Bill did a great job and the house is so much more comfortable now.

He was prompt at getting back to me and was courteous and knowledgeable. After discussing what I needed, we mutually agreed that the deal wasn't what I needed.

Fine. They made a recommendation we did something and didn't seem to make any effect on retaining heat on the upstairs room. It may work in the summer to make the house stay cooler.

Bill agreed to come to East Haven even though it was an hour away from his office. He spent over an hour doing the inspection and even fixed a few things while he was up in the attic, all for 75.00. He explained that I needed more insulation to bring the attic up to an R 38 and that there were leaks and gaps in a lot of the ductwork. When he was finished with the job the house had a totally different feel. The heat does not go on continuesly and the house is finally warm and comfortable. I am very happy with the work and results.

William Brown is a class act. When we conversed about the job via eamil he realized the attic door would not fit my area. He said he contacted Angies List to request a refund for me.

What was installed was nothing like the one illustrated. According to this Provider, Angies list is at fault. Not him. Here is his response to my inquiry. You folks have a record of my submittals. Hi Byron Good morning Byron. I don t know if I indicated to you at the time we spoke but Angies list use their own photographs from stock and not the one that I told them to use. Its not my fault. What I can do is add to fiberglass flexible rods on either side of the cover to make the sides stiff. I have voiced my concern multiple times with Angies list and I contacted my customers regarding this situation. Those covers in that Angies list photograph are over 300. If you would like me to come over and stiffen up the edges I would be happy to if not you can get a refund and I will take my cover back. Just let me know thanks Thanks, Eco Energy Guard I would like Angies List to provide me the cover that was advertised by Angies list. I will take another half day off if need be, but I believe that this product exists, it was marketed to me, I bought it. What was delivered was substandard by the contractor's own statement after the fact. If the add was incorrect, I should have been notified before the installation was scheduled.

Bill was prompt, professional,and pleasant. He gave a thorough explanation on how the products would work, had the proper forms for me to get a federal tax credit, and completed the job in one day. Would highly recommend his services.

This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Bill Brown and his staff were professional, knowledgeable, prompt and courteous at all points in the process. The project took more than one day and since we could be flexible we received regular communication regarding each return. The work area was cleaned at the end of each day and the job was within budget and original estimate. The job resulted in consistent temperature control in the living space and more efficient delivery of heat to all rooms in the house, especially the long runs. I expect it to make a significant, positive impact on heating and cooling bills.

Product not as advertised. Contractor stated he sent Angie's List the correct photo, however, the wrong photo was posted with his add.

The cover did not fit over the stairway that went to the attic. The company professional but I am getting a refund.

We can't say enough good things about Bill Brown and Eco Energy Guard. We've been having lots of trouble with ice dams on the edges of our roof the last few winters, which indicated that too much of the house warmth was leaking into the attic and warming the snow on the roof. Also, last winter I noticed liquid water condensation on the rafters, which indicates that too much moisture is escaping through poorly sealed electrical conduits, the attic fan, the hose from the upstairs bathroom vent (which half the time was not connected to its exhaust pipe), etc. We were also completely fed up with the loose pink fiberglass insulation that caused me to itch and ended up everywhere whenever I needed to enter the attic. It was also clearly clumped in many places (and thus too thin in others). Bill has we think solved all our attic problems. Bill had never before removed old insulation, so this was new for him but he did a fantastic job using a giant vacuum to suck out all the loose fiberglass (and we have not found a single pink insulation blob anywhere, so his system was sealed very well). He and his partner spent the entire day on the job, and now that they are done the attic is very tidy, with the new insulation covered completely by the shiny reflective heat barrier material, which in the summer reflects heat up to keep the house cooler, and in the winter reflects heat down to keep the house warmer. We should not have moisture or heat escaping through openings, as Bill sealed those well, and the solar attic fan keeps the attic well ventilated so that heat does not build up there in the summer and moisture is vented to the outside effectively. We are looking forward to a warmer, less costly (in terms of propane), winter this year with no ice dams!

Friendly, nice people. Owner and assistant. Easy to talk with. The solar attic fan install went well, it looks good and works good. The cleanup after the attic work was sloppy and when I lifted the insulation found debris that was covered over. The basement radiant barrier insulation was installed in an awkward way and I spent considerable effort rehanging all of it. We initially questioned how it was being installed by closing off so much of the basement ceiling and they recommended to do it that way. By the end of the work, the basement looked restrictive with a low shining silver ceiling which felt very confined and the owner had left early. Electrical plugs, outlets and water pipes in the basement ceiling were covered over and by rehanging/re-stapling the insulation, all became accessible and the basement looked larger and more comfortable to be in. Plus I completed basement areas that were left undone. The owner and his partner both installed the radiant barrier with different techniques which made the basement look unprofessional we thought. Outside, expanding foam was used which they left stuck to the house and was visible. Considering I removed and re-installed most of the radiant barrier insulation and think I did a better install job then the company, I feel the radiant barrier is a great product that I overpaid for them to install.

Knowledgeable, prompt, cool-as-can-be. Bill was very responsive, professional, explained in great detail everything I asked about. When he came to do the work, both he and his coworker were very friendly, efficient and got the job seamlessly. They also helped me with something else that I asked about during the estimate visit, which was wonderful. I will hire them again as soon as I can.

They had to cut an access hole and framed it out nicely. Overall I was happy with the way things worked out.

Installation went well, Bill was on time, professional and easy to work with. I had him look at other insulation needs while he was here and decided to add new material in my basement and basement crawl space. Overall, great experience to date!

Everything was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the experience. The gentleman was very responsive, arrived on time, and did a good job with the installation. I have no complaints.

The owner Bill was knowledgeable and friendly. Communication by email was a little slow. Cost of inspection was very low and was not very detailed. This was more like a home consultation for only the products and services they offer.

The job was eventually completed satisfactorily. However, from the start we had trouble coordinating schedules. There was also some miscommunications on expectations for what was to be done. And there was a miscalculation of the materials needed to do the job, so that an additional visit was required to complete the job. The price was very good, and the workmanship was also good, but the level of professionalism was not what I was expecting from someone who came so highly rated on this site.
