+ -1 moreFirst contact was in March was told it would be done in a few months, just finished today 1-31-16. His builder was fantastic, Masons very good but very slow. Every time we turned around there was an extra cost. Owner blamed every sub contractor and us for all the delays. He always wanted his money up front. Overall we are satisfied with the job but at close to 50% over contracted price. My advice to anyone who is considering using Preferred Properties is: 1. get everything in writing, read it and understand it. 2. Have an exact payment schedule. 3. Save all e-mails 4. Record all conversations. This has been a very pain staking process and we are very happy it is finally over.
Description of Work: Constructed an outdoor kitchen, fiberglass pool, fire pit, landscaping.

+ -1 moreIt was supposed to be a multiple year project. Phase one, at a cost of $8500 took place last spring. Many plants and shrubs did not last the winter. Several more are dying as I write this. The company now focuses on custom outdoor kitchens. I called the owner several times but he never called back. He did honor a request to replace two plants free of charge - so long as I picked them up and planted them myself! For the price I paid, i expected better service than I received. Now knowing he's not stocking a retail center, i feel like he designed my project based on the stock he had and his desire to get it off his lot before changing his major line of work into outdoor kitchens. I'm very very disappointed. I expected more from this well-established business!
