We had Hefferon install a new heating & cooling system for us almost exactly one year ago & everything worked great until just this past Sunday when out of no where the house got warm. First thought was Oh Great, A/C's broken down. With it being Sunday & a Holiday weekend I thought my chances of getting service on Monday would be slim. But I called Sunday evening placing a request for a service call. Much to my surprise 1st thing Monday morning I got a call asking if it was Ok to send out a technician as Andrew was available. Without hesitation I send YES, I need my A/C working. Within minutes after Andrews arrival he had diagnosed the problem & explained that the Air Conditioner was working fine, but one of our zone dampers had failed. Andrew explained our options that we could repair our 20 year old zone damper, or replace with a new modern Honeywell zone damper, only problem with that being he had to order the parts & with Tues. being the 4th of July he couldn't return until Weds. My wife & I decided Weds. would be fine & to get us thru, Andrew bypassed the damper so we could enjoy some A/C. First thing Weds. morning just like clockwork, Andrew showed up, replaced our dampers, & got us back to 100% operation. He left the job site spotlessly clean, made sure all my questions & concerns were answered. I'll end my review by saying I spent 30 plus years as a HVAC service technician myself and I've now been retired for 10 years. Could I have done the job myself & saved a few bucks, probably yes. Could I have done the job better than Andrew, defiantly NO. Am I as up to date on modern technology as Andrew, again NO. Bottom line, if your reading this review & wondering if you should chose Hefferon as your Heating & Air Conditioning contractor I can only say Why wouldn't you. Ernie is exactly the type of guy I would have loved to work for. Andrew is so knowledgeable at such a young age that I'm jealous. The entire group of employees is top notch. Do yourself a favor, call them. Believe me, after 30 years in the industry I know your not going to regret that you did.

Very pleased with the job they did. Ernie was patient, thorough, knowledgeable and always accessible, going above and beyond to make sure we got what we needed, and his whole team - Christina in the office, Andrew, Ben, etc. on the job - were great to work with. Price was definitely fair for the high-end equipment installed.

We were working with oil, and after seeing the cost of switching to gas (which would also mean propane tanks on our property) decided to stick with oil. We spoke with 4 HVAC companies, including an oil provider. All of them, with the exception oil provider and Hefferon, tried to get us to switch to gas. I told Ernie Hefferon that we'd done the research, and decided to stick with oil, and he didn't question it, just gave us what we wanted. He was also the first that measured how many heat registers we had in the house, to be sure we had a boiler that would not only provide heat to all the registers, but would also not be more than we needed. Ernie worked within our time frame, and got the boiler and 'fan in a can' installed with no problems (even came in on a Saturday evening to finish up). Very happy with Hefferon, and have nothing bad to say about the company.

We just had our furnace and A/C unit replaced by Hefferon. Ernie quoted us a great price and was very competitive vs 2 other quotes. As luck would have it, the job started right after Independence Day holiday which was really hot in the 90's and was miserable without air conditioning. On the first day, supplies for the job were delivered, and his guys, Andrew and Max, started later that afternoon. In about an hour and a half, they got the outside unit removed, carried the new furnace into the cellar with Ernie, and disconnected the old. Before they left, they made sure that we had hot water. The next day, there were 4 guys working. They installed the outside unit, pulled out the old furnace and put the new one in. Just about lunch time, Andrew flipped a switch and they all went outside to eat their lunch. What was the switch you ask? It was air conditioning! Isn't that amazing! New working A/C in less than 24 hours! What amazing guys! They were really nice guys, neat, and polite. They worked really hard and knew what they were doing and took pride in their work. This was one of those rare times that I was happy to pay the bill, because it was worth it!

The company was great, Ernie worked to meet my needs as my old system packed up right when it started to get hot. He and his team did an excellent job in getting my house cool again.

Heffron was wonderful. Job completed on-time and for original estimate.Workers were neat and organized.

They were excellent. They're close to home. They're down the road. They were very competent. They came to do what they had to do. They had to do the maintenance part of it. It was $132 for the cleaning. The price could be a little less. They responded right away. I left a message and they called and made an appointment. They were prompt when they came for the appointment.

We called Ernie from Hefferon and the call was returned by Ernie the next day. We met with Ernie to review what our options were to have a more efficient system installed in our home. We currently had electric heat with window and wall units for air conditioning. Once the size of the unit and price was agreed upon the work was scheduled. His workers were very neat and professional. They came each day at the time that they said they would come and worked a full day until the project was completed. We now have central air and forced hot air in every room of our house with a two zone system. We are very pleased with Ernie and his staff and would highly recommend Hefferon Heating and Cooling for your home.

From the initial visit to my home by Ernie, the owner, to the final day of the installation, all went very well. I'm extremely happy with everything. I got a good feeling from Ernie in the initial meeting. He seemed trustworthy and really explained everything in detail and all turned out the way he said it would. I was concerned about noise that might come about not only from the air handler that would go in the attic but also the condenser located on the side of the house near the neighbors. He said it would be very quiet and he was correct. I don't even know it's on when inside the house...you can hear it a little but it's not a loud blowing noise like I've heard in other homes. The condenser outside on the side of the house is also much quieter than I had expected (didn't want my neighbors to have to endure any unwanted or unpleasant noise). He explained to me that the higher the and quot;seerand quot;, the more efficient and quieter the units will be. His team were very professional, knowledgeable and made sure to clean up each time before they left the house. I asked them many questions and they were very eager to help explain everything. They were punctual (within 15-20 mins) and respected my home, inside and out. One of the workers alerted me to a water leak by the chimney in the attic that I wasn't aware of and also noticed a potential fire hazard (some wiring was not installed safely with a junction box and he saw sparks coming from the wire when he had to move it). I was grateful that he found this and had it fixed immediately. This was quite a big job that I didn't want to entrust with just anybody and I'm glad it was with Hefferon Heating and Cooling!
