From the time, I sent an email to Bill till the time he was here to discuss about the insulation needs, the whole experience was wonderful. All his responses were timely and he showed up exactly at the time he said he would. In fact, meeting Bill was the best part. He is very knowledgeable about the insulation needed. While he was out at our house to review the insulation needs, he did a thorough assessment and discussed the best options available. He also got me connected to a highly respected energy audit Company for detailed energy assessment. I would recommend him any day and would certainly use his service.

Bill was very responsive and advised us what work needed to be done in our attic and what was not necessary. Work was scheduled on short notice. The crew showed up on time and was finished in 3 hours after they fully cleaned up the work area.

The inspection and Audit was more of a quote than anything. We spoke about what could be done to better handle the insulation but at the end of the day I did not get to much out of it. No other work was done. I would have used the services if there was a real need.

Would hire this guy and refer him to anyone I know.

Bill set up an insulation day and time that was convenient for me. He and crew of 3 showed up on time and worked until the early afternoon. I made sure the basement was swept and rid of cobwebs so they wouldn't have to deal with those annoyances. Although the guys worked quickly and efficiently, along the way the doorbell wire was inadvertently stapled. When I contacted Bill about this situation, he returned to correct it. Although he couldn't find the problem he agreed that I call my electrician and he would pick up the tab. All in all I was very pleased with Bill Brown's professionalism and willingness to exit only when I was fully satisfied.

Great! Bill is very professional, he explained everything he needed to do and why, and gave me a detailed quote. His price was competitive with other quotes I received. The insulation was installed quickly and neatly.

Eco Energy Guard was professional from the beginning of the project until the end. They were timely in assessing the project, in providing a quote, and in doing the actual work. There quote was very competitive. The work itself, which spread over 5+ days, was well done. They were cognizant of the fact other people were using the church at the same time they were working and kept a clean enviroment as they worked.

Mr Brown literally has just left after completing a full attic/knee wall insulation of my home. I chose his company based on the great reviews on Angie's list.... Honestly Angie, you should have a category above A, because that rating does not truly represent the wonderful job and great experience I had with this company. My initial inquiry through the Angie site was promptly answered by Mr Brown. He came to the house within a week or so to provide an estimate and explain what he would do. He strongly suggested, and in fact required, an energy Audit to qualify for existing rebates, which was performed by CRI ( Competitive Resources inc); this was not only educational but provided a noticeable and immediate decrease in the drafts in my home after sealing cracks around window, sill and chimney, even before the insulation was installed. ( CRI was a great experience as well, with a lead technician, an assistant and a home inspector on the job for about 6 hours at a cost of $99!!, This is a service underwritten by UI and Energize CT that provides replacement of existing high energy use bulbs with energy efficient light bulbs, assessment of all the ways energy could be saved in the home, with a final home energy level rating and possible rebates for suggested upgrades.) After the energy audit was completed Mr Brown returned to the house today; just 30 minutes ago he left after completing sealing, and adding insulation of R41 and reflective insulation to the knee wall spaces. It took about 4 hours for my house which is overall small, about 1200 sf. They left the work area very clean. I very strongly suggest, based on the outcome in my home, that you have an energy audit; any insulation needs you may need, you will be doing yourself a great favor by contracting with EcoEnergy Guard. I am very interested to see how my energy bill will be affected next winter. I have a feeling, it will be a very pleasant surprise.

It is unbelievable. I didn't even recognize the room, it looks amazing!! They are very efficient in their time management of this work.

Went very well. Bill has been very reactive and was always nice on the phone. He came with 2 other colleagues to install insulation in our attic. The job was done in ~2h30 for ~500 sqft. We immediately felt the difference and I hope our oil bill will too :)

Bill returned my telephone call in a timely manner, examined the attic space, and explained various options at different price ranges. My impression is that he is fair and honest. Although he is usually busy, because the area to be insulated was not too large, I was able to have the work done just two days after receiving the estimate. I had the opportunity to briefly meet Bill and his two crew members after I arrived home from work. They all struck me as courteous and efficient. I am not mechanical but was impressed by the quality of workmanship -- it all looks very professional and what's more, my daughter and I noticed a difference in the temperature of the adjacent room almost immediately. I would recommend this company and am glad I used them, for the home improvement I received as well as peace of mind. I also very much appreciated that Bill made a return trip to my house to collect some debris that had been left in my driveway.

The guys from Eco did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves, vacuumed & mopped floors and they went above and beyond and even helped me get rid of some additional items since they had a dumpster at my house for their project.

Bill was great, honest and knowledgeable. He gave me choices and options and I was very happy with his work.

I have had a longstanding problem with ice dams on my roof. I asked Bill to evaluate this problem as I suspected inadequate insulation in my attic. Bill was easy to get in touch with. He answered his phone the first time I called. He set up an appointment for late in the day so I could meet with him after work. He even changed the time without a problem when I had to be a bit late. He took his time and evaluated my attic. He did not evaluate the problem from a distance. He spent a great deal of time crawling around in my attic, evaluating the current insulation and finding sources of heat loss. He took the time to explain his reccomendations and estimate. He gave me an "Angie's List" discount. Before insulation was added he foam sealed around areas where heat loss was happening (light plates, AC duct vents, bathroom fan duct vents, etc) as well as installing cannister light covers. He also redirected several bathroom vent lines to the center of the attic. Besides adding blown in fiberglass insulation he added R30 roll along the perimeter of the attic to hold back the blown in material to avoid interference with air flow. He made sure to cover the ac/forced air duct lines with as much insulation as was practicle. He created a walk way to my air handler. He installed an attic hatchway cover. He and his assistant did the job without any mess. They were very cordial to my wife. In addition to providing the service Bill arranged a home energy audit. This company spent the better part of a day doing a full home energy audit for $99. Many new light bulbs provided at time of audit. We were eligible for a rebate from the Eversource/UI insulation rebate program. Bill helped with the paperwork for this program. He has been easy to contact by phone and email for follow up questions. Overall a great experience. I would work with Bill/Eco Energy Guard again if I had additional insulation needs in my home. Really a very good experience.

I had a little trouble scheduling, he was going to try to cancel at the last minute, but I had left work early for it. He was able to adjust his schedule to do it.

It was a great experience. Bill was extremely professional and did a perfect job! I would definitelyy use his services again.

Overall went well. The first time he was scheduled to come he was unable to make it and didn't notify me until the night before via email. The service was great when we finally agreed on a date. I wasn't happy about tripping to get sold items that I had no use for.

He was great. Only one person came out to do the job. He was very nice and very thorough. He explained everything he was going to do. He was really easy to deal with. He called to let me know when he was coming.

We have a log home in East Hampton CT that we built almost 40 years ago. Last winter ice dams caused water to come into our house. Not knowing what to do we researched on the internet for the cause of the problem. My wife and I also called multiple contractors and had some come to our house to look at the situation. Bill had a unique technique for assessing the damage. He looked at the problem and tried to get to the root cause. Bill obviously knew how to correct the problem as he has done this type of work in the past. However, the methodology for choosing the solution varied to some extent on the conditions he saw. In my opinion Bill had the best solution. His solution was very reasonable from a cost perspective. I am 68 and my wife is 67 and neither one of us wants to get back on the roof and shovel. Our focus was that this had to be done correctly the first time. When the job was completed it was done in a professional manner.

Bill is a professional. I am sure that his suggestions do indeed create tremendous improvement. Unfortunately, I have a pretty modest income, so I am not able to hire him to implement some of these improvements. Perhaps I will be able to do this in the future. He did his best to lower the cost - which I appreciate.
