most of them gave estimates without coming over. Mulvaney Plumbing called back a week later and told me I do not need a new water tank. I should send them a picture of the existing tank for their estimate. Mike Barratt came over looked at the job, said he would get back to me today and he called back with the estimate of 2,275.00. His price was 1,575.00 less than Sippin Oil. Their estimate of parts, 315.00, exceeded the cost of a new Aprilaire 700 humidifier which sells on the internet for 238.00. Barratt Plumbing was prompt, professional and their price was the best I could find. I was very happy with their service and I plan on using them again for some other projects I have planned. Mr. Barratt was helpful in referring me to a new fuel oil dealer.

It was a great experience, working with Mike. Not only did he respond within 15 minutes, he literally was out to our temporary residence within one hour. We are living with a relative, while our new home is being built. Amazingly, while here, three separate plumbing incidents have occurred. Being very mindful of house maintenance and the fact that our relative is 93, we took the lead by considering another plumber, since the other handy-man was pretty much retired. The oil burner was serviced about three weeks prior. The tech, also knowledgeable in plumbing mentioned that our mixing valve was in need of repair, plus the shower valve would need to be addressed, except that their remedy was much more complicated, costly and not the most logical approach to remedy the problem. Mike arrived on time and was very professional from start to finish. He completely viewed the task at hand much more simply. We mentioned the recent service to the oil burner and the techs suggestions. Rather than "bad mouth" the other person's idea, he took a lighthearted approach by mentioning another method that would yield proper results. Since the shower/tub enclosure is tiled, the other option we were told previously, was to cut the sheetrock in the hallway, exposing the plumbing; which is behind the shower/tub enclosure. Mike's assessment and remedy was much different and much less costly. He saw that he could easily access it by directly removing the handle itself; thus exposing the valve. Then, he simply rebuilt the valve, replaced a couple of parts and "BAM" - we were all set on that part. Then, came the more involved aspect of this job. He went down to the furnace and cut out the old section of leaking pipe, lowered and repositioned the new mixing valve to where it should have been installed originally and buttoned it up neatly, effectively and in an amazingly timely fashion. We found Mike on Angie's List and after reading many reviews, decided he would surely be the person for the job. He runs a great company and we look forward to continuing to utilize his services when needed in the future...

Well, here we go, three for three...Mike Barrett and his colleague Joe hit it out of the park again. The tough part is that we've needed three plumbing calls within the last few weeks. We are staying with my fiancé's mother while our new home is being built. While we here we utilized Mike Barrett and his company, after finding impeccable reviews on Angie's List. Mike, as always, responded immediately and had Joe out the house within an hour ½. We simply turned off the cold water line. Upon Joe's arrival, he confirmed our assessment and got to work right away- The consistent professional, courteous and reliable service is wonderful. Mike and Joe work very efficiently and the cost for the work is right on point. Hats off again to you fellas... It is good to know that we have a reliable plumber and company that we can count on for future plumbing needs. Happy Holidays...

After having such a great experience with Mike rebuilding a shower mixing valve and installing a new mixing valve at the furnace, he was our immediate "go-to" person, when we had another leak that needed attention. He sent his colleague Joe, who was also very prompt, courteous and professional. The job was text book repair 101- The added benefit was having some great conversation while he was making the repair. Hats off to Mike Barrett and his colleague Joe, whose last name escapes me a the moment. We are so psyched to have peace of mind, knowing that Mike and his company are now a part of our primary list of contractors to help us when necessary.

Mike was fair in pricing and prompt. I always do my homework and get quotes from 2 people. Mike was the first to return the call and the first one to come out. Mike took the time to look at my property and inspect the best materials to use to complete the job, he had the quote to me in a few hours. The other company when the finally made it didnt even come close to how thoughtful and professional Mike is. He and his team installed the gas line a few days later, he took the time to get the permits and schedule to follow-up inspection which was a few days after the install, he took the extra measure to come the morning of the inspection to check the pressure in the line. Mike and his team are the best plumbers I have worked with.... they are truly great!

The price was fair for the type of unit that I needed. Mike Barrett was helpful in answering my questions and provided me with a quote quickly. He scheduled the install the next business day and showed up on time. The installation took the time that he estimated. He and his assistant were professional and left the work area clean. I would recommend Mike Barrett Plumbing and would use him again.

I contacted Mike Barrett Plumbing LLC for a quote on labor and service charges through Angies' List. Mr. Barrett was attentive and responsive to my request for a quote both through the messaging system on Angies' List and by telephone. Price was based upon job not hourly rate. We then scheduled a time to review or conduct the plumbing repairs dependent upon the severity of the issue. Repairs were done by Joe of Mike Barrett Plumbing LLC that morning. Joe arrived on time for the appointment and inspected the plumbing needs I had. Joe only required a parts trip once as all other parts were on hand. The price was reasonable and the repairs were done eficiently. Repairs were done to my satisfaction and I would definitely use Mike Barrett Plumbing for all future plumbing needs.

One of the best plumbing experiences ever. Mike was quick to respond he have me an estimate over the phone. Arrived exactly on time and fixed the pipe. He charged me exactly what he stated on phone. I would use him again and without any reservation reccomend him.

He did excellent work. He was so professional and I was amazed. The guy gave us a great price. He showed up in a van with a logo on side of a van and dressed in a plumber uniform. He was very friendly but not overly chatty and immediately went to work and did it very quickly. He showed up exactly on time and did it quickly and efficiently. We haven’t had any trouble with any of the things he has worked on. I would recommend this guy in a heartbeat. It was super reasonable for what he did. I would like to tell others that the guy was a consummate ??pro and they can’t go wrong with him.

This was not an easy job but it all turned out OK. Super good plumbers and hard workers. They are the best.

The plumber was very professional and pleasant. We called him for three problems, two of which he was able to fix very quickly and efficiently. For the third issue, he needed to go to the store for a part. Although he didn't find the part at the store, we were charged for that time (a little over an hour). Overall, we would definitely hire him again, but probably would not send him out to get parts!

Wow ! ! ! You can't get better than this. I called Mike about several problems. He called back the same day & came to my house the next day. I told Mike that he could come anytime that day - someone was there all day & it didn't matter what time he came. He gave me a time estimate anywhere & I repeated that it didn't matter what time he came. He arrived a little late to his estimated time. He spent over an hour at my house. He honestly told me that one area where I was concerned there was a leak - didn't have a leak (saving me a lot of money). Then he did several small repair items - very nice work on kitchen sink & under the sink. When he left, he said he wasn't going to charge me since he arrived late. I still offered to pay him since he was at my house working for over an hour but he said no.
