China and Crystal Repair

Both repairs came out exactly as I had hoped. Two legs of the Swarovski camel had clean breaks and needed to be expertly glued back in place. When I went to the Swarovski store at my nearby mall, they were unable to help me with the repair and suggested I search online for a crystal repair service. I did that - and lucky for me, I found this company, Dean Schulefand & Associates up in Connecticut. The artisans at Dean Schulefand connected the legs of my crystal camel so seamlessly that it is impossible to see where the breaks had been. The tip of the Steuben penguin's beak had chipped off and I no longer had the piece that came off. Dean gave me two options: his artisans could add new crystal to form a new beak - or they could work with what remained of the beak and smooth it off. I chose to have them simply re-shape the existing beak. They did a beautiful job - it looks natural and anyone who had not seen the original would not know the difference. The process from beginning to end went very well. I spoke with Dean directly on the phone first to explain the repairs I needed?he was familiar with the camel sculpture and gave me an estimate over the phone for the repairs. He also gave me very clear shipping instructions so that the pieces would arrive exactly in the condition I sent them in. When he received them, he gave me my options with the penguin piece and confirmed the prices with me via e-mail. Once I gave permission to do the work, it was just a matter of weeks before I had both pieces back in my possession. I was thrilled with the results!
