Wyeth Architects LLC is a Connecticut-based architectural firm. We design for residential, institutional, and commercial clients. Our work has received numerous awards for design excellence. With decades of experience in new construction, renovation, and restoration, we know how to work within your budget to create designs that look good and feel right. We offer complete architectural services, from design consultation to construction documents and construction administration, as well as specialty services: energy conservation, historic preservation, and help with municipal approval processes. Our deep interest in sustainable design practices gives us experience with photovoltaics, low-head hydro, wind, passive solar, super insulation, ground source heat pumps, water sourced heat pumps, and alternative energy sources. To make buildings more efficient, we utilize all appropriate techniques and approaches including recycled materials, cradle-to-cradle strategies and strategic energy conservation and usage. LEED accredited and Passive House Certified professionals are on staff. As a CT-based architecture firm (close to NY, MA, RI, VT and NH), we are centrally located to perform work throughout New England. We are licensed in Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts.

The idea is to add a residential elevator and attendant porch and ramp to our house. Mr. Wyeth knew before he came to our house that our plans did not include a major project, at least not major by most standards; to us, of course, this is a major renovation/addition. Not only did Mr. Wyeth share his own ideas with us, he is going to email us a list of contractors who he says will be able to do the work we need done. This is above and beyond.
Description of Work: Do contact Mr. Wyeth. He is entirely professional, responsive and listens far more than he speaks. He took over an hour to chat with us about our idea, gave us specific and useful information about how to accomplish what we want and then told us we could do without his services altogether. It is not that Mr. Wyeth would not be pleased to have our business. The impressive quality and one that is too often in short supply is that Mr. Wyeth is honest and apparently not out just to make a buck. I wish we had a larger project in mind so we might continue to work with this man. I cannot, therefore, speak to the quality of his work but if the quality of the man is any indication, he must create very good drawings and plans, indeed. There are no don'ts!
