We had a major drainage leak in our basement caused by worn out copper piping. I called Beedle's to come replace the copper piping with PVC and also replace a too-narrow washing machine drainage pipe. They showed up to give me a quote soon after I called, and then one man returned three days later to do the work. I am still kicking myself for leaving him alone in my basement to do his work. I should have stayed there and checked on him frequently. When he was ready for payment, I looked at the shoddy work he'd done and was horrified! The pipe from the washing machine that had formerly been bolted to the wall was now loosely swaying back and forth while supported by what looked like a flimsy closet bar holder. Despite having seen that the pipes he was to replace went through a wooden wall during the quoting phase, he now claimed that it was too hard to replace them because of the wall, so he'd cut them off at the wall point and replaced only one side. For this, he demanded full payment. I complained about paying the full quoted price since he'd only done half the work and left me with copper pipes that I was going to eventually have to pay someone else to replace. He reduced the price from the quoted $682 to $525. I paid, but not happily.
Description of Work: Replaced some worn-out copper piping and a too-narrow washing machine drainage pipe.
