4/23/2010 On the first visit by the owner of this company, I agreed to contract them. He introduced himself as Mike, asked for a down payment which I provided. First mistake. He asked me to make the check out to Frank Mitchell, not Mike ? He immediately drove to my bank and cashed the check.
4/30/2010 Soon after his and crew's arrival, he was solicited by a neighbor. He agreed to resurface their driveway also. Not at a later date, the same day. As a gratuity for allowing this, he offered to seal my "new driveway" at a later date.. Didn't happen. I have called him on several occasions since, to no avail.
This contract stated 2" of new asphalt. After having it replaced two years later due to poor construction, I found the level of new asphalt he placed was approximately 1".
There's more to this story but in short, "DO NOT CONTRACT A-1 ASPHALT PAVING.
