 + 0 moreContractor painted the entire exterior portion of a 4 BR house with a large portion done during a rainy, humid period of the season. The paint cracked and peeled on one portion about 7 months later. When he was called about the problem, it took about 5 weeks for him to come to the house to examine the problem. He stated that while the timing of painting at or near the time of rain should not cause paint to fail in this manner (rather he believes it was a problem with the wood itself), he promised he would correct the problem. After over 3 months, contractor has yet to firm up a day to make the necessary corrections. He has failed to return several calls. Incidentally, he also used a subcontractor to do the carpentry work which incurred long delays due to the subcontractor disappearing for weeks to work on other projects out of town.
Description of Work: Exterior painting for our home including garage, trim and siding. Side job of carpentry on exterior of home done with a subcontractor.
