 + -1 moreMr. Ackert showed up and inspected the proposed service upgrade. I had concerns about the incoming line from the street as being too close to my garage roof. He suggested I have the town inspector come down and give me his opinion. I guess I expected Mr. Ackert, as a licensed electrician to know the current laws and regulations. He said he would get an estimate to me. After 10 days I called his office and was told they would send it via email. Another 10 days and another call and a promise to send it.. No estimate ever arrived. Very poor customer skills, I lost trust in his ability to ever show up if I gave him the job, Not Reliable...
Description of Work: I contacted Ackert Electric for an estimate for upgrading my house service from 100 amp to 200 amp.

 + -1 moreShowed up on time. Very personable and polite. Worked diligently. Cleaned up when done. Job looks great, Paid attention to detail, and I am very satisfied w/ the end product. Price was fair / reasonable.

 + -1 moreWhen I had an electrical outage, the power company said I had corrosion in the meter box and would have to have it replaced. I called three other companies before I finally got a hold of Tim Ackert. He came out the next day, explained what would be done, and then sent me a quote. He also explained additional work he could do to make sure the initial problem wouldn't reoccur. Since I was under risk of the problem reoccurring, he squeezed me into his schedule 3 days later. The electrician showed up on time, having gotten a building permit from the town, did the required work, and even finished early. Warned that we would be without power most the day, we were surprised when we were only out for 2.5 hours. The work looks great and should solve the problem permanently. The only surprise is that I have to contact the building inspector to have the work approved.
Description of Work: Removed the old electric meter box and replaced it and the attached cables.

 + -1 moreI had done a lot of research on transfer switches and wanted a certain setup to accommodate the needs in my house. Tim Ackert came out himself, listened to what I wanted, and discussed the pros, cons, and limitations of the switch. He then sent over an estimate, which I accepted, and I scheduled an installation. The crew of two was on-time, courteous, and did not make a mess. The work was performed cleanly and they were clearly pros.
