+ -1 moreAfter we hired Mike, he began to clear our wooded lot and drill the well. When he actually started construction on our house, we knew immediately that this would be a great experience working with this builder. Not only did he assure us that we would be completely satisfied, he made changes upon our request that he never charged us for. I was responsible for ordering the fixtures and I ordered the wrong shower for the doorway he put into the bathroom. Instead of having me return the shower, he moved the header to the bathroom to accommodate this shower. We decided to extend the walk-in closet which he did while adjusting the dimensions of the linen closet on the other side. My wife wanted a step-up jacuzzi but after the platform was built, she realized that the curtains would have to be drawn all the time if she wanted to use it. He took down the platform and rebuilt it so this would not happen. Everything he did was top-notch and looked great.We were truly blessed to have met him and used him as our builder. We are friends to this day.
Description of Work: Mike build a home for my wife and I in Woodbury back in 1993. We took this quote to 3 other builders but after sitting down with him to discuss this project, we both felt extremely comfortable with him. He not only answered all our questions honestly but we both felt he was a down-to-earth individual. He was competitive on price and his quality was second to none. After several years had elapsed, he had always addressed any issues that may have arisen. The house has approximately 3900 square feet with an in-law apartment which my Mom & Dad enjoyed for many years. It is a colonial with all hardwood floors, beautiful kitchen, granite island, breakfast knook with a window seat. The formal dining room has crown molding, chair rail and a beautiful chandelier which he just replaced last year for me (no charge). The drop down family room has a marble fireplace and a mantel which we saw in a magazine and he replicated it! Formal living room has crown molding. Half bath downstairs has tile floors and walls with a pedestal sink. The upstairs has 2 guest bedrooms (all hardwoods) with a main bath for the guests. The master has crown molding and an office off to the side with a walk-in closet. The master bath has marble floors, jacuzzi and a great oversized shower. We were so satisfied with the work that we had him build my mother-in-law's house when she moved from N.Y. in 1996.
