Great! Mike and his team did exactly what they were supposed to do, on time and professionally. In addition, I was able to pick Mike's brain about a leaky faucet and a dryer vent hook-up problem. Would definitely use again.

We had a small issue with our shower that we could not fix ourselves. Mike came HIGHLY recommended, and not only fixed our issue very quickly and professionally, but fixed another smaller problem we did not realize existed (the second problem was fixed free of charge!). This contractor was quick, professional, communicated well and cleaned up after the job.

Doug & Joe arrived promptly and went to work immediately and finished within an hour and a half. They were very professional and pleasant, and they cleaned up after themselves.

After finding Mike on Angie's List, this is now the third time I've had to call him for unexpected plumbing-related issues. First time, the pipe under my kitchen sink separated, and he came the same day I called and fixed it right up... he even improved upon the design of the drain, since the previous homeowner had rigged it in a less-than-ideal way. Second time was just last week, when we had an overnight pool develop under our fridge that turned out to be a leaking line in the back of the fridge to the ice machine... again, same day expert service. Over Labor Day weekend, we discovered a puddle in the basement under a constantly dripping water line under the bathroom. I called Mike on Sunday, who said he could come on Monday (LABOR DAY!) morning, but we ended up scheduling for first thing Tuesday morning since we put a bucket under the drip and it didn't seem to be too immediate an issue/concern (we used the other bathroom in the interim). Arrived first thing this morning and took care of the issue, no problem. So, after all of these issues and such great responsiveness, professionalism, kindness and courtesy, not to mention fair pricing and quality work, I can safely say Mike is my plumber for anything that comes up, scheduled or not! Thanks, Mike!!!

It was simple repair that was performed efficiently and at a fair price. Mike and his crew are extremely reliable. There is a peace of mind that comes with knowing that all the work they perform is done right.

Called Mike up after our hot water heater died. Mike gave me a price on the hot water heater and installation within 5 minutes. The price was almost $1,000 cheaper than another competitor in the area who I had received a quote from. They were able to come the next morning to install the unit. Installation took about an hour. The two plumbers that did the job were super friendly and very professional. They cleaned up everything after themselves and were on their way. I recently had a small flood in my basement. I called Mike early in the morning and left a message. He called me back within a few minutes and was able to send two plumbers to the house to check all the plumbing. Did a very thorough job looking for source. Turned out not to be the plumbing. Very professional and very responsive. I will be using Mike for any and all plumbing issues in the future if needed.

We noticed a water stain on our kitchen ceiling and had no idea where the leak was coming from. The techs determined that the leak was coming from the upstairs toilet and replaced the toilet seal. The techs were very professional, punctual and courteous. It was our first time ever calling for a plumber and we felt very comfortable with their service and how we were treated. We would most certainly go to Mike Barrett for any future plumbing needs.

I emailed Mike at 9 pm on a Thursday before a long weekend and he was there the next morning fixing our water hammer issue in a brand new, renovated guest bathroom. He did a great job - so far no water hammer. He subsequently came to fix a leak in our master sink -- again in short notice and did an excellent job. We'd use him again without a doubt.

The day before a large family event at my home, we noticed a terrible smell coming from a new toilet we had installed during a remodel last year. I contacted Mike on Saturday, who quickly worked to schedule a crew member for the following morning. Doug from his team agreed to come immediately, so we did not need to deal with the repair the morning of the party. Doug quickly discovered that the toilet simply wasn't installed correctly and fully removed and reinstalled it using the proper parts. He was in and out within an hour with everything working (and smelling!) great. I wouldn't hesitate to use Mike and his team again and fully plan to, when the need arises.

Mike Barrett definitely exceeded my expectations! He came over twice to help repair a number plumbing issues we were having in a house that we just moved into. Mike was efficient, knowledgeable, and was ready to help us with everything. He gave us good recommendations on where to go to pick out new fixtures for the ones we needed to replace. What I appreciated most about Mike was how courteous, professional, and respectful he was. He was flexible and worked around my schedule, and he also went above and beyond to point additional things out to me, with tips on how I could fix them on my own time. He was able to answer all my questions and is clearly very experienced, and good at what he does. I would strongly recommend him to my family and friends, and to everyone on Angie's!

Mike was punctual for the apptments for estimate....had the quote to me later in the day. His quote was best for what he proposed to provide.....all new parts, use of licensed electrician, all to code. Others provided quotes using existing parts or lacking code requirements. His crew was courteous and pleasant. Mike was on the job checking in at time points that made me confident he was in charge of everything for this 2 day job. The existing piping was a jungle...he organized it and moved the equipment to a more sensible position. Highly recommend this contractor.

It went terrific - as the team responded within 2 hours of a call and they were at my house in Ridgefield later that hour. They snaked our shower drain down some 28 feet. The guys then cleaned the 2 sink drains in our master bath; plus they checked a second bathroom's shower & sink drain - of which, they made some quick fixes - explaining it all to me as we went along. Soon enough they shared a bill - and no sooner were they on their way. Doug & Joe were great - and I completely trusted their recommendations. I will recommend this company to all my friends and neighbors.

It couldn't have gone better! Mike was always prompt in getting back to me plus he was very professional as were the two men who came out the second time. I am VERY pleased with the work and the price and I would highly recommend this company. I feel I have a plumber I can rely on! I definitely plan on using Mike in the future for any work or repairs I might need.

Mike was very quick to return my call and scheduled an appointment for the next day. His crew showed up on time, discussed a few options of where to install the hose bib and got right to work. They completed the job quickly and at a reasonable price. I'll be sure to call Mike again for my future plumbing needs. Thank you Mike.

Mike and Doug arrived five minutes early and fully prepared for whatever tasks I had arranged for them. They were courteous and professional, absolutely diligent in addressing my needs. Within 45 minutes they had completed all the work to my satisfaction, while engaging in polite conversation with me. At the end they provided me with a reasonable bill for services and I paid by check. I was very pleased with their work ethic and asked if they would continue to be my plumbers. They agreed.

Joe and Doug showed up promptly at 8:30 when the appointment was scheduled. They quickly got to work creating space to install the new utility sink in the basement, followed by attaching a new cleanout and running a new drain line. They made sure to bore holes into concrete to fasten the sink, and ran supply lines from existing taps to the sink. The work was very neat, and looks great. While they were in the basement, I also asked them to replace a corroded union valve that controlled supply to the washing machine. This was done easily after shutting off the main water supply, and draining the house into the new lowest drain. Joe and Doug picked up all leftover materials, vacuumed the space, and left the work area in better shape than it started. Last but not least, they replaced the cartridge in a Moen shower fixture, which improved the water pressure noticeably. Both Joe and Doug were great, and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

The project went very well. As with any construction project there are always issues that arise between the contractor, plumber, electrician, tile guy, etc. In one case the shower drain wasn't perfectly level so the tile guy could not install the tile in the floor of the shower. Mike had his guys over to my house within 20 minutes to correct the shower drain so the tile guy could compete his work. In another instance, there was a small leak around one of the faucets installed in the vanity. Mike had his guys come back right away to fix it. It turns out it was a defective new faucet and not a result of their installation. The point being he was incredibly responsive whenever there was an issue. Mike also responds to communication very quickly. If he says his guys will be there at a specific time, they are there at that time. Few other contractors act as professionally as Mike and his staff. I would highly recommend them.

I was in California when one of the toilets had a leak. My grown children were home and they let me know that the water pressure was low and the ceiling underneath the toilet was all wet. I called Mike Barrett using the Angie's list. He called me on the same day and told me when he would go. I told him I wasn't home and would have my kids to prepare to pay for the job. He said not to worry, that he would leave the bill and I could pay later after I returned home. After he came when he said he would and he was nice enough to call me and let me know that the job was done and the bigger problem was low pressure. He even game me a referral. His price was reasonable and he was reliable. I would use him again.
