Standard was very responsive and answered all of my questions. Would recommend to others.

It has been great. The cost is about 22 dollars a month. We've put an addition to the house on since then, and they sent someone out to add the new room to the system. I would highly recommend them.

Just moved to New Haven and my house needed an alarm system. Called Standard Security Systems and got a quick response and fair quote for installation and service. Also talked to a national competitor but was completely turned off by their "hard-sell" tactics. I got good advice from the Sales Rep, have been treated well every time I call into the office and the alarm tech did a great job with the installation. Highly recommend!

I have a security system that isn't activated. I called them since it started making noises one day, despite not being a subscriber. I was willing to pay for a person to come over and check it out. Since I wasn't a subscriber, they couldn't dispatch someone for me. But he was quite nice and told me what the probable cause of the issue was over the phone and described how to address it. He also fielded further questions and described how the system works in general.

** Update 07/Aug/2013 ** Standard securities contacted me to try to resolve my problem. They end up reimbursing me for the costs I did not agree with. They apologized and explained me why they charged what they did but they understood my frustation and made things right. I am satisfied with the resolution to my problem and will give Standard Securities a second chance. **************************** I bought a house that already had all security hardware installed in the house. The previous owner used Standard Security so i called them in order to buy their service. The sales rep advised to put 3 more windows sensors at a cost of USD 95 each and first one for free. Ok. Installation day.... The technician said that the control panel was not working and that would need to be replaced at a cost. Also that the sensors needed a wireless receiver that needed to be installed at a cost as well. After negotiating they end up charging me USD 195 for the panel + wireless receiver. The problem is. According to their website for new customers installation and basic hardware is free (this includes the panel and 2 windows/door sensors). So i end up paying for something i was suppose to get for free (i should have paid for only 1 sensor. USD 95). I complained with the sales rep and customer service but no luck. I end up paying almost USD 400 for something that should have cost me only USD 95. And even worse the sensor cost around USD 10 in the internet... Should have had bought it and installed myself. Well. I signed a 3 years contract. So I will have to wait 3 years to change to a different company

The sales rep. came the day after the call, whereas other companies had a long lead time for appointments. Installation was prompt, the installer pleasant, efficient and well informed.

Their service is fine. I have never had a problem with them. They address whatever problems you call them about seriously. They always follow up with you.

The service has been excellent. I was really pleased with their installation and have been happy with the security system for four years. I had an issue with billing, and they stuck with me throughout and their customer service was great in getting the issue resolved.

Everything went fine. The installer set up the system. The installation was done so that it is non-obtrusive. He cleaned up after the installation was finished. He showed me how to operate the system. It works well. When I returned home from a trip and didn't shut the system off quickly enough, the company called me in seconds to verify that it was me in the house and not an intruder. I feel that the system is effetive and easy to operate. Everyone I have had contact with has been knowlegeable, polite, professional and helpful.

After vandalism to my car in the driveway and on the recommendation of the police, I sought information and an estimate to install several security cameras. The first appointment on any weekday was 10:00 AM. The scheduler was firm but would see if an earlier appt. was possible on Saturday. At my insistance, we made a 9:00 AM appt. for Saturday. The technician, for lack of a better term, apologized for arriving ten minutes late. I explained the vandalism, my needs and we looked at the outside of the house. We wandered around the inside of the house, looking a possible camera placement. We sat down, he explained some possibilities and what his company could offer. He took notes, wrote down my contact information and left. The process took 45 minutes. I made it clear in the two follow up phone calls made by a Standard Security Sytems scheduler that I didn't receive an estimate. She promised to follow up, yet I never received an estimate or any written material.

They came back out and upgraded our system a year ago. The technician was great, very thorough and we haven’t had any problems!

They did great! They did have a nice payment plan that spread out the payment over three bills (about), and we have really been happy with them!

It was awesome! Their install techs were great as well as their customer service representatives. Everything has been good so far!

They work turned out fine. They will be coming back soon to install new windows. They showed up on time and did a great job!

Their prices are decent and if the alarm goes off accidently, they call right away and I have no complaints.

It took about 4 hrs for the install. The tech was very knowledgeable and got everything working.

They do not sell hard and they had the lowest initial cost and had the most economical installation cost. The installers definitely knew what they were doing. I was also able to test the system a couple of times. I think they are doing an excellent.
