Description of Work: I use Standard for regular oil delivery during the heating season and for annual equipment check-up/service. Delivery is always timely with no problems. But where Standard excels is on the maintenance/service side of the business. Their technicians are professional, seem to be more knowledgeable than techs working for their competition. I do think Standard is high on pricing, wish they would reward for loyalty rather than offer promotions to new customers.

Description of Work: Service person showed up OK, but office did not respond to question about a repair being part of the annual service contract. Service person gave a very high quote and said it would be more if we did not do it while he was there for annual cleaning.

Description of Work: Last year (2013/2014 Winter) was my first year in a new house in Stamford, and I'd never bought heating oil before. I chose Standard because they were there during my inspection and seemed like a good company. Overall, they were nice and professional, and the first year, to get me in the door, they offered me substantial new customer discounts. But the second year, those discounts went away, and their price was SIGNIFICANTLY higher, so I chose to shop around and ultimately chose another company. So my main complaint with them was that I did not feel like a valued customer. I would have liked some of the same consideration or price breaks I received as a new customer to keep me coming back to them as a repeat customer.

Description of Work: Dealing with customer service and billing issues are a nightmare. Delivered $750 worth of home heating fuel that I specifically asked they NOT do then they were completely inflexible with payments.

Description of Work: They delivered heating oil. They delivered the oil at a time when we had requested them not to do so. Since we sold the house before the winter arrived, we paid $2000.00 for oil that we didn't use.

Description of Work: Called to get a quote on connecting my A/C compressor to my A/C coil. They told me that I needed to be a oil buying customer. Great way to get new business!
