Plumbing and carpentry repair. Both were done perfect.

It was a very difficult space to work in and he had to solder many joints to get the pipes around the dated plumbing in the wall.

Addie did a great job! He listened very carefully to what I wanted and did exactly that! He was very punctual, friendly, efficient and careful. He also cleaned up well (and it was a really messy job due to the nature of what we were doing) when he had finished which to me is a wonderful thing, since so many construction/handymen don't do that.

Mr. Ashma had done a small job for me before and I was impressed with his punctuality and professionalism. These two recent jobs were both very different and yet he did them both in a few hours and they were exactly what I wanted. He even came back the next day for final touchup. He had to wait for the vanity to dry before that could be done. I plan to use this company for several other projects in my home.

Provider was very prompt and courteous. He was able to find the problems and worked diligently until everything was working to my expectations. He worked very hard to make me sure I was pleased.

Adie was very professional. He responded my my many (!) email questions promptly, thoroughly and courteously. I had questions about the type of sink, length etc. He had a change of schedule and was able to come earlier which was great. He did the work well, cleanly and promptly. It was a great experience.

I purchased a deal for two hours of plumbing service. Mr. Ashma contacted me immediately to make appointment. He emailed that he was stuck in traffic before the appt. time and would be a few minutes late. I was appreciative of that. I had a garbage disposal replaced and also replaced two faucets that hooked up to my washing machine. The work was done very well and within the timeframe. Mr. Ashma was very personable and helpful. Would recommend his services.

I contacted East Bay for Handyman & Home Renovation on the 16th during the day and received a response from Aida that evening. Through email, I was able to get an appointment that fit my schedule (which can be really crazy sometimes) on the 18th. Aida was prompt, polite, and got to work quickly. It didn't take long at all and there was no mess left. I asked about the types of services he offered (he emailed me a list but I hadn't time to read it before he came), he told me and I am making a mental list of what I need done Thank you East Bay and Angie's List.

Okay, well, this is clearly very late, but Angie's List asks me all the time to review, so I'm doing it now. I didn't want to leave a review, because it's so incredibly inconsistent with the rest of his. I'm glad to see Adie has generally good reviews, because he's a very nice guy, and I could tell he wanted to do a good job. However, with ours, we had to undo everything he did and redo it. I don't know if I gave him to much to do, so he was taking shortcuts to try to get it all done, but it was all done poorly. We had tongue-in-groove wainscoting to install, he installed it groove-in-groove for a very uneven surface. Also on that, he only installed the wainscoting about 6 inches on either side of the sink, so you could see the damaged wall past that point. He didn't miter any of the corners of the trim or baseboard, just added a bunch of caulk in the corners to cover the two pieces meeting. Lastly, he completely miscalculated when putting the light fixture in, the mirror that needed to go up simply couldn't, as there wasn't enough room. As I said, we literally tore up everything he did and did it ourselves. To his credit, he did offer to come back the next weekend and redo everything, but we were so unsatisfied that it didn't seem worth bringing him back at that point. I'm very surprised he did such a bad job for us, as his reviews before our job were good, and they've generally been good since then. I guess we'll chalk it up to a bad day at the office?

The quality work was poor. They did not put enough electrical cord to move the light when we installed the sheet rock on the ceiling. By law they were supposed to install the light between the beams, but they did not do that. I was not pleased with the service. . The clean-up was fine and they were on time appointment

He overcame some unexpected issues and had to run around town looking for parts to fit our old bathroom fixtures. Still he completed the work in 9 hrs over two days.

Adie is professional, gives good advice and is quite personable. I highly recommend him.

Adwan was very pleasant to work with, as he is a no-nonsense, can-do person. Being a handyman is not easy because it requires a balance of independence in solving problems, but also asking enough questions to make sure that the product is what you wanted. Adwan did great at this balance, at least from our perspective. It took them a little longer than expected, but he devoted the extra time to get it done right away. This was much better than a handyman we previously used (who had left us hanging for weeks with half-done work). The quality was very good. When a new door to a crawlspace that he had made didn't look good to us, he was willing to come back and make it right, and it turned out nicely. In a few cases, we had to touch up his work, but nothing major. We thought the price was pretty reasonable. The price was arranged fairly informally. He did not plan on giving us a quote in writing until we asked for it. If it hadn't been for our previous experience, we would have been comfortable with verbal only and have no reason to think it wouldn't have been just fine in this case.

Went perfectly. Adie and his colleague were professional in every regard, as well as friendly and engaging. Work was superb--likely to last a good long time.

Adie was very professional. I had him install a new hood on top of my kitchen range and run the duct through the garage to the outside of the house. He gave me a very decent estimate for the work and bought all the supplies after we agreed on the price. He did a fantastic job with the installation. As I was getting my new appliances delivered that day, he obliged to my request of connecting the water line to the refrigerator. The LOWE's guy who delivered it refused to even put the refrigerator in place. He said it would not fit. But Adie said that it would and he was right. Overall, I'm happy that I found a good handyman for my home.

He did a great job; we'd definitely use him again!

The gentleman was very professional and nice, however, after several phone calls, we could not agree on a schedule so, I told him I was going to get a credit for this and he understood.

Came on time and did work as he promised. Would hire to fix things at home again.

The storm door was another story. The house was built in 1840 and the door was not the correct size. I am used to making things fit and finagling things to work with an old house.but he put the lockset in upside down - he did not read the directions- he was careless on installing the various steps. I called the company and they said that the reason the cover strip would not stay on is that the screws were not installed in the center of the channel. He installed an extra piece of wood on the doorknob side of the door without telling me that every time you turn the doorknob it would scrape your knuckles. He did not ask me if I still wanted the thing installed that way. I think there is a side to him that once he does not care or does not know what to do he just does what he can rather than saying that the door should not be installed at all or that there is an extension for the hinge side that could be added to help the doorknob side. I see hints of this side of him in a few other reviews so I know it is just not me. I left the lockset and the poorly done job throughout the winter as it was too cold by then to fix it. By April, I reviewed the directions and found that he mixed up the right sided with left sided door, never taped the template for the lockset so the holes are not in the right place etc but was completely stymied without a 3/4' drill bit to fix it myself. I had to take everything apart because he overlapped a lot of trim bits that should have fitted a certain way. I had the full directions and access to my laptop for a video for installation but he was not interested. I am working up the courage to ask the old handyman to come back to repair this one job for me -he is retired. It took me so long to write this review because I was too angry before then. I gave him a tip at the end of the job because he was complaining that Angie's list takes half of the money for the promotion and that he was thinking of stopping doing those jobs. I wouldn't mind my money back but don't even want him back to fix the problems.

Went well overall, but installer did not cut bottom leg so ladder would be straight/proper angle.

It went very smoothly. He was available 2 days after we 1st inquired about his services. The entire job was completed in about 6 hours. We'll definitely use him again to do a bunch of smaller jobs that we have.

Showed up on time, performed work in reasonable time (2 hours), cleaned up mess, and brought an electrician along for another job that wasn't covered under the coupon. The electrician was an extra charge, but even that was very reasonable and well performed!

He completed all tasks within the 2 hours estimated while also looked at several future jobs to give prices on for future visits. I strongly recommend him to friends and family members.

he handy man is personable and polite and conscientious. Painting is not his best activity; some of the work was done hastily and resulted in some less than neat work. I had to re-paint walls and do a lot of touch-ups to woodwork and walls. I am quite particular when it comes to painting walls, ceilings and woodwork.

Adie was very positive, punctual, and helpful, offering a number of suggestions to enhance the work required. Adie had two helpers work on the scrapping and the painting. Work was performed over two days and has held up nicely. Painting was neat and professional. The work crew cleaned up the work site and left it in pristine condition.
