Tom was amazing. Very thorough with the inspection. He explain everything as he inspected the home. He had a exterminator come in and inspect the home as well as a Oil company to check the oil tank. Again good experience. Thank You Tom!!!! That is all I can say about his expertise and knowledge. We were in the process of closing on our first house and Tom came out to do our inspections. Tom spent 3+ hrs inspecting everything in the house and was extremely diligent. His report that he provided had so much detail and provided great insight to us on what work was needed on the house. Because of Tom's inspection, we decided it wasn't worth moving forward which ended up saving us thousands and thousands of dollars down the road. To anyone buying a house I highly recommend having Tom out to inspect everything just to make sure you aren't buying a money pit. Thank you again Tom for all your efforts.

Tom is more than a cut above the rest! This is the third home I will have purchased and, until our Inspection with Allied, the home inspection was always just a box we checked without gaining any significant value. The value Tom brought to us was worth far more than the price of inspection. Tom arrived 45 minutes early to begin reviewing the outside of the home and was ready with a smile when my wife and I arrived. We took nearly 6 hours to go through every bolt and beam in the house. Tom has no sense of rush or urgency - his top concern was that my wife and I understood the home at a more than superficial level and left with the most detailed level of knowledge about what we were buying that could be provided. He executed on this agenda. This was a much larger home with many systems and mechanicals that I have not had experience owning or maintaining. Tom reviewed all of those with me and provided ample detail and suggestions about how best to service and ensure maintenance for long equipment life. He made pragmatic suggestions about what we may want to ask our sellers to address/remediate prior to closing and what might be reasonable for us to save until we get settled in. Tom arranged for, at no extra cost to us, separate in boiler and HVAC equipment and pest inspections. Our incredibly detailed inspection report was delivered the evening we completed the inspection and Tom followed up promptly with water and radon test results. For those, he didn;t just email the results, but instead followed with a call each time to ensure we understood what we were receiving and that we didn't have further questions. He also provided suggestions for experts who may be able to better answer certain questions if we wanted to engage more pointed professional on certain items. I would not only recommend Tom and Allied, but I would recommend that home purchasers in the area consider nobody but Tom and Allied. I am not an easy guy to please and I have absolutely no criticism. Professional, patient, utterly unbiased, generally nice to be around, Tom and Allied shattered my expectations and have truly set the bar for what a home inspection should be. Bravo and thank you!!

While one must be prepared to invest considerable time with Tom has he scours the home for weaknesses and other issues, the time is absolutely well spent. The home inspector was professional throughout the whole process. He took the time to explain everything in the home both good and bad. He even told me about the Dogwood tree in the front yard and how to care for it. The inspection report was detailed thorough and arrived promptly later that evening. I would hire them again to inspect another home.

Tom was thorough and informative. Led me from start to finish on both home inspections. Literally had me follow him throughout the inspection to ensure I saw everything he did. Went above in beyond to ensure I knew how all the mechanicals worked and to cap it off provided a thorough and complete inspection report even though he had shown me in person all of the issues before. Flat out a great home inspector. You won't be disappointed if you hire Tom.

Tom was professional and took the time to explain everything to me. Called in on a Thursday and had the inspection by Monday. Have had many home inspections done before but this one was the most detailed.

Tom was both friendly and professional. He made sure to explain every step of the inspection as he went from top to bottom of our new house. Tom was efficient, polite and punctual. He explained everything. I would say he caught 97% of the issues with my new home purchase. Thorough report, which 7months later i am still referring to when prioritizing renovations and repairs. I was a first time home buyer and he was worth every penny.

Tom is excellent at what he does and he saved us thousands of dollars by pointing out costly hard to find repairs. We were able to negotiate down the price of our home thanks to his thorough inspection, discussions during the inspection and descriptive final report. Because of his work I was able to confidently talk to realtors, lawyers, contractors, electricians, plumbers etc. about work that needed to be done and was able to find the right people to do the jobs because I understood the problems and how to fix them. He gave me piece of mind that we knew what we were buying and that there wouldn't be any hidden surprises. A year later there are still none. We probably could have saved a couple of hundred dollars hiring another inspector but we would not have received his valuable explanations, willingness to answer all of our many questions and his incredibly detailed report that I still refer to today. All of which saved us a ton of money in the long run. I'm so pleased that Tom was our inspector.

Tom came early and brought a heating and a`termite contractor with him (at no extra cost to us). He checked everything in the house and talked us through the whole inspection - alerting us to concerns and giving us pointers and ideas. We spent almost 4 1/2 hours looking at everything and then later that night, he e-mailed me a detailed inspection report with photos. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He is an independent inspector and does not have relationships with Realtors which is great for the home buyer - he works 100% for us. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone or use him again in the future.
