I am a returning customer. Doug came out with helper and couldn't repair faucet. It was a generic brand and needed replacement. Doug asked if I wanted to go and get a faucet and have them return or if I would like them to go pick one up. His boss was nice enough to pick one up and meet up with Doug. He was back and replaced faucet and workings within the original hour. Now that's what I call great service! Doug is a very skilled plumber and a pleasure to deal with. I will be calling Mike Barrett plumbing for all my plumbing needs.

Doug and helper were outstanding. We couldn't be more pleased. Amazing to see what a skilled professional can do so expeditiously. I will be calling them in the future whenever I need a plumber.

The two-man team that came out were both friendly, efficient, and professional. They needed to chase the problem through more than one crack in pipe, but they kept at it, and replaced everything with modern PEX. Fair pricing also!

Our first experience with Barrett was great - and dramatically better than a few other "in town" recommended companies that we contacted in our first 10 months as Ridgefield residents. First, in our experience 2 of the 3 other leading local companies use answering services - even during business days - so we've waited for a callback. When we called Barrett, the guy who answered the phone was able to discuss the issue knowledgeably and schedule the visit. Our issue was burst pipe in garage (going to outdoor hose) which froze over the winter. We had it shut-off, so no emergency. Nonetheless, Barrett had a crew nearby and were able to come to the house in literally 90 minutes' time. Might have been luck, but still great. The crew - Doug and Brandon - were really professional and got right to the task. We knew a section of pipe had burst in two spots (at welds), and in about 10-15 minutes they replaced it with PEX (a flexible plastic which is definitely superior to copper, especially for areas like a garage with freezing risk). When we turned on the branch supply valve, we discovered a 3rd leak along a different section of the same line - concealed above the drywall ceiling in garage. They found it, fixed it, then discovered a 4th. Then a 5th. No joke... On this one 40-foot section of pipe we found 5 bursts from water freezing in the pipe during the winter!! Barrett fixed all 5 leaks within 90-120 minutes, and charged me a very reasonable amount. Actually Barrett's bill for this great job was a little less than one from another "in town" company that came out for less than 60 minutes and gave up on clearing a clogged sewer line, telling me the whole outside line needed to be dug-up and replaced at cost of $8-10k or more, which CT Sewer Rooter (from Bridgeport) cleared in 40 minutes of good hard work 1 day later. We would definitely recommend Barrett to anyone in Ridgefield!

Great... it happened not to be a burst pipe

He said this should not take more an an hour and hourly cost Is $125. In our next call I said a also wanted 2 bathroom sinks replaced. I had all 3 faucets. When he completed the job In 1 1/2 hours, he said it was $400 and something. I questioned this cost. He then said it was $125 per faucet and $60 for material- he had to get longer hoses for bathroom sinks. We agreed on $330. I was satisfied with that price but had to argue to get that.

We did not know who to call, and after consulting Angie’s List and finding that Mike Barrett Plumbing had an excellent rating, we decided to give him a call. No heat or hot water when it’s cold out is no joke! (In the spirit of full disclosure, we first called a very large service provider that also had delivered oil to us for many years; their price seemed very high, so we decided to get a second opinion). Thank God we did...after calling Mike, he personally came to our house to assess the situation, and called us back within a couple of hours with an estimate. His price was WAY better than the other quote, and he seemed like he knew his stuff and was pretty straight up, so we gave him a shot. Good call on our part; he was back the next day with an equally knowledgeable crew who worked quickly, cleanly, and efficiently, and he installed a brand new unit within a few hours. He and his men were courteous, left the premises as clean as they found them, and performed the job to our total satisfaction; the quality of the work is evident. It’s really nice to see, in this day and age, a business that doesn’t try to take advantage of you when your up against it. I’m glad we chose Mike Barrett plumbing, will call him again if ever needed, and HIGHLY recommend him!

Mike and his team came back after my issue returned and fixed it for free. This level of customer service is what sets Mike Barrett Plumbing above the rest.

Arrived as scheduled, team completed the job within the time frame estimated. No issues.

We had a new floor installed in our bathroom and Mike very accurately uninstalled the toilet, then reinstalled it once the floor was fully installed. Because the new floor was different than our previous floor, the reinstall of the toilet required a follow up. Mike graciously followed up to make sure that the job was done correctly and to our satisfaction. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He could have easily charged us for the visit but instead solely wanted to make sure the job was completed and that we were satisfied. This type of professionalism ensured that we would be using Mike for all of our future plumbing needs. Mike is not only a skilled plumber but takes pride in customer satisfaction.

It went smoothly. Doug was punctual, professional and friendly. He did the job quickly and then provided step-by-step instruction on how to change the filter.

It went perfectly! Mike responded to my call the same day and arrived at my home on time as scheduled. He was professional and trustworthy. He explained the work that would need to be done to fix each of the 3 problems and gave an estimate of the cost. He completed the work as described and the final bill was less than the estimate. All three problems are resolved and I am happy to have a plumber that I feel confident to use for any future plumbing issues!

Mike was very honest, reliable, and professional. Our pipes are very old, and he repaired what he could, and gave us an estimate for an upgrade in the near future, which was very reasonable. He gave us a discount because he couldn’t complete the job fairly due to an issue behind our wall. We will be calling Mike back because he did a great job as we expected with the service call, and honesty is hard to come by these days with professional work being done!

Mike is personable, knowledgeable, and gave us a reasonable rate on the repairs that we needed for heating system. I have recommended him to friends as I am impressed with his expertise.

I reached out to Mike on a Tuesday evening inquiring about a quote for repairing two toilets and a leaky faucet. Mike IMMEDIATELY responded to my inquiry, followed up with a phone call, and after asking for some additional information, provided me with an extremely reasonable quote. The next day, he called me in the morning and we confirmed the type of materials and labor required. During the day, I made the mistake of trying to remove and install a kitchen faucet myself. After numerous attempts to remove the sink and cutting myself up all over my hand, I reached out to Mike asking for urgent help. He asked me the situation, assessed it, and told me he could get a team out there within an hour or two! An hour and a half later, his team was out here, they assessed the situation, came in and got the job done! Mike's team was very professional, efficient, and I plan on using them for all future plumbing needs! Two guys were sent out on Wednesday, accommodating the times needed due to my work. They were friendly and punctual and gave me their best recommendation! I would call Mike Barrett Plumbing again if I ever needed anything!

Mike and his team did a great job, everything was well planned and coordinated. Mike and his team operate like a well oiled machine! They arrived 10 minuets early, the new boiler arrived 10 minuets later. The old unit was disconnected, removed and hauled away within the first 30 minuets and the team started installing the new system. I am glad that I did my due diligence and found Mike Barrett! Showed up as promised, Mike and Doug work quickly, efficiently to get the job done on time in this remodel as I had a tight schedule to meet, before taking residence of my new home. Collaborated well with other trades on site, getting the job done. Had a delay on a supplier's end, due to a damaged sink (unrelated to Mike), and once the replacement came in, Mike was quick to return and get it installed for me, no additional charge. Came back to adjust a toilet, no additional charge. I have experience with the building industry and know what to look for; Mike knows his stuff, and does it right. No issues, Mike's now my go-to plumber.

Came quickly and on time. No issues with the work that was done. I was disappointed that the manuals/instructions sheets for the new items were not left. When it comes time to replace the cartridges/washers I won't have the manuals with the proper part numbers to make it easy to get the replacements
