Great experience

As expected

The available space in the new room was increased at least 5-6 times over what we had had before, the layout was more naturally functional, and with the benefit of significantly more storage cabinets and shelving. Jonathan was able to very quickly visualize what we were going for and capture it in 3D renderings which we were able to access and see what it would actually look like, complete with specific measurements of the proposed room and what it would look like from different perspectives and directions. It really brought the room to life. Seeing it in this manner really was valuable to us in some of our ideas were reinforced as to their feasibility while some gave us food for thought to change. He also provided detailed construction plans that he himself took over to the town hall and submitted them for the permitting process for us. These detailed plans also proved to be of enormous help in talking with contractors during the interview process about our project and headed off possible misunderstandings of what we wanted and how we wanted it done. I liked this a lot because of my lack of experience or skill in construction and I found I was able to actually talk with a reasonable level of clarity and to know if they were thinking off track. Jonathan also provided suggestions about effective ways of talking with contractors during the interview process so as to ensure quality performance and an acceptable price. He also provided ballpark figures of what the project should realistically cost (a big help). Jonathan is a consummate professional and an enjoyable individual to work with. He's patient and has a friendly manner about him that make you feel at ease, doesn't try to talk you into something you aren't comfortable with, and provides different ways of looking at how to achieve your goal. I would definitely use him again and would recommend him without reservation.

Jonathan was a pleasure to work with; he was easy to reach by phone or email, he was prompt for all appointments and met all deadlines. He listened to our needs and did several revisions of the plans to help us design just what we wanted. I would use him again for future projects.

Jonathan was always prompt, courteous and professional in our dealings with him. They were very good about listening to our needs and drawing up plans that reflected our discussions, very amenable to modifying the plans as we went along. They really helped us visualize and work out what we wanted to accomplish with our renovation. Final product exceeded expectations. There were a couple of minor misunderstandings about pricing and services, which they were very accommodating about and were resolved smoothly. They were a pleasure to work with.

I contracted with JE&Sons to draw up some plans on a porch addition my wife and I are about to embark on. We had a good idea of what we wanted and had a couple of sketches for Jonathan to work from. From the outset Jonathan was very responsive and professional; promptly responding to emails as well as keeping us updated as he progressed along with taking measurements onsite and drawing up the project. After Jonathan completed the initial drawing he met with us to review and make adjustments we deemed necessary. Being able to see a rendering, change colors and materials etc. really helped us feel confident that are design decisions up front would pay off during constructions. Jonathan?s final deliverable consisted of an isometric drawing of the house and proposed porch against a picture of the existing house followed by front and side (Left) elevations, a plot plan showing the proposed porch and finally construction view showing detailed aspects of the framing in accordance with state codes. The job left me feeling that I would have the appropriate tools to not only satisfy local town requirements for permit approval but also means to have appropriate discussions and review points with my builder throughout the life-cycle of the project. I would definitely recommend Jonathan to others and will use his services again in the future should another opportunity present itself.

He as very professional. He actually saved us money because he drove down to the Town Hall with us and we found out we couldn't do what we wanted to do. Through this we realized we wouldn't have been able to get the permits for the work. He did not charge us for this.

RUN! Run fast and far from these people. After destroying our renovations they closed up shop and disappeared.

Well, at the moment we are in the middle of the project. Renovating a home has been extremely scary, I watch renovation shows on T.V. these days for group therapy, as it turns out it's a hair raising experience for everyone. Jonathan seems to understand this in fact I would venture to say I call too much, worry to much, and am at heart a bit of a spaz when it comes to making decisions and changing my mind. Jonathan the G.C. is calm collected and very accommodating. He has a great disposition and his wealth of knowledge and connections has come in very handy more times than I can think of. Plus weather he knows it or not he would make a great architect - and has quite an eye for design. The best thing I can say about him is he is honest, no really, it's amazing but he is an honest contractor. As for the crew, I love them. They are a lot of fun to be around. Jesus the foreman I honestly consider a friend. The guys are sweet, helpful and FAST! Really fast, the work is beautiful. These guys take a lot of pride in what they are doing and it is looking really amazing so far. No stone left unturned. We feel really blessed. We are not the easiest clients to deal with, and these guys have been great to us. I will check back in when the project is done, but so far so good.
