It went nowhere. I asked Kaitlyn to please allow me to speak to someone who can help if she is not in a position to help. She told me she was the owner implying there was really no one else to escalate this to. The conversation continued but then suddenly a man jumped on the phone and started speaking to me in a harsh way. Who is this, I asked? He replied this is her father but did provide his name. Wondering why Kaitlyn needed her father to speak for her (he later clarified that he was also the owner), I attempted to reason with the gentleman in the same manner but to no end. He was willing to discount $49 from any work he does but won't honor the original terms. That was not an acceptable resolution as that does not come close to the original deal of $49 for $249. Also he even told me that $49 won't buy much of his time. As both parties were partially to at fault, a more equitable resolution is warranted but the provider failed to see it that way. I acknowledge the fact that I should have been more proactive before the expiry of the coupon. But life events happen sometimes when you least expect. With so many providers out there why should I choose on that doesn't even acknowledge their mistake? Who knows... perhaps I lost $49 but perhaps saved some headache in the long run.

We had them look at several switches and give a quote on a ceiling fan installation. They do good work and we'd definitely recommend them. The one person that came out identified that we had a short in our kitchen light, and was able to resolve it in less than an hour.

Amazing!!!!!! Our family was expanded and we needed to add another room to the house. Not having the money to move or add on we hired Better Built Basements to remodel the inside of our house. Wow!!! Jim (the owner) came to our house for a free estimate and helped us design our new dream home. I couldn't believe the amount of work they completed in the first day. They had the demo and framing done in less than 1 day. Everything else was smooth sailing. Jim and his staff were open to changes my wife wanted to make along the way. Jim, Don, Rick and the entire staff did an amazing job and I'm sure we'll have them back for future projects. This is the 3rd time we've used Better Built Basements. They did provide the measurements but we did not end up using them for the actual work.

Excellent service. Two technicians showed up on time and were very friendly. What I needed done was not complicated, and they were done within 20 mins. No complaints whatsoever.

The first few meetings with the design consultant were very smooth and he delivered a quote very quickly. We were looking at other contractors as well, so he understood that and did not cross the line between following up and being overbearingly pushy. When we finally made te decision to go with Better Built Basements, the original design consultant and one of the company owners came to the house to discuss all the details and to sign the contract. I was impressed that the company owners are closely involved with the work. That showed me right away that they care about the customer and the final product. The project started on time and all laborers were very professional and courteous. They also use an online scheduling tool so that you can log on and see what work is scheduled for that week in your home. This was very convenient. At one point during the project, there was a concern about a particular portion that didn't seem to be going the way we wanted it to go. I contacted them with our concerns, and within an hour, the owners were at my home to view the progress and discuss our concerns. Overall, the quality of work is very good and the price is fair. The real value stands in the time between start and finish. In just over a month, my basement went from bare concrete walls and floor, to a nice two room addition to my home. I give my highest recommendation for Better Built Basements to anyone looking to have this type of work done in their home.

Provider came out after long wait to schedule then did not provide estimate in timely manner..got tired of waiting and the whole process with this provider.

Talk about unfinished to unbelievable! Better Built Basements turned our basement into a new living space. We have a new tv room, kids play/rec room, and a new 1/2 bathroom. The services provided included....Framing, insulation, drywall, plumbing, electrical (including baseboard heat), carpet, paint, ceramic tile, drop ceiling, closets, shelving, and added a new french door. Also, all the little extra work that was completed was a treat. Randy, Jim and Wayne are true professionals and were a pleasure to work with. Kim and Kaitlyn from the office were excellent as well, always prompt to respond to our constant and annoying questions. Every subcontractor that worked in our home from BBB were always courteous and respectful. They always cleaned up when they were done. I recommend them to anyone thinking about getting their basement finished. Excellent work!

We selected 4 different Angie's list contractors to quote on my wife's office project. She is a landscape architect and designed her office exactly how she wanted it with special size drawers, cabinets and a built in desk. BBB was prompt to look at the job and had a quote to us in one week. Most others contractors took over 3-4 weeks to provide us with quotes. BBB was not the lowest price, but their professionalism and communication was top notch, following up with my wife on the specifics of what she wanted. Once we paid the 50% deposit, they turned the custom cabinets and built ins around in approx. 4 weeks and installed everything in 3 days. The quality of the materials and the installation were excellent. Don, the lead carpenter was very experienced and did everything to make the job perfect. We had problems with the drawer sliders and they came back and replaced them twice until they worked exactly the way my wife wanted and how they were specified. It was great to have a contractor tell us - "we will make it right until your happy" and follow through. The entire office looks fantastic and my wife is very happy. We had a number of smaller repairs on other built ins in our house that we ashed BBB to repair. Don fixed everything in one day. Everyone at the company is passionate about the customer and their satisfaction. We can highly recommend BBB - they are top notch.

They offered a deal for electrical service for 49 bucks..i'm not sure why they did since they are a basement finishing company...I wanted a ceiling fan installed in my living room..they failed to return calls said they would get back to me never did..finally set up an appointment a week after talking with the office girl..the appointment was just for an estimate but she said the job could probably be done that week..it's been over a week and no estimate or response. I've been trying to get this job done since may...I'm done and just want my money back.

My husband and I scheduled an appointment on Monday for Thursday morning. I stayed home and my husband and I waited...and waited...no show. No call. No rescheduling. No apology or explanation . Just never showed up wasting our time and getting our hopes up for nothing. Very frustrating experience trying to find help with some work in our home.

Wow... Really all I can say about Jim & Chris and the whole Better Built Basements crew is.... Awesome. As our family's first major project on our house, I couldn't be happier with the end result AND the team that did it. Jim was more than accommodating to all of my questions (and there were lots of them, lol) and scheduling needs. The crew that performed the work: Gregg, Doug, Mike (electrical), Mike (Painting), the plumbing crew(sorry I forgot their names) who did some extra work for me while he was here, the carpet crew who had to come out twice due to manufacturing defect in the carpet, and Jose... I know I am leaving out some people so apologize... Everyone was awesome, friendly, professional, and kept the place clean. The Craftsmanship was excellent, and if I ever wanted something changed or had a question, they were all willing to answer and accommodate my needs. Scheduling was amazing too, who has ever heard of a project finishing in the time quoted during initial contact... We have. They quoted about a month, and finished just about a month to the day from start to finish. Excellent and true to their word. Thanks BBB Team for making what my son has now commandeered as HIS playroom, a beautiful new addition to the house that will get a LOT of use for the years to come.

The whole process was very professional - from the estimate to the final walkthrough. BBB has their stuff together, they tell you what they're going to do and do it. I think the project took 4 weeks to complete form the start date. They have an online calendar that keeps you informed of who's coming and when, and everyone showed up when they were suppose to. All the workers were very professional. The work is done to a high standard and we're very happy with the results.

Better Built Basements turned our basement into a beautiful finished family room. The services provided included.... Insulation, drywall, plumbing, electrical ( including baseboard heat), carpet, paint, ceramic tile, ceiling, and they hung my TV on the wall... Chris, Randy, Jim are true professionals and were a pleasure to work with. Every person that stepped in our home from BBB were always courteous and respectful.. Kaitlyn and Kim in the office are awesome. They were very timely in their responses with any questions my wife and I had. We received 3 quotes for our basement work and BBB came in the lowest. I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about finishing their basement.. Job well done!

This went very well. The crew communicated well along the way, and this moved much more quickly than I had expected. Actually, any delays were my fault for being slow to make choices, or decisions! I was very happy with the work - high quality. There were a few times when we had to figure something out - and those conversations went very well. Overall - I would recommend BBB to anyone.

On time on budget. They did a phenomenal job. I am extremely happy. Very professional and on time every morning. They are the premier basement finishing company in the area. I was absolutely thrilled with their work. Project management website to let you know the work they were doing each day. All the contractors were very respectful, clean, and professional. I dealt with the owner on a personal basic a couple of times, and he gave us an extra comfort level to make us feel well about the job.

My bathroom was installed in two weeks. I was advised it can take 3 weeks and I expected it to last longer because of the inspections. However, it was finished in a shorter amount of time. Here's why I like BBB. 1. They are here when they say they will be at the time stated. The website Builder Trend keeps you informed of what jobs are scheduled for what day. 2. All of the workmen were extremely neat and got the job done as expected. 3. They are trustworthy. I worked from home the first day but felt I could comfortably go to work and not worry about what was being done at my house. I would come home and whatever was scheduled, was completed. If there is a question or concern, you are contacted promptly. 4. Per the contract, I picked out my fixtures, they picked them up and installed them. There were no surprises, the contract was met as written. 5. Everyone I came in contact with was professional and courteous. This is a big plus in my book! 6. After the sign-off of the job, I felt I could not live without an extra electrical outlet in the washer/dryer area (for ironing) and that the ceiling insulation and plastic covering was understandably disturbed and coming down in some places in the storage area. An email was sent and the result was that Jim sent two men to take care of these items on my schedule. No hassle--this is excellent customer service. It was done today. I am a satisfied customer from quote to end of job--plus some! If you are the type of customer that wants to be involved in every aspect of the job and wants to talk to each worker and ask questions as it goes along, you need to be available when they are at the job. Otherwise, you will not see or hear from them. This was not the case for me. I did not want to be home. If I had a question, I emailed the office or called and received my information promptly. I am planning on having them replace my basement stairs--they have a stair company! Also, I like the flooring so much I will be installing that in my other bathrooms. This is my 5 star endorsement for BBB.

My husband called prior to purchasing to try to ask questions but they refused to talk to us unless we bought the certificate. That seemed ridiculous, but he purchased it anyway. A couple of months passed and I realized the work still wasn't done, so I contacted them. They were very nice and the girl who answered the phone was polite and helpful. When I described the ceiling work she had to talk to someone (contractor I think) and came back to say "sorry we don't do that type of work". Oh dear, well, we still had sliding doors to do, so I described that. Once again, she spoke to one of the contractors and they immediately said they didn't do that either. I must say I was not only disappointed but quite annoyed that a company who advertises that they do basements would neither do a basement typical ceiling nor typical sliding doors! I was appreciative to be able to get a refund or use the money as a credit to other Angies list purchases. Angie's list was very helpful and easy to deal with about this and they were also surprised that neither of these projects were able to be completed by this basement contractor. I'm sorry to say I cannot recommend them due to the inability of doing work that would normally be easy for a basement contractor to complete.

They finished approximately a third of our basement including drywall, insulation, flooring, lighting, heating and ceiling. Their scheduling process was simple to follow. Everyone was extremently professional. Any concerns were addressed in a very timely manner. And overall, we feel the work was excellent and we would highly recommend Better Build Basement. Overall, it was a excellent experience and we would use them again if the opportunity presents itself.

They were awesome! I was pleased with their professionalism, reliability, and workmanship.

All the electrial outlets were repaired and power restored. They now can be used safely. The light fixture in the entry way was installed and provides a great deal of needed light and is very pretty. The microwave will be installed at a later date because cabinet work had to be done in order to install the microwave over the stove which will give me much more counter space. I have talked to Jim in the office and we are working on getting this work completed as soon as possible. I found everyone I spoke with to be very professional and friendly and most helpful. I would recommend this company to anyone that is in need of work.

Associate that came out to our house promptly was nice and professional. He listened to our needs and gave feedback. The set of plans that we received were very basic and the custom design was just a quote for work to be done that most companys offer for free. I also felt that their quote was high. We have not utilized them for this work.
