Freddy called me before I could close my web browser. When I explained my problem he was there within an hour. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He fixed my main line clog in 30 minutes and told me about other issues he had found. I will use him again anytime I have a problem.

They were able to come within a couple of hours to assess the situation. We determined that using a water jet/power washer would be better than the snake they had with them. That required another truck with the correct equipment so they came back later in the day to do the job. Since it wasn't clear whether the problem was actually going to be solved by clearing out the drain or whether the drain was broken somewhere farther up the line, it was a bit of a crap shoot. The advice I got on several fronts was to try drain cleaning first as it might solve the problem, or if it didn't, at least you'd then have more information about what to do next (excavation and replacement). Fortunately, the blockage was only a few feet up from the outlet, and the problem was solved quite quickly. Once the blockage was cleared, they ran the power washer up the whole line as well as a camera to make sure there were no other issues. Freddy and his sons were very competent, organized, personable and experienced. I'm very glad they were able to solve the problem.
Description of Work: Exterior drain was blocked causing the basement to flood as the water table rose.

My problem was a blocked culvert under my yard, about 150' in length. First, I read his reviews, and the lady who excoriated him for declining to turn from a plumber into a jackhammer operator. I read that as he did the job requested just fine, so both reviews were positive. I called him, and he showed up the next day to take a look at the job. He walked the length of the culvert, checked the flow into and out of it, and agreed it was clogged. (I had visions of some animal having climbed in and died; luckily that wasn't the case. :-) He was ready to start right in. Unfortunately, we had an appointment coming up, but he was perfectly happy to come by two days later. And he did so, right on time. I thought he was going to run a camera to check the problem, but he explained it didn't really make sense, because he'd have to do that anyway after clearing it the problem, so he'd first run a water jet to clean it up. He started at the upper end, but couldn't clear the clog. He ran his hose to the outlet, and that cleared it. After that, he tried to run his camera through, but it hung up at a bend a third of the way along, and wouldn't go further. He then took off his jacket and _climbed the length of the culvert_ to verify that it was clear. I happily paid his price, which was reasonable for the job, and remarkable for what he had to do. Any problems in the plumbing and I know who I'm gonna call.

You're going to have to decide what this vendor should have done given the situation. After working on the clog with a snake for about thirty minutes, Freddy decided to vacuum out the standing water to see what was going on in the drain. We were working on slab so we didn't have a cleanout to work with. When we shined a flashlight down the drain 18" down in the trap was sitting a dalop of mortar dropped in by the plumber and allowed to harden to cover about 80% of the drain diameter. he said, "there's your problem" and packed up his stuff. So I just spent $3500 for a new bathroom shower and it doesn't work. I asked Freddy if he would be willing to take a payment to cover his cost rather than the full $285, since he technically did not resolve the problem. He laughed and said, "Hey, I came out here as promised and attempted to resolve the problem. It's not my fault that you have cement in your drain." I said that he technically did not clear the drain and that it would be good karma to accept enough money to cover a servide call cost, say $150. He said, "It will be $285", and didn't want to hear anything about my situation. I told him, "Ok, you have a choice. I have numerous rental properties with a total of sixteen baths and don't currently have a go-to plumber. You can accept a lower payment and become my go-to plumber or take your $285 and you'll never hear from me again" . he said, "$285". I gave hime $185 and I'll never use him again.
