Went very well. Demonstrated product well, covered all costs, explained energy credit available and promptly scheduled time for the installation. Was on time for the installation, left the areas clean, was very personable and friendly as was his help. would highly recommend this company.

To have the inspection done was a 2 hour drive for the provider. He asked me to take pictures and he sent me a price of $1100. He had no intention of coming to do the inspection without a commitment to do the work. I paid for a full house inspection which was never done, I sent pictures of the garage which I think is not insulated well enough and he sent a price of $1100. Not at all what the ad said, I'd like a full refund.

As I indicated it went very well. The inspection was done promptly, the installation was done promptly and with attention to detail. Both the company rep and installer could not have been more professional. They clearly understand the meaning of excellence in customer service.

****UPDATE 10/3/12**** I'd like to respond to Bill's rebuttal, line by line: " Member purchased a big deal coupon Nov 16, which I contacted her the same day." No, he contacted me on February 2. "My daughter had to come with me.........church mouse." His daughter was, indeed, very well-behaved. "I inspected the home and gave her a quote." No, I had to pester him for a quote, which I didn't receive until March 5th (a month later.) "I followed up with her a week later. Unexpected issues came up and she would have to postpone the project. I told her that I would hold the quote for her till the hot weather hit. I came back out and had to re-adjust my quote due to access problems in another area of the home. She was in no rush because nothing would happen till the spring. " He didn't follow up until two weeks later, just to say he'd been busy; I didn't receive a quote until March 5; I was ready to do the project (NO discussion of postponing it); NO discussion of holding the quote until the hot weather hit; he never came back out at all - I only saw him one time. " She had vermiculite (asbestos) up there which is a health concern for the family which we would seal in." True "She called when she was ready, we came out on time and I was there to personally do the job with my curtious installer. I have all of this documented through past emails and would be happy to forward any of them. I even sent a follow up email thanking her for her business." Not true - I NEVER hired him or had any work done. I would like to see these supposed emails. I'm sorry to leave a negative review, because Bill is certainly a very nice person; however, I was really disappointed with the way he conducted business - based on all the glowing Angie's List reviews, I expected more. As I stated in my original review, his estimate was very brief and lacked any detail about materials, time, etc.; here is the email, word for word: "Sorry for the delay at getting back to you. To put the radiant barrier in the attic is not an easy job due to the slope of the roof and difficulty of just moving around up there as well as vermiculite issue. We would seal all that stuff up there with this product. I cannot get to the bedroom next to the access panel. Total investment is 1590.00 The insulation in the basement ceiling Totals 1345.00 Let me know. I can have it done for you this week. I will personally be there as well. This was a great company to work with from the very start. I was honest that I had started a project of installing the radiant barrier myself but had been unable to complete it. Bill came out to the house to give me an estimate. He called to confirm the appointment and to let me know he was on his way. We agreed on a price to finish the job, taking into account the square footage I had already DIY'ed and the material I had already purchased. He was knowledgeable about the old insulating material that was in the attic. I paid 1/2 of the total price as a deposit (by mail) when I made the decision to proceed, and the other 1/2 when the task was complete. The day before the installation, he called to confirm, and the morning of he arrived to get things set-up. I didn't have to do anything except open the door! Another gentleman arrived to do most of the work and he was very professional. He kept me updated on his progress throughout the morning and made sure to clean everything up when he was finished (returned the ladder to the garage, removed extra materials and trash, swept the floor). The second deposit was cashed promptly and Bill called to confirm that everything was satisfactory. And my dog seemed to like them (which is nothing something I can say for all contractors). I would recommend insulating your attic with Eco Energy Guard anytime!

Bill was very knowledgeable about his product. Because we didn't do our whole house (we only did the attic, storage area, and hot water heater), he was reluctant to give us the 10% Angie's List discount, but did give us a free attic door cover. When it came to installation, we were supposed to have it done earlier but a big customer had an emergency and we were pushed back a week or so. When Bill came to do the install, it was done quickly and professionally.

Perfect and flawless insulation and product! The products work, are very reasonably priced, and they are performing as they should, and I'm saving money....so I'm just thrilled. I have central air conditioning for summer and a great heating system for the colder months...but my home is way more comfortable and the heating and cooling systems are working so much more efficiently with the the installation of the radiant barrier insulation! Many friends and even my parents got radiant barrier insulation after I had mine installed and they're quite happy too!!!

Bought the Angie's list big deal for the energy inspection - Bill called me within a couple of days and made an appointment for the inspection. He showed up on time and started talking to me about the insulation and how it works. He answered all my questions and I felt I could ask as many questions as I wanted. Before I made my decision I asked him how much it would cost to get it done. He quoted the work and I agreed to move forward. On the day of the installation he showed up on time and got to work right away. His employee arrived a bit later and he was equally polite and respectful of my home. I was working from home on that day and they were careful not to disturb me. They both work fast and efficiently and left my home as neat as they found it, including vacuuming around the trap door to the attic. Very good experience overall - I already recommended them to some friends.

Our work was completed in two full days. Bill was present both days and he did alot of the work. Our home was not disrupted much at all. Bill was very concerned about our happiness with the work he was doing as i was present both days of the install. Each day the work was started and comp[leted neatly and orderly. The results: As my home has 6" well insulated exterior walls, and this winter has been one of the mildest winters on record here in MA. I can't say I've seen a huge decrease in my ulitity bills because they ARE much lower with a milder winter. But i can say we have noticed our heat comes on less frequent, and stays on 1/4 of the of the "usual" duration. That to me personally was HUGE. Because I've had sinus issues since we built this home. Now i can breath better, sleep better, and I can actually smell things now! I've not had clear sinuses for over a decade! We also noticed an immediate equalization between the temps upstairs and down. The Jacuzzi stays warmer longer, and the cold spots are gone, as well as the usual warmer spots in our home this sping are comfortable. I cant recomend Ego Attic Gaurds services strongly enough. Seems that energy prices are not going to come down anytime soon and this is probably the best investment in my home I've made to date. The only regret we have is that we wish we had not just painted the interior of our home this past summer as I'd of LOVED to have been able to use Eco Attic Gaurds newest product Ceramic Insulated Paint. If you are looking to build a new home I'd very strongly recomend using ECO Attic Gaurds radiant foil barrior on the exterior walls as well as the attic and basement. I wish that this product was available 16 years ago when we built our home.

They were going to put insulation in the attic and they showed what they had, but we decided to buy it elsewhere and installed it on our own because they were going to charge too much to install it. They did a good job of presenting their product. Their responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism were top-notch.

The prices were good. The product is fabulous. The day after he installed it, we could tell a difference in temperature already.
