Be forewarned ... very, very, slow sales process. Only one sales person for all residential work, and he either is too busy or does not seem to want the work. Seldom returns phone calls. Faxes quotes without telling you that they are coming (or checking to see if they arrived). Email mailbox is not regularly monitored. My first quote was in March, it is now the end of August, and we still have not started. If you are in a hurry, you should try somewhere else. Prices are good, and I had work done by McDonald 20+ years ago and was very satisfied. Sales person will not return phone calls. Talked to owner today. Incorrectly said that I was requesting too many changes to work scope. I said no ... the sales person did not thoroughly identify work needed (like installing vent duct work for a new ceiling fan), and removed items from March quote that needed to be added back. To make a long story short, the company does not want my $20K remodel, and finally said so. A wasted 6 months. If you choose to do business with McDonald, you will need to keep close check on waiting for call backs. Take their non-response as the level of interest in your business. They are busy, and with only one residential sales person, your job's priority may not be their priority. It is unfortunate, since their prices were very fair. This experience is very different from our past experience 20+ years ago (a total kitchen remodel) where I was VERY satisfied.
