Description of Work: Mr. Junior came to our house for Chimney cleaning at the request of our long time trusted plumber who was installing a new heating system. Junior arrived in the early afternoon and checked our furnace chimney.He came back after an hour or more and presented me a invoice for $1400.00, Which included Lal kinds of irrelevant items in addition to the chimney cleaning and demanded a deposit of $800.00 which I gave him via a check.I told him that no additional work should be performed without my written consent. The only work he performed was the chimney cleaning itemized as $180.00, The next morning I requested Mr.Junior that we would be requiring no additional work from his company and that he should return the balance our deposit--$620.00 I have called and spoken with him once and he said that he would mail a check for the balance. So far after four weeks no check has been received by us. This man is a fraud and the company is cheating its clients--- providing non relevant work to be performed and ripping off clients. We intend to report this to the better business bureau and take legal action against both Junior and the company.

Description of Work: He replaced the Chimney cap and other metal piece that prevents water from going into the chimney area. The work was ok except he didnt put the trim back on and when winter came, water poured in due to ice expansion and it ruined 3 rooms in my house. I have a friend who also had a horrible experience due to his forgetfulness. And I tried calling him a year after for a cleaning, and I didnt get a call back for 4 or 5 months!!! Sorry, he is not a good person to use.

Description of Work: Had used the company previously to replace chimney and was satisfied. However, called company following year to schedule appt for chimney cleaning. Phone rang and message did not say anything about D&J Chimney so hung up and tried again. Same thing. Hung up and then received a call back from someone saying the owner was out of town and had his phone transferred to hers so she could make appointments. Scheduled an appointment and told her that I had made another appt with another company that I was going to cancel since D&J was available now and wanted to be sure he was definitely going to be back from vacation and would do the cleaning as scheduled. I was assured that would happen. I cancelled the other company. On the day of appointment - I took day off from work - and waited. I called office. They never came, and no one called. Finally I called D&J on cell phone and was told "oh we aren't coming because we're on a job that is going to take all day". I asked when I was going to be notified about that and was told that the "secretary" was instructed to call me and reschedule. I said no one called me. I was told that the job was started the day before and was such a big job they couldn't come to me today. I asked why no one called me yesterday so I wouldn't take the day off from work. I got no response other than they couldn't come to me and someone would reschedule. Needless to say I called another company. I would never use D&J again if their customer service is so poor. Appointments sometimes have to be rescheduled but the customer shouldn't have to track down the company. It's the company's responsibility to advise client if they aren't going to make an appointment. Would never take a chance on them again.

Description of Work: I scheduled a appointment on their web site and they never responded. When I contacted them by phone and sceduled an appointment for a chimmy cleaning. I was quoted $99. per flue. They cancelled that appointment and rescheduled . They then showed up 2 hours late . They cleaned the chimney and installed two chimney caps that no one ordered and or authorized. Then they had my wife sign their invoice and give them a check for $570.as if I had requested the caps .They charged $340 for two caps 2 times fair market value.To just make it a total nightmare experience they never turned my boiler back on after they servicedsed the chimney. So we have no heat or hot water.I think you should look for someone other than this company to service or repair your chmney
