ctArt called the same day we called him. He stopped by on his way home from another job that very day. He tried to email us our estimate (email didn't work), so he mailed us a hard copy on the estimate. We received his very professional estimate (it even had a picture of our home on it!) which totally outlined exactly what he would do; that he would be the one doing it; and what it would cost to do it. This was on a Wednesday, we called and accepted his estimate and he said he had an opening for this Saturday (someone had cancelled). We accepted. We had entirely forgotten we were due to be gone from 6:30AM until 3PM, we contacted Art explaining our dilemma (as we really wanted the windows done before out of town family arrives on Monday) and asked him if it would be okay if we got a friend to be here while he worked. He said that would be fine. Everything went beautiful. Our friend said Art was here promptly at 7:30AM (as arranged) and was done by 10AM. The windows were sparkling clean. Art's service was exemplary from the estimate to the finished job. First, he responded to my calls promptly. Within a few days of that initial conversation, he was at my home in Hamden, ready to do an estimate. He delivered that quote via e-mail by the next day. We confirmed the work date and time; and what an excellent job he performed. (One piece of advice: always schedule your window cleaning AFTER a power washing. I'm so glad I didn't make that mistake.) I have a 1500 square foot home, with many windows. From the attic to the basement, Art did a thorough, exact job. Not only did he clean the window glass, he washed the screens and cleared out the rails, wells, and gutters, too. He took special care to work in a clean, organized manner. I noticed he wore coverings over his shoes, so as not to track dust or debris around the house. Thoughtful. He also moved the furnishings back where they belonged, once he finished a set of windows. I'm astonished by how fresh and calm my house feels. This is one of the best house maintenance investments I could make. Now I can truly enjoy the quality of light in my home--no small thing as the winter months roll around. Some might think Art's price is high. I don't. For the labor and care he puts into his work, it's money fairly--and wisely--spent.

We have very difficult to clean windows. We have tried many times to clean them ourselves and each time ended up frustrated and disappointed with the results. The process was so labor intensive! We chose Art because of the great reviews on Angie's list and he did not disappoint. Our windows look incredible! They are beautifully clean and it makes every room look that much better when we walk in. Really they have never been this clean, ever! Art cleaned our windows over the course of two and a half days. He showed up exactly on time, worked hard and was very professional and friendly. He was very careful while working around our house. We are completely satisfied and will have Art clean our windows again in the future.

I had read many reviews about Art's work and everyone was well pleased, with the minor exception that he seemed to be so busy that he was hard to book. So imagine my surprise when I called about an appointment and was able to book a date the following week. He arrived at my door at exactly the agreed on time and proceeded promptly and efficiently to work. He was very careful about wearing protective booties in the house, used a tarp everywhere and even protected the walls from ladder scuffs with a towel on the ladder. He was very pleasant, chatted with me when I wanted to chat, but kept on working. He explained everything that he was doing, and that was important when it came to a few of our windows that had protective coatings and could not be razored as he normally does. He cleaned all the sills and did a wonderful job cleaning the tracks for the sliders on our porch. He removed all the screens, marked each one carefully so they would be returned to the right place and stacked them for me, since I did not want them put back in place. When he was done, he asked how the windows looked, and I jokingly replied that I couldn't tell, because I couldn't see them. Truthfully, they were the cleanest I had ever seen them. His price was very reasonable for the amount of work, and I could not ask for better results. Since that day, we have had a couple of storms, and the windows still sparkle. There are no spots or streaks visible. He is very busy, and I don't know if he needs more business, but I highly recommend him to any one looking for spectacularly clean windows.

This was a great experience! Art arrived at 7:00am and worked really hard until about 2:00pm. He cleaned every window and screen beautifully (we wish we had done this BEFORE putting our house on the market!). Really wonderful work! He removed each screen so that the windows would look great and took exceptional care in labeling each and every one so that they could be put back in place if the new owners desire. We would highly recommend Art to anyone who wants sparkly clean windows and screens. Just to add in an extra plug, he is a really nice guy and it was a pleasure to have him at our house. He was kind to our dogs and tried to keep it down so that I could get a couple of extra hours of shut-eye! early on a Sunday I will note that it took awhile to get him scheduled because he is so busy. He does a great job, so get him scheduled ASAP!!

It was such a pleasure having Art work in our house! He has such an upbeat attitude and pleasant personality and you can tell he just loves what he does. I never knew there could be so many different types of equipment for cleaning windows, but he is equipped with it all. We have lots of windows and some very high windows that had not been done in several years and he cleaned them to gleam -- not a spot or streak to be found. It was wonderful to have such a consummate professional work in our home and do everything he does in such a professional and polite manner. No one will show up but Art, and only Art, and we never thought we would be so looking forward to seeing our window cleaner next year:)

The provider, Art Hall, was professional and prompt right from the beginning. We contacted him for an estimate based on the information we saw on Angie's List. He responded promptly and took a look at our home within a few days. We received the estimate via email and it was detailed and clear. We thought the estimate was reasonable and decided to hire him. We agreed on a time and day convenient for both of us. He arrived on time and was very professional but friendly and hard working. We were very happy with how our windows looked after he was done. They were gleaming and seemed transparent they were so clean!! Art obviously loves his job and it shows in the outcome. We would definitely hire him again and recommend him to others.

My windows were a challenge both times he's cleaned them. The first time (2012), the windows still had factory glue on them and hadn't been professionally cleaned in over 5 years. He cleaned every one until they were so clear, you couldn't see the glass! This year, he cleaned our windows after we had stained our cedar, the windows were not in good shape as we had not taped over them. He again cleaned each one until they were beautiful. I work at home and he is so quiet, I don't even know he's here. He is friendly and professional as well. His prices are fair, I will continue to call him back to keep my windows clean.

We moved into a new home a few months ago. It's an older home and the previous owners have lived here for over 35 years. The windows were very dirty, inside, outside and in between. We found Art on Angie's LIst. In fact, he was the first service we've ever contracted on Angie's List. We were nervous about hiring someone we didn't know and having him in our home. His professionalism and attention to detail, immediately put us at ease. He was very responsive to emails, was able to assess the work and provide an estimate right away and didn't need to come into the home to do so. He arrived right on time the first day of service, explained how he would work, and kept to himself. My husband and I both work from home and he was very unintrusive. The work was more detailed than he originally thought, it took him a day and a half to complete. That said, he didn't change the estimate because of it. In fact, there were 3 windows that I told him we didn't need to worry about, so he subtracted the cost of those from the final bill. I would definitely work with Art again and I will recommend him to any of my friends. He is the very definition of a professional.

Art is fantastic--a true artisan! He is a one man band who came quite early in the morning on a Saturday and worked tirelessly until the job was finished in the late afternoon. He is an impeccable perfectionist and my windows and sills have never been cleaner. He fit me in when he had an incredibly long wait list because he knew I was having out of town guests the following weekend. I wish I could score him higher than an A because of his wonderful demeanor and professionalism.

The job Art did was unbelievable! we had two large bay windows that are original to a 1960 house. I have cleaned them any times myself but could not get them really clean. I came home from work today and they looked like new windows! I will definitely use Art again!! very professional!

We had put off having our windows and sliding doors cleaned, thinking we could handle it ourselves. Then we found ourselves with unexpected company arriving in 3 weeks. I had already researched on Angie's List and knew "Work of Art" had good reviews, so called Art Hall to see if he was available, but he was booked into July. I told him about my company deadline, and he came out the next Sunday morning to give us an estimate. He emailed me the estimate that afternoon, and said he could fit us in the following Saturday. He arrived at 7AM and worked non-stop until 2:40PM. Every window and door was left sparkling, inside and out. He moved any furniture himself and protected all nearby surfaces. All we had to do was clear away the small stuff.We were extremely happy with Art's work and will have him come out every year from now on.

On time, works quickly, very pleasant

I found Art on Angie's List and contacted him by phone. He called back to say that he would be by that week to provide an estimate and that I didnt' need to be home. Very professional on the phone and I had looked at his website. He called to leave a message when he'd seen the house and to get an email address for the estimate. He sent a very well organized estimate and alerted me that we had Artillery Fungus on serveral windows (typical for windows near mulch beds). He also included links to learn about the fungus. We had compared his offer with two other companies and it was in the ballpark. We were swayed by his professionalism and the strong reviews on Angie's list. We called him to accept and selected a date. The day before he calle to confirm our appointment and the earliest time he could arrive. He showed up on time and got to work right away. He needed to clean the interior side of the windows at first and was an efficient, thoughtful and careful worker, taking time to contain any dirt and moisture. When he finished, he moved outdoors and cleaned the solar panels and windows. It took him almost all day, but the windows looked great, better than they had ever looked since the day they had been installed. We had no issues with him. He was very quick to explain what he was doing, where there were any issues and his approach. He even has his own shoe-covers that he wore inside the house to protect our floors. Nothing but satisfaction on our end and we will definitely hire him again next year.

He does real good work. He even cleans the ledges and all the dust, he does everything. He comes by himself and he also puts on the boots to come in the house to make sure everything stays clean. He does a real nice job. I have also had him clean gutters for me before on another house of mine. I am just very impressed.

Art arrived right on time as scheduled. He was polite and explained what he would do and asked permission to begin on the 2nd floor. He worked efficiently and completed the job in about 4 hours. The windows look spectacular, well beyond my expectations.

I have never seen a more remarkable result. After decades of window cleaners, Art showed how utterly beautiful clean windows can be. They just glow and sparkle. I don't know how he does it. He is also very knowledgeable about the kinds of windows and glass including how the glass is made. Knowing this enables him to maximize the effectiveness of what he does. He gives new meaning to professionalism. He is very communicative and punctual.
