Fine. Only hic cup was having to wait to schedule as they ran out of sump pumps and were awaiting a delivery. Pushed me out at least a week as a result.

After he replaced the well pump and alligator screen on a Thursday afternoon, I had issues with extreme sediment build up in my sediment filters forcing multiple replacements and also extreme brown water (see photos). I was not overly concerned as a I figured that anytime you do work on the well, there is a chance of the iron being dislodged and having to run through the system, have the softener regenerate, etc. But on Sunday morning we had no water. I called Foleys and they came out Sunday afternoon. After 2+ hours they determined that the lines were blocked with iron and they did some stuff to clear out he lines. Unfortunately, now my water softener was clogged up and they told me I had to call my water softener people to unclog (unsure why they couldn't do it). As the water softener was in bypass mode, the water was still brown (see photo). My water softener people couldn't come out for two weeks, luckily I was able to find a different vendor who could came out on Tuesday. He unclogged the water softener, but also mentioned that the water pressure was low and the well pump was running low amps. So I called Foley's again. They came out on Friday and found an issue with the well head and a broken o-ring. They managed to fix everything, but they did charge me for the call. I know things happens, but it was very discouraging that it took multiple visits to get everything working properly. I am unsure about the quality of the work as I had two separate issues happen after the initial work (the clog and then the o-ring/well head). I hope it was just a coincidence rather than sloppy work. Foley's came highly recommended from someone I trust.
Description of Work: I have issues with high iron content in my water. The water goes from clear to a slight rust colored tinge in the water, depending on how hard the water softener is working. My water softener people recommended getting an additional filtration specifically for iron. I called Foley's for a 2nd opinion. One of their service technicians came out, and confirmed adding iron filtration, but suggested that I check to ensure that the well could support the iron filters regeneration needs. I had Foley's come back to check the well, the technician said there was low amps coming from the well pump. He took out well pump and said that there were problems with the pump (shorts). I had no reason not to believe him as the iron content is high in our water and that causes problems with well pumps.

All went very well. The natural, weekly additive they had prescribed for us worked very well as there was no build up of gunk in the tank when they opened it to inspect it. I was very happy about that. They arrived during the window of time that was scheduled and technicians were as pleasant and professional as always.

They're knowledgeable, they gave me a detailed evaluation of the status. They were very honest. I appreciated the honesty.
Description of Work: I had them come to evaluate my pump. I think they did that very fairly. They gave me an estimate of what it would cost me in case something goes wrong. The gave me a quote for how much it would be to replace a water pump.

Pump install went ok. However, during the install they managed to strike the basement bathtub with the jack hammer, resulting in a small hole in the tub. The Foley's service technician was very professional about the accident...he got my attention (as I was at home for the install) and explained what happened (he was very sorry for what happened and I could see it in his face)...again he was very professional. Foley's made sure to get someone who specialized in bath tub repairs. The repair job looks flawless! I cannot tell there was any damage to the tub. Accidents can happen to anyone...how its handled is what differentiates the "pros" from the rest of the pack. I would definitely recommend Foley's. Sump pump looks good and works great.

Left a message via Angie's list. Mr Foley called back and we discussed the problem. He suggested several things to try before he sent someone over to look into it more. I followed his suggestion & it worked! He could have simply scheduled a service call & spent 10 minutes and collected a service call fee but instead he provided simple advice as the problem was self created (I'd forgotten to change a filter frequently enough). This is a professional firm and for sure when I have a real need they'll be the first one I'll call!

I cannot praise too highly the service and professionalism of everyone we dealt with from Foley's. Losing water to your house is a traumatic experience, and they couldn't have been nicer or more reassuring that they would find the leak and fix it, which they did at a more than reasonable price.
Description of Work: We woke up one day and had no water from our well. We called a different well company who sent 2 people out who spent 2 hours looking around. They told us that we had a leak somewhere between the house and the well, and that they could fix the leak, but we first had to find "10 laborers" somewhere to dig a ditch from the well to the house (they wouldn't be specific about where the ditch needed to go). They said their company didn't do digging. He then gave us a bill for $970 for the 2 hours work, and told us to call them when we had the ditch dug. When I asked what it would cost when they did finally fix the leak, he said "thousands". My wife was understandably upset, and then called Foley's and spoke to Jeanette in the office who was extremely helpful and reassuring. She sent out Will who spent an hour or so diagnosing the problem, taking pictures, and drawing diagrams of the well, charged us nothing for this, and then called the next day with an itemized estimate to fix the problem, which included any necessary digging. Within a few days, 2 men came out with a back hoe and spent 6 hours digging. They found the leak and fixed it.

Great, they were so busy they showed up right in the end of the allotted window. They did not have a proper size of "y" we needed. They went back to the base to get it at no additional cost for us. Everything was neat and pristine afterwards. This is our third encounter with the company. First - replacement of well main pipe (leaked beyond repair and old water tank. Second - water heater replacement - no hassle over the phone quote for the comparable unit and next day service. Great people to deal with.

Electric panel was not labelled correct, worked through finding the correct breakers to allow service. Tested to verify floats were operational (which they were). Pump was over 12 years old and was shot. Replaced the pump and put in a new junction box. Septic alarm which had altered me to the issue had failed as well, once again over 12 years old. Tech replaced that as well in the basement. Everything went prompt and smooth, just the total price a bit much. Pump and alarm had significant markup.

Ty and Francis came out during a rain storm which I sure thought they would cancel. First they removed the old concrete lid and pump and wiring. Installed a riser and put concrete around it to secure. Then dug up the ground to run new pipe for wiring as the old one was done in outdated way. Installed a heavy duty lid secured by screws to the riser. Installed a high water alarm inside the garage and ran wire. They were professional and very hard working. They got down and dirty in heavy rain to do an excellent job. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Will came out for a free estimate to repair an old septic(effluent) pump on a short notice. Since the pump was too old to repair, he gave me a proposal to install new 1/2hp pump with new wiring and a riser with a heavy duty resin lid to replace an old 30" concrete lid. I asked for high water alarm to be installed inside the garage as well.

In the end I rented a metal detector and found the well myself, it was not buried underground, it was covered by some weeds/leafs in the area designated by the diagram. I assume that a company that performs this work every day should have been able to find it.
Description of Work: I had a water well issue but they could not find my well even though I had diagram showing the general vicinity of the well. They suggested I bring in an escavator to dig things up to find the well. They charged me for the service call which was a waste of my money because nothing was accomplished. In their defense i brought in another service company that also could not find the the well.

Excellent, you couldn't ask for better service. The technician, Doug, arrived on time, worked quickly and neatly. The supervisor had come to the house previously for an estimate and to see exactly what needed to be done. They both appear very experienced and competent. Everyone at the company is pleasant, and professional. A human actually always answers the phone, and calls are promptly returned. I'm really glad I chose Foley's for this important work.

it was a very labor intensive job due to the layout of the inside connections. it took several days to complete. The work was done correctly; can't complain about the quality. They inadvertently cut the line to the irrigation system and the invisible dog fence. At first they denied it was their fault, but common sense indicated otherwise. In the end, they paid for the repairs to both systems.

The work went completely smoothly start to finish. I was impressed that this was a one man job, since I had used another plumber years before that sent out 3 men and charged a full day for all of them. They explained what to expect in terms of disturbed residues and dirty water for a day. They followed up later to ensure everything was working ok. I was very satisfied with their responsiveness as well as the quality of work.
Description of Work: Well pump stopped working so called Foley's. They came out for diagnosis and said I needed a new pump. They sent one man out at 8AM the next day at my request so as to avoid OT charges. He replaced my pump (1/2 HP), put in a new control unit, and replaced 260' of flexible pipe and wires. It took him 4 hours working in below freezing temp, and he worked continuously and did not have a problem letting me watch what he was doing. Obviously he was very experienced and also very professional.
