From the very beginning of the planning process to the finishing touches, Josh and his amazing team went above and beyond expectations to make sure that our second-level full dormer, including adding a bathroom and working with a wonky roofline, was perfectly built. I heard about how contractors are unreliable, so I was cautious and did my research thoroughly. Josh Onofrio and Total Construction LLC came highly lauded. Josh is a local contractor in the Hamden/Branford area, doing this work all his life. Josh was super thorough, clear, and upfront about the process. Their prices also put a bigger company to shame when quoting the job. When the permits cleared, their crew was promptly on time every day, through sun, wind, rain. I kid you not - they were better to getting to work than I was! Josh's crew, Carl, Will, and Tee are amazing people who were respectful of our home and I consider family now. I recommend them to family and friends. You'd be lucky to get into their busy schedule.

Hired Onofrio's to complete a gut renovation - new floors, new bathrooms, kitchen, painting - in a condo I hadn't yet moved into. Workers would simply not show up for an entire week, with no explanation. That happened repeatedly over the SIX MONTHS it took to complete this job. Tiling work was excellent, but all other work was sloppily done and I had to demand that they re-do. I will never use this company again.

They came in the winter to shovel off my roof and they had to come back to repair damage to the shingles tht someone else had caused. Due to the ice damage, water had started leaking and they took it off and also checked for mold. They are pretty good and not cheap. The current job is taking longer than it should. The person says that he will be here and he does not show up. When I had to call him in the winter when I had lots of snow, he came out immediately.
