Morell Cabinets of Bristol, CT. was contracted by our general contractor, PHI Construction, to make and install new kitchen cabinets as part of an entire home rennovation project. From the outset, Morell performed shoddy, unprofessional work. Initial installation of its cabinets was performed haphazardly and incompletely. Nail holes, uneven edges and doors and other finishing issues were numerous. Morell had to return several times with new, rebuilt portions of its work. This caused serious delay to our project. Fast forward to March, 2013. The cabinet doors beneath our sink are coming apart. Paint is peeling and glueMy d joints are coming apart. My wife and I have placed no fewer than 15 calls to Morell Cabinets, leaving voice messages. Only ONE call was returned some two weeks ago. The owner promised to call us within a few days to set a date for coming to our home to remove the faulty cabinet doors for repair. He has, as of this writing, FAILED to call back. We have placed at least TEN more calls to Morrell. NONE has been returned. Morrell Cabinets is a shoddy, unprofessional and deceptive company. We urge anyone considering doing business with this company NOT TO!

Our overall experience with Rob Morrell and his installation staff were positive. Whether dealing with contractor issues along the way or a snag during installation due to an uneven kitchen floor, we communicated, worked it out, and came to a solution. The decorative molding that his installation crew built to cover the floor imperfections was brilliant. I wouldn't hesitate to refer Morrell Cabinets to friends, family, or purchase cabinets from Rob again in the future because he is just that good. My only frustration and wish would be an improvement in and better accessibility by phone and/or email.
Description of Work: Morrell Cabinets provided the cabinetry for a remodel in my home that included: 2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, and beverage area. Owner, Rob Morrell stands above the rest with his skills and desire to provide the homeowner with a product they love. His knowledge about woods, stains, and design give testament to his longevity in this business. The workmanship, color, and styles of our cabinets were spot-on and what we expected. Actually, our kitchen cabinets turned out BETTER than I envisioned. GORGEOUS! Rob tackled an unconventional closet area in our laundry room and created cabinetry that fits like a glove. The man clearly knows his stuff!
