Description of Work: I hired One Stop Home repair to renovate TWO bathrooms. The owner and his team did an excellent job and produced beautiful results with quality but modest materials (due to my budget). The job was completed in a timely manner and the job site was left very clean. One Stop Home Repair listened to my budget concerns and gave me the lowest price both times. I plan on using their services for future projects.

Description of Work: Derrick and his team retiled a bathroom floor, vented a dryer, painted 2 bathrooms, refinished wood floors on 2 stairways and in the kitchen, and fixed a few other minor items here and there. They were absolutely wonderful! The work was top notch and everyone who came into the house was very professional, neat, and tidy. Derrick is very capable and seems able to do most things. I Highly recommend Derrick and One Stop Home Repairs.

Description of Work: Derrick made an appointment to come and look at 2 jobs. One installing a fence and the other replacing a door frame removed for the delivery of a large appliance. Had difficulty finding the house but after looking at the jobs needed to be done said he would e-mail an estimate that evening or the next day. When we didn't hear from him after a few days we contacted him but he didn't seem toointerested in who I was but after a few reminders said he would again get us the estimate by the end of the day. As of 7/5/2013 have never heard from him.

Derrick came, looked at what he needed.to see and said he would give us an estimate. We never got the estimate so we called him. He said he emailed it. we said we never received it and to use another email address. still we did not receive an estimate.

Description of Work: There was one appointment scheduled with the owner Derick and he never showed up. I got in touch with him one more time and there was no appointment made-we never met to schedule any work to be completed! One Stop Home Repairs is not a company I would use!

 + 0 moreI emailed Eric a couple of days ago to inquire if he'd travel from Norwalk to Monroe, if he could do the list of chores described above, and if he was reasonable and available. He said yes to all. We made an appointment for days away, but then he called and said he could come sooner if my schedule allowed. He came on time and did a great job at all the wide range of chores I had for him to do. I was very satisfied all around.
Description of Work: Removed satellite dish, planed sticking doors, hung bookshelves, repaired bulletin board, fixed sticking drawer, repaired and installed a window screen, added RAM to old computer to restore adequate speed.

 + 4 moreThey started on the day they said, and worked 3 weeks straight, including Sat's and Sun's in order to beat the cool weather. The amount of repair needed exceeded what any of us expected, but they did not cut any corners(did the extras without being asked, or increasing price). They also did things I didn't expect(sanded and rehung all the French doors so they opened and closed easier; got all windows{including some original from 1906}to work, painted a section of fence near garage to match trim). Quality and attention to detail very high. Eric also did some handyman work for me including sealing Bilco doors, repairing a desk, fixing light fixtures, connecting the new TV/DVD/Cable. Kevin(head painting guy)was incredibly skilled, and was on site every day, along with 3 to 5 other workers. We picked the highest of our 3 bids, but think we got good value for our money given all the work that was done.
Description of Work: Exterior Painting, window/trim/sill repairs for 3 story stucco house and detached garage/coach house. House had not been painted in 13 years and needed substantial prep work and repairs. They removed, repaired, and painted shutters. Removed and reinstalled all outside lighting and gutters so they did not get paint spattered.

 + 6 moreFrom the moment we contacted Eric we found him to be professional, responsible, knowledgeable (about everything in the home), reliable. and trustworthy. We felt comfortable leaving a key for him each time that he came to our home. He has been to our home 3 or 4 times and we would not hesitate to use him whenever we need work done in our home. I have no hesitation recommending him for anything that is needed in the home.
Description of Work: Purchased and installed a garbage disposal and ceiling fan. Repaired the closet organization system in master bedroom closet. Rewired all wiring for our cable system.(The cable company sent 2 repair/technicians to respond to the problems we had and neither were successful. Hung a very heavy mirror(2 other people had difficulty doing this). Repaired electric garage door opener. Installed mailbox. Designed and installed outdoor lighting including lights at the end of the driveway, on the walk and on the deck. Several days after completing all of this work, we awoke to serious plumbing problems and we called Eric. He came to the house, worked for several hours on the problems, referred us to another company because of the seriousness of the issues and returned to work alongside the other men to ensure that our problems were solved.

Description of Work: We needed a number of small jobs done: tiles replaced, drawer runners replaced, doors to be planed. Eric is knowledgeable and professional. He even came back to re-do a job that was not up to his standards--without our making the request. In other words he has his own high standards and follows through on them. He is creative in his solutions and is willing to suggest his own ideas which you are free to accept or reject (I accepted them and I'm happy I did). He arrived exactly when he said he would. His estimate was very reasonable and was exactly what I paid. I highly recommend this company!
Description of Work: I had a wide range of items - repaired 2 toilets. Fixed stall shower door that 2 other handymen could not figure out how to repair. I wanted a kitchen light fixed, and he suggested replacing it with a ceiling fan and light and now I am in love with the new fixture. Replaced and painted rotten wood on outside of house. Fixed lots of loose shelves so they can now hold things. Removed bulb that had broken off in a socket. Fixed outdoor step railing. Repaired cracks in driveway.
