Scheduled the appointment a month ago and they showed up when they said they would and cleaned the furnace. This is our 3rd season with Standard. They may not have the lowest oil price out there but they are always responsive when you call whether it is a Sunday night or regular business day.

They offered discounts for service packages along with the estimate. They were very prompt and I liked that they are a local company.

We've had a good experience with the company thus far. It's been responsive, and it's doing a good job. However, it has made a few mistakes in the past. One such time was when our home's smoke detectors were going off. The company sent a technician when we called, and he ran a gamut of inspections yet found no issues. Although as the technician was leaving, he asked if we had a whole house attic fan, and we replied in the affirmative. He then diagnosed this as the cause saying that the fan is powerful enough to suck the smoke from the furnace if enough windows in the house aren't open.

Standard Oil is easy to deal with and very reliable. I am still using the company.

New to homeownership I was a bit anxious about making choices such as a home heating vendor. But I made a few calls, checked online, and got a good feeling when speaking with Barbara at Standard Oil. She explained my options thoroughly and there was no pressure to decide anything. When I was ready I called back and pulled the trigger. I have had no regrets about going with Standard Oil. Last winter was not particularly cold so I feel that we didn't spend as much as we might going forward, buy I locked in a good (all things considered) price in July 2011, and have done so again this year. Hopefully this year will also be relatively mild, but this is out of everyone's control. All in all, Standard has been pleasant to deal with and reliable in every way. I have confidence in them, and that helps me sleep at night.

I like that they are prompt, honest and their prices are reasonable. I will continue to use Standard Oil.

There's been no problem with oil delivery, however service has always been lacking. Their technicians do not seem to be able to figure out a problem the first time out and they do not communicate from one visit or technician to the next, so a new technician has NO background or information on our systems or even the specific problem we are trying to fix. The summer is almost over. At the beginning of the summer I told customer service that I needed a new drip pan because I had water around the base of the a/c unit. I remembered that a technician who came last year said the model was discontinued and would need to be researched, which I asked him to do, but he never did. This summer, the second technician came while I was at work and took our filters because he said they were dirty. He also said we couldn't run the a/c without the filters. (It was during a heat spell, so we couldn't use our system during the hottest part of the summer. Still not sure what he was thinking.) We finally got the filter more than a week later after enduring 85 degree heat in the house during that time. (Of course the initial problem of the drip pan was not addressed.) Can you believe that 5 technicians have been out this summer and the last one said I needed a new drip pan? We told him to order one 4 weeks ago and guess what? I placed a call TODAY to inquire about the status of the order and the customer service representative told me she didn't have any information about it and someone would call me back. I was shocked that noone has yet returned the call. lol Our a/c has been off for more than 1/2 of the summer. I am no closer to resolution than I was last fall! I know you are wondering why we have put up with this so long. It is because I've been too busy to do the research to find a new company. I've also been hoping that I'd finally get a technician who would be sharp and accountable and finish the job. Tonight I was frustrated enough to write my first ever review, so I am optimistic that tomorrow I will actually spend the time to research alternatives and make a new choice. I'd love to have working a/c next summer!

They provide the oil on an as needed basis, especially in the winter months. They have been nice. They are very responsive. However, I had a dispute with them regarding a bill. They said that I didn?t pay for something and my husband now has to actually make a copy of the check that I had sent them, in order to prove to them. They haven?t called me back regarding that and it is a little annoying. I will continue to use them in the future.

I started with them in November and they come every month or every six weeks depending. I have a service contract with them. The contract guarantees the price for a year and guarantees any work that needs to be done on the furnace. The customer service people that I have talked to on the phone have been very professional and very friendly. They are easy to talk to. The delivery guys have always been here on time and I haven't had any problems with them. Their price is competitive.

Standard Oil is excellent! They'll come at all hours of the night, if you don't have any heat. They are very reasonably priced. The billing department is really good about working with you, if you have a problem with paying your bill. It is a very good company. They do what they say they are going to do.

Standard Oil put in our new furnace and they did a good job. Everything went very well and we were pleased with the way they finished the job and the service we got.
