Very responsive, prompt, excellent price

I discovered Mr. Zaman on Angies List. He came right away, assessed my problem, and came the next day to fix the roof. It was a relatively small job but it was good doing business with him.

I called Zaman Carpentry on Wednesday night regarding a link we found in our master bedroom of a home we purchased four months ago. We were sure it was a new leak as it was stained our bathroom door. Zaman picked up the phone at 9:30 when I called and scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 8 am. He arrived promptly. I showed him the leak. He went on the roof. Came back in, and went back to the roof. He was a bit flummoxed as to what the problem might be when he came back in the second time, but was determined to see if he could find the root of the problem. Our attic is frankly not made for a human being, with a low overhead and pipes, but he climbed on his hands and knees and found where the leak was coming from and took a picture. He found that it was not quite a fresh leak and thought it was from the snow removal. On top of that, because he did not perform any actual work he said he wouldn't charge us because there was nothing he did. But in fact, he did give us some peace of mind. I would strongly recommend him for any of your roofing needs.

Overall we were very pleased. Zaman Carpentry installed our new roof last summer after we had some problems the previous winter. They finished ahead of schedule and did excellent work. Their price was lower than other quotes we received and the quality of work was excellent.

Zaman was the most responsive contractor I have ever used for anything at my house. They were more responsive than I could have asked, did a great job, and performed their services for a very reasonable fee. For responsiveness, I would give more A's than you can count. I sent an email on a Sunday night and had people out the next day after a hurricane. For the overall experience I would give an A +. Zaman was awesome.

They are extremely pleasant people and capable. They were here when they said they would be and went about their business. These folks are very capable and trustworthy which I think is the biggest thing. The final installation was precise and I was very satisfied with their work! I have nothing but praise for these people!

It was exceptional. They were wonderful. For the estimate, the man showed up extremely prompt and for the actual work, they were here precisely when they said they would. They are extremely pleasant people and capable. They also did a great job cleaning up.

I apologize for sending this review on a later date. My computer was experiencing technical difficulties. I now have the means to submit my review. They have done an excellent job with the upmost professionalism, and had very good communication. They completed their job in a timely manner as estimated. All debris was completely removed from the premises after the job was complete. I would definitely use and recommend this company again.

Outstanding job! Zaman Carpentry was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Seweryn (contact) ALWAYS responds quickly to your messages. Seweryn tried to fit us in as quickly as he could, even coming over on a Saturday after another morning job. This hard-working, articulate young man is highly capable and completely dedicated to making his customers happy. Seweryn Zaman arrived at our house promptly at 5 PM (our scheduled appointment time). He was gracious and extremely knowledgeable. He looked in our attic and, considering how large of a space it was, did not feel that we needed any additional ventilation (we have windows in the attic already). He did a thorough inspection of our house roof and did not find it in need of repair. From there, he inspected our garage roof and found a nail hole and a damaged shingle. He fixed both very quickly and refused payment for his work or his inspection. My husband & I fully expected to pay him for the work he had done. He work was impeccable. During the heavy rainstorm after his repairs, we found no evidence of our garage roof leaking. Thank you Seweryn!

Mr. Zaman was as good to his word from the days he worked, to the work, to the cleanup. I now have a beautiful, architectural shingle roof, new skylights and all of the holes and rotting have been repaired. And it only took him five days (would have been three, if it has not rained). Best of all, he did remove the previous roof, so we started fresh. The work is beautiful, the price was right, his crew was very professional and I would hire him in a minute again. He does outside carpentry ... and I had just had a new deck put on and now regret I didn't hire him to do THAT. I was terrified of hiring a roofer, but I found Zaman Carpentry on Angie's List and I couldn't be more thrilled, nor could I recommend the company and Mr. Zaman more. What a great experience.

Excellent! The staff was very courteous, professional and worked diligently the entire time on location. They protected the house with tarps before removing existing roof and were careful not to damage the landscaping. The cleanup was thorough each day and at the end of the job. For no extra cost, Zaman Carptentry repaired damage to the chimney that they discovered while removing the existing roof. This contractor is highly recommended for roofing jobs and was competive after I obtained 3 different quotes from contractors that were rated highly on Angies List.

They did a fantastic quality job for significantly less than others had quoted. House looks great. A few small punch list items took them a week or so to resolve. Overall, I think they did a great job.

He responded the same day to my call, rescheduled when I needed to without any problem, gave me the best quote I got, and did the work promptly and well.

I called him on a Friday to ask for a quote to redo our roof; he answered the phone and we scheduled an appointment for the following Wednesday. He arrived at the time agreed upon, spent about 20-30 minutes climbing around the roof, and left us with a proposal before he left. 2 weeks later, we asked him to come back again to look at the roof over the porch, which we had neglected to mention the first time around; we scheduled the appointment for 2 days later, at which time he gave us a quote for the additional work. While we ultimately wound up choosing a different company for this project, we were impressed with Seweryn's polite manner and prompt responses to our inquiries and would not hesitate to contact him again for future projects.

I was very excited to be working with Zaman and his crew after doing some competitive analysis and meeting him in person. His commitment to his craft is evident. Unfortunately, having fallen behind his schedule he actually turned away my business in the final hour because he was overbooked...discovered this after the third meeting time that had fallen through on his end to sign the contract. All in all, very disappointing and unprofessional; running a successful business is about more than commitment to one's craft and if there were one suggestion for this business with much potential, it is to take as much time to commit to your customers/prospective customers as your craft and your business will flourish even faster.

Prompt callback to schedule a time to come out for estimate. Courteous service, great pictures provided post job, work area cleaned. Quote was originally $1600, but a rotted fascia board brought the total to $1750. Other roofers put that work in the original quote, but no big deal as total cost was still lower overall.

They did a very good, neat and fine job. They cleaned up everything afterwards without leaving any mess around. They were so willing to work and took care of everything. I have no complaints against them. The quality of their work looks really nice. They replaced the whole roof within two days from the time they said they would come out. I would use them again in the future.

They came out quickly, gave a quote and repaired it before a big storm came this weekend. I will be needing a new roof in a few years and I am holding onto this companies card.

Seweryn Zaman was the quickest to respond and had the most competitive quotes for what we wanted to do, and he and his team were very prompt and professional. In November 2011 we first had them remove the top of the chimney down to just below the roofline, and repair the roof. This job was done in one day, for $1100. While he was there, we asked if he could repair a small hole in the roof of our garage, which he did at no additional charge. In March we called him back to remove the remainder of the chimney down to just below the first floor, and to extend the subflooring to cover the holes in three floors (attic, 2nd floor closet, 1st floor kitchen). Once again, the job was completed in one day, for $1600. He also removed the portion of the chimney that was in the basement, since it was unstable. Even though that was not in the original quote, he did it at no additional charge. We will definitely be using Zaman Carpentry in the future, and we recommend them to anyone looking for a job done well, quickly, and for a good price.

Excellent work!!!Last year Zaman Carpentry LLC replaced roof on my house. This year I decided to replace roof on myrental property and called Seweryn to give me an estimate. As expected he showed up on time andonce again I received very competitive quote comparing to 2 other contractors that came in. I decided togo with Seweryn. Again, I could not have been more satisfied with the work and professionalism of Mr.Zaman. He sent me an email with a couple of options that I should consider since there is a presence oflight to moderate tree debris from time to time. He highlighted a couple of selections and also providedme with his expertise which was very helpful and saved me some $$$$. They started the work at 7amsharp and finished the roof next day as promised. I was blown away by the dedication, efficiency andquality of work of Zaman and his crew. They worked very hard for 2 days straight and I am very satisfiedwith the results. Once again the clean-up was great and work was done on time. I definitely got morebang for my buck with Zaman Carpentry LLC.I would highly recommend Zaman Carpentry LLC for any roofing project.

Mr Zaman came to our home and provided a cost and schedule estimate. He later called to indicate that he would be able to start the work even sooner than his original estimate. He and his crew came when they said they were going to come, worked very hard, did a good, professional job and finished on time. Clean-up at the job site was thorough. The price charged was equal to his original estimate. I was very impressed with his professionalism and would recommend him without reservation.

This fellow is probably the best contract I ever worked with! He was better than anything I could ask for.He took digital pictures of my roof he said when somebody installed my oven they didn't put flesh around it. He didn't charge me anything. Because they could not warranty the work because the job was to small. He gave me the evaluation for free and fix the problem for free. He's just as all honest as can be. He has earned my business for life.

It was a free estimate. The response time was good, it was quick. Their quote was satisfactory, it was also quick. I would consider working with them in the future.
