Buyer Beware: Reliable Oil which is now Daniels Oil... Called for a cash oil quote some time ago. Their prices were a little higher than the competition. Ordered oil elsewhere, no worries and no problem. This isn’t the justification for writing this. About 6-8 months goes by, I get a letter in the mail stating I owe these guys money. Around $230 to be exact. They apparently delivered oil to my house way back when! No receipt, no nothing. I called them back and explained that I’m sorry but I never asked for your services - I was basically told, well regardless of the dialogue back then - you got it, now you owe us the money for it. I explained that I would like them to audit their books and show me where I agreed to pay for this, ordered it, anything! - no reply and furthermore when I called back they told me to talk to their attorney. Even their attorney couldn’t produce documentation that I willingly ordered fuel oil from them. Even as recent as today, I got ahold of the new owners - hoping all that “small town family run business talk” that they advertise (they are now Daniels Oil) and this gentlemen basically told me to “do what’s right and pay him what he’s owed”. Even after explaining to him I never asked for a delivery - he threatened me to pay and by saying that “he will never forget my name and will remember who I am..”. He explained to me that when you call for a quote, it’s like your ordering it. I told him that’s absolutely ridiculous and false. BIG TIME Buyer beware. I fully intend on disputing this - this is like me trimming the hedges at his business and then charging for it, despite if they wanted it or not. He also told me to voice my opinion whichever way I wanted to because “I’m a ****** person regardless.” Sorry but “big business” scare tactics and bulling isn’t what this town stands for or what it’s made of. Well sir, here is that review you said I wouldn’t do.

I was told--and this was quoted by the salesman. "Look in the yellow pages and find someone else" And they were going to charge me a ridiculous amount to start my furnace. I called another company and that company was here the next morning. AND they DIDN'T CHARGE to restart the furnace.

I think it was 195 gallons of oil. I don?t know how you rate the quality of an oil delivery. I wasn?t even home, they just showed you and filled up my tank. I assumed they knew our tank was getting low, in which they were right. We didn?t schedule them. They just kind of show up when they think our oil tank is running low. I didn?t have to call them, so they just show up. I didn?t have to call them so responsiveness was great. Professionalism was definitely an ?A? because I didn?t have to actually talk or meet with the people when they came to do it.

A little slow on quote, but worth the wait. Knowledge of product a little weak, pipe work was different then scoped. They were neat in a finished area. 2nd zone did not work when they finished. Came to fix and couldn't find the problem. Left emergency switch turned off emergency switch so boiler did not work at all for 1 day. Came to fix 2nd time and they were told there was no shut off valve in house in 2nd zone but insisted on looking. Ultimately found that new piping was clogged with leftover debris from install

They have been very good and very helpful. Service work is done promptly and annually by them. They are a solid, reliable company as their name suggests. You can buy oil cheaper in the marketplace, but I think it's worth the few extra pennies for the service we get from Reliable Oil.

Steve W is the best there is for service around. You may get oil a little cheaper but having the best tech and installer around is worth it. One call does it all especially when Steve is doing the work. The other techs are very good too as they have learned from Steve.

They were very reliable. They did their job and showed up on time.
