Description of Work: Jim is a great plumber. He is responsive and always available in an emergency. I can't remember the last service he did but he addressed it quickly. I've used him for years. He fixed a problem that was a flaw with my original plumbing install. 3 other plumbers came and he was the only one who identified the original issue and fixed it correctly. I am due to call him for another service because I know I can trust him and he is very reasonable for the work he does.

Description of Work: Wanted new comfort height toilet and matching new sink in master bathroom. Also needed a new pipe for secondary bathroom on first floor and new washers in the hot/cold handles of sink, and had shut off valve put in under sink in kitchen for hot water as well as a new faucet on top.Since this outfit was out a year before to fix the old toilet and base on floor in the master bath, I figured that the replacement of toilet should be quick. Also, sink standard size in vanity, ( no need for drilling/cutting of the vanity). the plumber was in that bathroom for almost 8 hours (I still can't figure out what he was doing). I asked to have the same comfort height toilet as was put in the upstairs bathroom last year, but did not get the same brand. Sink was put in and he put clear silicone around outer edge of sink that looked like a first grader did the job. He said he would come back the next day to scrape the excess off. (When I have caulked anything, I clean up right away so it doesn't dry and make it very hard to remove). Reason he had to come back is after doing this bathroom for 8 hrs, he moved onto the kitchen sink. After arriving at 9am, he was still in my home at 8pm. I finally asked him when he was going to leave, and he told me he would keep working until done. (He was as slow as molasses). After this response, I told him to leave then as it was very late and I couldn't stand him being in my home any longer. Next day he showed up and went into the bathroom (this was after he went into my bedroom without my permission to get a chair to sit on....) and proceeded to "scrape" the massive amount of excess silicone at the edges of the sink....mind you I found out he was going to charge me by the hour for this--considering it was his blunder, I was very upset by this and told him to stop. Also in the short time he had been doing this with a razor blade, he scraped the vanity up pretty badly. So all he did was the metal pipe in the second bathroom. Charged me for 1 1/2 hrs and the bill for the supplies was $80.00.!!! He charged me for a piece for the kitchen sink that I didn't request as I had asked for an adaptor to put on an aerator. He proceeded to tell me that he couldn't find one in the "boxes" he searched in at the plumbing store. I went to True Value in NB after he left and they had 6 different kinds of them on a wall display from plastic to stainless steel (the most expensive at $2.50). They wouldn't take back the things he brought out that I didn't want. Called the company after he left and demanded that someone with experience come out and redo the sink in the bathroom. The plumber who came out actually had to remove the sink, scrape all the silicone off the sink and the vanity and start over. (No charge for this service). This time it was done correctly and beautifully. Would not recommend them at this point. Do not remember the name of the plumber, but I thought unprofessional--pants hanging down to mid thigh with "crack" showing all day, and he took my radio from the kitchen without my permission and used it all day, constantly telling me how he loved certain music and wasting more and more time doing this.Didn't even know this was my radio until he left and he left it in the bathroom, that's when I realized that it was mine. Also, as I said, went into a closed bedroom to get a chair to sit on without asking for my permission which I thought was totally unprofessional and rude. Also had to go back to supply store 3 times for parts (charging all the time for this...one time he was gone for almost 2 hours!!!!) I would think a professional would know what to get at the supply store in one trip. Also made a mess on the floor in the bathroom and kitchen floor with grease and the bits and pieces of old caulking removed from the sinks and toilet. In the kitchen, had to remove caulking from around the new faucet for about a week as it kept oozing out.

Description of Work: I used Rybczyk a few years ago to move an oven gas line in a kitchen. His quote was reasonable, and a little under 2 others I'd called- he did the job for approx. $250. I called again recently at 7:30am with a backed up tub in a tenant apartment. He had someone here by 8:30am as promised and it was fixed in 1.5 hours- involving cutting out and replacing the old cast iron trap and pipes under the tub (in a basement crawl space), for a price of $275. Rybczyk is punctual on returning\answering calls, showing up, and performing work. They work fast and are very professional. I feel comfortable using them and will continue using them.
