Because of need for furniture and shelf moving this was a difficult job. Workmen showed up on time, worked steadily and did a good job. My only complaint was seriously scratched wood floor due to moving shelves.

Rick and his team were very professional and cleaned up as they went along. Each day, they arrived on time and work most of the day. They even came on Saturday to finish up. I was impressed with the quality of work and care they put in.

Did not fully cover all areas--problems in family room and porch. Had to have them back to redo it, but it became hard to get them back. They finally did and the work was acceptable.

It went great. Crew was very professional. Rick responded promptly to look at the job and provide a quote. They powerwashed the house on a Thursday and came back the following Monday and Tuesday to do the painting and replace the rotted wood. Excellent job. And on top of everything, Rick did not take a penny until the job was finished and he knew I was satisfied. I highly recommend this business.

They did a great job. Rick came out to give a quote within a day, scheduled us for the next week, had a large, hard working, professional, and pleasant crew. They got the job done fast, on time, and we're very happy. We'd hire again.

It went really well! Rick showed up promptly for the estimate, gave us a competitive estimate right away, and worked within a tight time line to deliver high-quality painting services. One very positive thing worth mentioning is that when you hire Rick's Colonial Painting, you're hiring an army. These guys hit some fairly big spaces and in 2 days, made them look outstandingly beautiful. In fact, I liked what Rick's team did so much that we decided to paint one extra room. Rick was able to accommodate that request within an even tighter time line. When we looked for painters, we looked for professionals who would value our time and get the job done right. Rick's Colonial Painting did that. We couldn't be more pleased. I'm a Rick's Colonial Painting fan and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

They did what they said they were going to do and more. They showed us as scheduled and completed the job in an expeditious manner. The crew was very friendly and helpful. Quality of painting was excellent....the best we ever had. We will hire them again, without shopping for another quote.

Excellent. I have used Rick's many times over the past 15 years. They are punctual, polite, neat, and the pricing is fair. I don't bother anymore to get comparative quotes. They have done the exterior of my house twice and various rooms in my house. What more can I say? They are very accommodating and value their customer base. That is good business and we are amazed at how many small companies just don't understand that.

Had a limited time frame before moving into new house and Rick said he could get the work completed before move in. The night prior to move I went by the new house and found a note from Rick saying "All Done". As there was minimal light in the house and it was dark outside, I waited until the following morning to fully inspect the work. After inspecting, I saw there were entire areas of the wall which were not given an second coat of paint; i.e. I could see through the brush marks to the primer under. Paint sprayed in various areas on the hardwood floor, could see through other areas of the paint on trim and window sills, paint splatter all over the windows, cabinets hadn't been painted well and could see through several areas of the paint on those also. Sloppy work in general. There was a picture on the wall which was taken down and the nail not removed, just painted over. The cabinet knobs had been screwed back on before the paint was dry so creating a 'twisted' paint effect. When I pointed this part out to Rick, he said I was just being picky. When I called the following day after inspecting, Rick said he would have someone come out on the following Monday. We moved in over that weekend so it was extremely inconvenient as I couldn't set up the room and hd to keep the furniture in the middle of the room. I assumed Rick would be the one to come out however another worker showed up at my back door early on Monday morning with a single paint brush in hand and said "Hi, I hear there's a few things I need to fix"...I let him know it would probably be a rather large job and he set to work. After finishing, he asked if he could take a check to give to Rick. I said, I would like to inspect in full daylight before paying. I looked at the rooms again in better lighting the following day. Still, problems with coverage, paint splattered everywhere, etc., etc. I called Rick. He came out the following day and spent an hour or so cleaning up the work. Seemed ok so I paid him and he left. Notice he cashed the check immediately. When I then went to put the shelves back in the cabinets I saw they had completed overlooked painting an entire side of one shelf. At that point I just painted it myself. Went to then change height of some shelves and realized they never took out the shelf holders so now there's dark wood showing if I want to adjust the shelf height. Just sloppy, sloppy work. Not at all what I'd expected from professional painters with such great previous reviews on Angie's List. But, you get what you pay for I suppose and he was approximately 50% cheaper than other quotes I'd received.

Rick was extremely responsive. We took multiple quotes and his was the best both in terms of price and schedule. His team was so professional. They did a fantastic job, moved furnitures, completed the job on time , cleaned after them. We would use them again.

Rick's crew painted a badly peeling house and when they were finished it looked like new. I was very concerned at the outset of the job that I might have an uneven, blotchy job. Not at all! All the faults were corrected. The pressure washing, the preparation painting, neceesary carprenty repairs and staining of the decks was all superbly and professionally done. The crew was punctual, worked hard and cleaned up after each days work. I give them an unconditional recommendation,

We wanted the work done by the end of August. Rick was the only one of 3 who quoted who said he would definitely have the work done on time. And he kept his word. His men were very good to work with. Good guys who work hard and do a great job. Little extras were no problem. Rick was easy to talk to. Returned all calls in a timely manner. These guys are pro's. Would use again and recommend to others.

They arrived at 8:30 am and exept for a short lunch break completed the job in 7 hours. My family room has a 12ft ceiling and 2-24 foot beams plus 2 book cases which were painted white. The back of the bookcase was painted the color of the walls.

We called for an estimate and never got a call back.

I will hire them again in the future for other rooms as needed.

I found them on Angie's List and his quote was the lowest I got. He was professional and his quote looked better, more like a contract. He provided all the details perfectly of what he was going to do and why; I liked it. His responsiveness was good and he came out about a half-hour after we first spoke on the phone.

Rick was the utmost in professionalism from quoting the project to executing the project.

Excellent experience from start to finish. I wall called first thing in the morning after submitting a request for a quote the evening before through their website. Within a very short time Rick came out and left a written quote with two options, one included the ceiling one did not. Price was excellent, we have a 4000 SF home with a very high front foyer with stair case, so it is technically very challenging to get up that high and safely work. He gave me a very realistic estimate as to when his team could do the work, and contacted me two days ahead by email to confirm. I and my wife were working that day so I felt comfortable enough after meeting Rick to facilitate access when we were not there. The night before he came, I found a coupon in Angies list for 5% off. I emailed Rick if his quote included this discount or not. He easily could have said yes..but he said no, and I could take 5% off of the quote he left. Completely Honest business man. Did not get home til late that evening, and how nice to find out they did the entire job in one day! Amazing job, cut in well, and it looks like they even washed a second story window that I have never done because it is so high up. House was left in spotless condition. Will definitely use Ricks for future work. ,

When I called Rick to get an estimate, he showed up the next (which was a Saturday, no less!). After trying to get a couple of estimates from other companies, and getting frustrated at either the lack of response or high prices of other companies, I accepted Rick's estimate. His team did a very nice job and I love the way it looks. He did the work when he said he would and completed it on time. I would recommend Rick's Colonial Painting to anyone.
