Description of Work: I had wanted him to come over to do evaluate and give an estimate on the job that was needing to be done on the church.

Description of Work: Installed new electrical circuit and outlet for washing machine.

Description of Work: I hired Robert Salg (his business name is RJS Renovation and Repair) to do repairs to a condominium my son and daughter-in-law had just purchased. The work included carpentry, installation of a dishwasher, and a wide variety of tasks generally associated with improving a somewhat neglected condominium created about 25 years ago by rebuilding the interior of a then 95 year old building.

Description of Work: Taking out an old over-the-range microwave and installing new one; hanging a dozen or more different items (woodcarvings, art, decorative pottery and mirrors, bulletin board, clock, etc.) on thick old plaster walls; installing new wall lamps; building and installing a gate at the top of stairs to a deck (to keep dogs in); re-caulking windows and nailing down flashing of windows where needed.

Description of Work: I've used RJS Renovations (Bob Salg is the owner) a half dozen times or so over the past 6 months and he's perfect for picky people like me. I've had RJS do everything from concrete work (new sidewalk) to mechanical (plumbing) to flooring (replacing damaged floor tiles) to auto repairs.

Description of Work: I first contacted Bob in early Dec. 2011. He came the next day, exactly on time, to view all the tasks we needed done. He started the very next day, and in the first hour had completed nearly everything! Bob has a history of commercial construction experience, has common sense, an incredible work ethic and is honest and on time. In short, we could not have asked for anyone better. I was looking for a handyman and Bob is definitely that, but better, he is a craftsman. Our jobs were small but many and as varied as you can imagine. Once we got hold of Bob, we asked for more and more things fixed and our association lasted into early this month. Among the first things we wanted done: fixing loose legs on 2 chairs and a table,putting a modular desk back together, figuring out how to close a gap between a newly installed stove and the kitchen wall plus installing stainless steel on the wall behind it, fixing a hole underneath the kitchen sink cabinet, sawing off the bottom shelf of a set of wall cabinets, installing undercabinet lighting and tapining and plastering the hole in the wall left by the electrical connection he also did,and figuring out how we could get some existing too-wide bookshelves into a space against the diningroom wall that now look like they were built-in. Bob seems to be able to fix and/or build almost anything. The only job he tries to stay away from is painting because that work is not representative of his commercial experience and his own skills don't meet his very high standards! I'm sure I'm forgetting lots of other jobs -he did another masterful taping job in our livingroom after we got a new flatscreen tv that we had to hide the electrical work inside the wall-but his last one was working outdoors fixing two large fence panels and setting the posts in concrete after a tree had fallen on top them.
