Went well. Rain caused a couple hiccups but they came out on Saturday and Sunday to catch up. Had to call them back a couple of times after because of warped hand rail and they came back with no issue. Sandy, Morris and Persie were helpful and answered all our questions.

They replaced our deck and did a very nice job.

Morris was very professional and tried to keep me up to speed on the progress of the project. Minor delays but This is usual with subcontracting other proffesionals to do plumbing. In general it was a good experience.

The overall construction of the deck was fine.

Morris was slightly more expensive than the original contractor I was negotiating with but I decided to go with Katz Contracting as I felt he understands the deck business better and actually made very useful suggestions to me. He also has a very nice show room that we visited to selects the materials. The crew was very thorough and completed the job on time, I liked their craftsmanship and conduct, they went the extra mile to make sure the installation went smoothly and adjusted a few things on the way when a few hidden complications appeared. Very happy with my choice and would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone. UPDATE: When the job was almost done, a small project came up and the contractor gave me an estimate for (1 day job). I gave him a deposit and agreed that the job needs to be done by the end of the month (2.5 weeks time). After keeping the deposit for all this time, he called me and said that the work is more complex than he originally envisaged (shed doors replacement, not a rocket science) and he would like to send me the deposit back. Because of the precious time lost I now have to wait another 3 weeks before the job will be completed by another contractor. I therefore reduced the Punctuality rating and the Overall mark.
