 + -1 moreProvided a quote on time, was able to save me money on a boiler that had was on special, presented several boiler options, project stayed on cost as quoted. Walked me through the inspection and instillation process and made sure I was without hot water got only a day. Tom was on time, cleaned up job site and removed old boiler and tank without issue.

 + -1 moreI couldn't be more satisfied. Everything went well. They arrived promptly after my call, diagnosed the problem, and started the new installation. There was a hiatus for a few days while I put in new tile to replace the old tile that couldn't be removed in one piece. I called them this morning and Tom arrived about an hour later to finish the job. I've been using F&W since the 1970's for plumbing, furnace replacement, and water heaters and everything they've done for me has been to the highest standard. I'm completely satisfied. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of work they do.
Description of Work: Installed a new shower and bath control in the bathroom. The old one couldn't be repaired.

 + -1 moreI couldn't be happier with the work performed by Fitzgerald and Wood. I have never trusted a contractor so much. Tom has both the knowledge and professionalism that you don't see very much these days. He advised us throughout and did an excellent job. Since we had other contractors doing work in the house, it was important he met our schedule and he did. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work and will always use Fitzgerald and Wood for our plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Converted home from electric to gas heat and installed new hot water heater. Also ran gas line for stove and installed dishwasher.

Description of Work: Changed main water line water filter. Was very good, but the price was 20.00 more than the plumber I had last year. Also, price to change outside water valves seemed very expensive.

 + -1 more.The company responded to our request in a few days, which I thought was reasonable because we did not have an emergency need for service. The plumber who did the work came at the promised time, was courteous, and left our kitchen clean after he did the work.
Description of Work: Removal of a broken garbage disposal in our kitchen sink and restoring plumbing under sink to be like it was before the disposal was installed.

 + -1 moreVery happy with the removal and installation. No complaints. The installer actually increased the water temperature a tad and we like it better. Not much to say about good work.
Description of Work: When my hot water heater sprung a leak I had a big mess on my hands. I needed to get it replaced as soon as possible. I shut off the water to the old heater which eventually stopped the leak from continuing. But of course no hot water. I checked Angies list. The first plumber I called did not answer so I called Fitzgerald & Wood. It was in the late afternoon and they said they could pick up a new hot water heater the next morning and get it installed. I gave them the model number of the one I had so they could match the specifications. The next morning they showed up...removed the old water heater and installed the new one. A couple of guys. One was there to help with the heavy lifting. After the old one was out and the new one was in place one of the guys left and the remaining guy finished the installation. I have a gas water heater. The men were very polite. Very professional. I didn't think the price was bad at all especially considering they came through on very short notice. This was the first time I used Angie's list and while I was skeptical at first about subscribing to the service having a good plumber fix a major headache in short order at a fair price made it all worth it.

Description of Work: I used Fitzgerald & Wood Inc. in March of this year for all the plumbing work for me, which included the toilets, tubs and the showers. They also did some drain cleaning.
