CHAGAS PAINTING

Thought I negotiated a good price only to find that things I assumed were included were not, such as house shutters and 2 coats on back stairs. If you use this provider, check the written contract carefully, because he will absolutely refuse to do any extra without a crazy markup. The two crew members did a fairly good job but did not work very efficiently. They started scraping one side of the house and then moved to the other side. Then they would start painting trim in front and then put the first coat on somewhere else. They were on premises a total of 9 days (and the weather was fair the whole time). I was told it would take a week. They could have finished in six, I believe. We are pleased with the results, but I had to pull teeth to get them to do the underside of the back stairs and the winter inserts to our storm doors.

While th epaint job was fine, the carpenter Chagas engaged to do the repair work was a rip-off. Finally came to agreement on repairs and the cost of repairs (after the home had already been power-washed and scraped), and some of the repairs were not completed as agreed. Not sure if it was Chagas or the carpenter, bu they blew the circuit in our garage and it cost me over 4100 to repair. In addition, one year later, the paint is already starting to peel. I have tried to contact Chagas several times to see if he would honor his warranty and he has not returned any of my messages. Stay away. the low cost of the paint job will come back to haunt you.
