Straight-Up Builders is a full service construction company, family owned and operated since 1992. Kelly Dykstra is a licensed general conractor with over 20 years of diverse experience in all phases of home improvement, remodeling and new construction. Our extensive services include basement, kitchen, and bathroom remodel, flooring, room additions, exterior improvements such as fencing, porches, decks, garages and barns, and most minor to major repairs. We are also experts in major renovations and demolitions. We are a family-friendly company, always striving to provide outstanding customer service. Due to our many years in the construction industry, we have developed proven relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Because of the value we place on superior workmanship, we will manage quality control every step of the way.

Arrived on the 2nd of September and did all the frame and drywall work. Relocated electrical wall plug and cable TV connection. Dry wall was covered to match existing fireplace area. Returned on 3rd, Saturday Morning painted area to match and installed flat screen TV holder and attached TV to new wall. Done by noon. Watched football game that afternoon.
Description of Work: Remodeled our combination fireplace - entertainment center. Closed off the large recessed area where a large older model TV had been set in it. Rebuilt the large opening to match the rest of the fireplace and installed and hung a flat screen TV on the wall.

Was going to stain a 5 foot picket fence myself, but after looking at the overgrowth of plants and vines and the inconsistent spring weather I called Straight-up Builders who I have used before. Kelly Dykstra, owner came out himself and gave estimate. I accepted and when we got a 2 to 3 day break from rain and moisture he came out and started at 7 AM. He finished in a day and a half using a roller and brush. The stain took beautifully and I was very satisfied.
Description of Work: Painted 5' picket fence on both sides in front on house and inside of fence on sides and back.

As a result of hailstorm in July, I had damage to the roof, paint on the house, paint on concrete steps, air conditioner, windows and garage door. Kelly Dykstra of Straight-Up Builders, Inc., made all the necessary contacts to the subcontractors giving me prices on all jobs. He also contacted Insurance Company and handled all necessary paper work. Also showed up on job of each subcontractor.
Description of Work: Provided subcontractors to perform work on house that had hail damage.
